sufficient_a by_o nature_n if_o they_o will_v improve_v it_o to_o preserve_v they_o o_o how_o apt_a be_v we_o to_o refer_v somewhat_o of_o good_a to_o the_o generality_n of_o mankind_n whereas_o in_o truth_n not_o only_o the_o generality_n have_v not_o antidote_n to_o keep_v they_o but_o the_o contrary_n be_v most_o true_a no_o man_n whatsoever_o unconvert_v have_v any_o antidote_n to_o keep_v himself_o from_o the_o poison_n of_o any_o error_n ever_o broach_v i_o must_v encounter_v another_o plunder_n i_o see_v and_o pick_v out_o the_o meaning_n who_o can_v wonder_v at_o the_o general_a that_o therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o sin_v that_o grace_n may_v abound_v a_o old_a objection_n of_o satan_n answer_v by_o the_o apostle_n and_o dr._n crisp_n in_o his_o sermon_n 8._o christian_n liberty_n no_o licentious_a doctrine_n god_n have_v no_o more_o to_o lay_v to_o the_o charge_n of_o the_o wicked_a man_n if_o he_o be_v elect_v than_o he_o have_v to_o lay_v to_o the_o charge_n of_o regard_n to_o it_o in_o the_o matter_n of_o justify_v but_o god_n be_v just_a in_o justify_v a_o believer_n because_o the_o believer_n have_v a_o perfect_a complete_a righteousness_n of_o christ_n and_o he_o give_v the_o stab_a answer_n it_o be_v exclude_v god_n have_v not_o lest_o the_o least_o crevice_n for_o it_o to_o enter_v by_o it_o be_v whole_o exclude_v it_o be_v shut_v out_o from_o ever_o have_v any_o thing_n to_o do_v in_o our_o salvation_n yet_o may_v one_o say_v it_o be_v shut_v out_o by_o the_o law_n of_o work_n the_o old_a moral_a law_n do_v and_o live_v we_o grant_v that_o but_o there_o be_v a_o gospel_n holiness_n will_v let_v in_o boast_v again_o i_o must_v repent_v believe_v be_v sincere_o holy_a and_o persevere_v therein_o all_o my_o day_n and_o god_n have_v regard_n to_o this_o in_o my_o justification_n no_o no_o it_o
they_o will_v bring_v it_o to_o at_o last_o or_o they_o say_v nothing_o obstruct_v the_o great_a design_n of_o redemption_n a_o virulent_a charge_n but_o unless_o obstruct_v man_n righteousness_n jesus_n to_o good_a work_n and_o charge_v the_o dr._n to_o obstruct_v that_o design_n what_o can_v be_v more_o contrary_a than_o that_o in_o the_o doctor_n sermon_n when_o he_o say_v fol._n 556._o the_o belief_n of_o this_o that_o free_a grace_n abound_v do_v certain_o and_o effectual_o teach_v and_o produce_v a_o hatred_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o love_n of_o holiness_n and_o in_o fol._n 557._o christ_n as_o he_o who_o do_v profess_v the_o gospel_n and_o yet_o live_v wicked_o and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o such_o here_o let_v i_o tell_v they_o their_o faith_n be_v no_o better_a than_o the_o faith_n of_o devil_n for_o they_o believe_v and_o tremble_v and_o that_o christ_n will_v have_v a_o heavy_a reckon_n and_o account_v for_o such_o when_o they_o come_v to_o judgement_n than_o for_o any_o person_n under_o heaven_n beside_o now_o can_v mr._n williams_n in_o cold_a blood_n say_v this_o doctrine_n obstruct_v the_o design_n of_o redemption_n that_o this_o oppose_v the_o scope_n of_o the_o gospel_n next_o he_o apoligize_v for_o the_o doctor_n that_o he_o have_v not_o entertain_v these_o opinion_n if_o he_o have_v consider_v that_o god_n elect_v decree_n be_v no_o legal_a grant_n nor_o a_o formal_a promise_n to_o we_o i_o suppose_v it_o may_v be_v gather_v that_o the_o doctor_n consider_v god_n elect_a decree_n as_o much_o as_o his_o opposer_n when_o the_o dr._n lay_v all_o the_o stress_n of_o man_n happiness_n upon_o the_o absoluteness_n and_o irreversibleness_n of_o it_o and_o if_o other_o have_v as_o great_a a_o honour_n for_o the_o veracity_n and_o steadfastness_n of_o those_o mountain_n of_o brass_n they_o will_v not_o make_v man_n salvation_n that_o be_v elect_v so_o uncertain_a a_o thing_n as_o many_o do_v as_o for_o the_o decree_n not_o be_v a_o legal_a grant_n mr._n williams_n have_v erect_v a_o new_a term_n of_o art_n what_o he_o mean_v i_o know_v not_o but_o if_o he_o mean_v it_o be_v a_o grant_n not_o good_a in_o law_n or_o that_o it_o be_v such_o a_o grant_n as_o no_o man_n can_v plead_v at_o the_o bar_n of_o god_n either_o in_o our_o own_o conscience_n or_o at_o the_o great_a day_n of_o judgement_n to_o say_v lord_z thou_o have_v most_o free_o yea_o more_o than_o mr._n williams_n say_v for_o the_o decree_n not_o only_o include_v the_o mean_n and_o the_o end_n but_o the_o mean_n be_v as_o well_o of_o the_o essence_n of_o the_o
