present_o to_o overcome_v we_o as_o to_o put_v we_o in_o mind_n that_o heretofore_o we_o have_v be_v overcome_v with_o they_o shall_v now_o repent_v for_o they_o sometime_o a_o man_n shall_v lie_v great_a householder_n if_o he_o complain_v of_o uncleanness_n whether_o he_o be_v not_o a_o youngman_n &_o unmarried_a if_o he_o be_v humble_v with_o covetousness_n whether_o he_o be_v not_o old_a because_o diverse_a country_n calling_n age_n condition_n and_o estate_n of_o man_n have_v their_o diverse_a and_o peculiar_a sin_n which_o we_o must_v right_o discern_v howbeit_o of_o what_o sex_n soever_o they_o be_v man_n or_o woman_n of_o what_o complexion_n soever_o they_o be_v of_o what_o knowledge_n to_o discern_v sin_n in_o what_o degree_n of_o commit_v sin_n of_o what_o age_n mad_a or_o with_o the_o fear_n of_o run_v out_o of_o their_o wit_n than_o with_o the_o conscience_n of_o sin_n which_o thing_n if_o we_o find_v in_o they_o it_o be_v our_o part_n to_o travel_v with_o they_o that_o they_o make_v a_o less_o matter_n of_o the_o outward_a shame_n and_o more_o conscience_n of_o the_o inward_a sin_n neither_o must_v we_o here_o forget_v to_o distinguish_v between_o and_o so_o after_o be_v constrain_v to_o blaze_v they_o all_o abroad_o when_o they_o be_v remediless_a but_o of_o this_o by_o the_o way_n because_o we_o shall_v more_o large_o touch_v it_o in_o the_o last_o part_n to_o come_v it_o be_v sufficient_a to_o commit_v sin_n before_o knowledge_n but_o after_o some_o good_a light_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o sin_n breed_v either_o hardness_n of_o heart_n be_v true_o grieve_v &_o let_v they_o beware_v that_o make_v a_o dalliance_n with_o sin_n for_o either_o hardness_n of_o heart_n will_v overtake_v they_o or_o a_o trouble_a conscience_n will_v quite_o the_o minister_n shall_v touch_v our_o most_o privy_a and_o secret_a sin_n to_o be_v glad_a private_o to_o be_v admonish_v to_o profit_v by_o our_o enemy_n when_o they_o do_v reproach_v we_o and_o those_o man_n trouble_v for_o this_o privy_a pride_n they_o be_v touch_v or_o not_o touch_v if_o the_o veil_n of_o sin_n be_v great_a in_o they_o that_o it_o hide_v christ_n from_o they_o it_o be_v the_o good_a will_n of_o god_n that_o by_o this_o sight_n of_o their_o most_o secret_a sin_n they_o shall_v come_v to_o see_v the_o righteousness_n that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o so_o they_o may_v know_v that_o all_o their_o religion_n be_v but_o hypocrisy_n and_o all_o their_o righteousness_n to_o be_v but_o unrighteousness_n or_o for_o the_o abuse_n of_o their_o knowledge_n in_o that_o they_o make_v it_o but_o a_o mask_n to_o juggle_v in_o and_o that_o they_o make_v their_o affection_n to_o fight_v with_o their_o own_o judgment_n we_o must_v remedy_v this_o by_o not_o think_v of_o ourselves_o above_o that_o that_o be_v meet_v and_o by_o labour_v to_o embrace_v the_o truth_n and_o here_o let_v we_o note_v that_o many_o of_o god_n child_n accuse_v themselves_o of_o hypocrisy_n when_o the_o body_n need_v rather_o a_o strong_a purgation_n than_o a_o matter_n restorative_n and_o as_o incarnative_a medicine_n for_o the_o time_n allaye_v the_o pain_n of_o the_o patient_a but_o after_o the_o grief_n become_v more_o grevous_a so_o the_o comfortable_a apply_v of_o god_n promise_n be_v not_o so_o profitable_a for_o every_o one_o that_o be_v humble_v especial_o when_o their_o latter_a fit_n grind_v they_o sore_a than_o the_o former_a some_o there_o be_v who_o without_o precept_n and_o practice_n be_v their_o own_a physician_n and_o these_o so_o soon_o as_o the_o fit_n come_v upon_o they_o think_v it_o the_o best_a to_o chastise_v and_o to_o chase_v away_o their_o sorrow_n by_o drink_v at_o tavern_n by_o minstrelsy_n in_o merry_a company_n by_o purge_v melancholy_a in_o physic_n all_o which_o seem_v to_o wear_v away_o the_o pain_n for_o a_o while_n but_o yet_o after_o it_o bit_v more_o deeplye_n when_o the_o burn_a fever_n of_o the_o spirit_n shake_v they_o appall_v either_o for_o some_o cause_n very_o well_o know_v to_o we_o as_o certain_a or_o for_o something_o unknowen_a to_o we_o and_o uncertain_a to_o they_o which_o be_v trouble_v with_o such_o blind_a grief_n whereof_o they_o can_v see_v no_o reason_n as_o often_o it_o happen_v to_o god_n child_n who_o either_o never_o know_v god_n or_o have_v but_o a_o general_a knowledge_n of_o he_o i_o never_o have_v the_o physician_n counsel_v sever_v nor_o the_o minister_n labour_v neglect_v because_o the_o soul_n and_o body_n dwell_v together_o it_o be_v convenient_a that_o as_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v cure_v by_o the_o word_n by_o prayer_n and_o by_o fast_v by_o threaten_v or_o by_o comfort_v so_o the_o body_n also_o shall_v be_v bring_v into_o some_o temperature_n by_o physic_n by_o purge_v by_o diet_n by_o restore_v by_o music_n and_o by_o such_o like_a mean_n provyde_v always_o that_o it_o be_v still_o do_v so_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o wisdom_n of_o his_o spirit_n as_o we_o think_v not_o by_o these_o ordinary_a mean_n to_o smother_v or_o smoke_n out_o our_o trouble_n but_o as_o purpose_v to_o use_v they_o as_o preparative_n whereby_o both_o our_o soul_n and_o body_n may_v be_v make_v more_o capable_a of_o the_o spiritual_a mean_n to_o follow_v after_o as_o we_o require_v these_o thing_n to_o be_v the_o matter_n of_o our_o ministry_n in_o such_o a_o for_o when_o the_o trouble_a patient_n shall_v be_v persuade_v of_o our_o knowledge_n and_o discretion_n and_o therewithal_o shall_v perceive_v we_o to_o come_v in_o tender_a and_o love_a affection_n i_o think_v a_o entrance_n be_v in_o a_o manner_n make_v and_o all_o prejudice_n be_v take_v away_o so_o as_o we_o may_v the_o more_o free_o work_v upon_o the_o greeved_a conscience_n first_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o sight_n of_o sin_n as_o to_o some_o cause_n of_o their_o trouble_n herein_o we_o must_v labour_v to_o put_v away_o all_o confusion_n and_o blindness_n of_o sorrow_n endevor_v by_o
