damnable_a state_n by_o sin_n because_o they_o believe_v not_o on_o i_o therefore_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n when_o he_o work_v in_o the_o heart_n as_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n he_o do_v it_o by_o work_v in_o we_o by_o the_o law_n for_o by_o the_o law_n be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n rom._n 3.20_o and_o he_o in_o this_o his_o work_n be_v proper_o call_v a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n 1._o because_o by_o the_o law_n he_o show_v we_o that_o indeed_o we_o be_v in_o bondage_n to_o the_o law_n the_o devil_n and_o death_n and_o damnation_n for_o this_o be_v our_o proper_a state_n by_o nature_n though_o we_o see_v it_o not_o until_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n shall_v come_v to_o reveal_v this_o our_o state_n of_o bondage_n unto_o our_o own_o sense_n by_o reveal_v to_o we_o our_o quest._n do_v thou_o not_o find_v intermix_v with_o these_o fear_n plain_a assertion_n that_o thy_o first_o comfort_n be_v either_o from_o thy_o fancy_n or_o from_o the_o devil_n and_o a_o fruit_n i_o but_o prithee_o look_v back_o upon_o thy_o answer_n how_o much_o of_o god_n do_v thou_o think_v be_v in_o these_o thing_n how_o much_o of_o his_o spirit_n and_o the_o grace_n of_o his_o word_n just_o none_o at_o all_o for_o it_o can_v be_v that_o these_o thing_n can_v be_v the_o true_a and_o natural_a effect_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n no_o not_o as_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n these_o be_v not_o his_o do_n do_v thou_o not_o see_v the_o very_a paw_n of_o the_o devil_n in_o they_o yea_o in_o every_o one_o of_o thy_o ten_o confession_n be_v there_o not_o palpable_o high_a wickedness_n in_o every_o one_o of_o the_o effect_n of_o this_o fear_n i_o conclude_v then_o as_o i_o begin_v that_o the_o fear_n that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n work_v be_v good_a and_o godly_a not_o only_o because_o of_o the_o author_n but_o also_o because_o of_o the_o ground_n and_o effect_n but_o yet_o it_o can_v last_v no_o long_o as_o such_o as_o produce_v the_o aforesaid_a conclusion_n then_o till_o the_o spirit_n as_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n come_v because_o that_o then_o the_o soul_n be_v manifest_o take_v out_o of_o the_o state_n and_o condition_n into_o which_o it_o have_v bring_v itself_o by_o nature_n and_o sin_n and_o be_v put_v into_o christ_n and_o so_o by_o he_o into_o a_o state_n of_o life_n and_o blessedness_n by_o grace_n therefore_o if_o first_o fear_n come_v again_o into_o thy_o soul_n after_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n have_v be_v with_o thou_o know_v they_o come_v not_o from_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o apparent_o from_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o devil_n for_o they_o be_v a_o lie_n in_o themselves_o and_o their_o effect_n be_v sinful_a and_o devilish_a object_n but_o
