the_o world_n they_o be_v satisfy_v and_o content_v with_o they_o and_o little_a or_o never_o seek_v after_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n that_o be_v a_o five_o sort_n that_o be_v charge_v this_o day_n before_o the_o lord_n that_o do_v but_o dally_v with_o god_n about_o seek_v pardon_n for_o their_o sin_n six_o they_o that_o be_v quiet_a upon_o weak_a and_o slight_a evidence_n dishonour_n they_o lay_v the_o weight_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n upon_o be_v such_o break_a reed_n that_o it_o will_v make_v a_o man_n amaze_v that_o understand_v what_o the_o worth_n of_o a_o poor_a soul_n be_v that_o they_o shall_v venture_v so_o great_a a_o thing_n on_o so_o slight_a a_o reed_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n because_o they_o have_v but_o slight_a thought_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n that_o that_o a_o man_n put_v a_o high_a valuation_n of_o he_o will_v make_v sure_a but_o that_o which_o he_o slight_v he_o be_v not_o so_o intense_a in_o as_o to_o instance_n if_o one_o give_v you_o in_o payment_n silver_n gold_n and_o farthing_n you_o take_v the_o farthing_n and_o do_v not_o tell_v they_o but_o you_o tell_v the_o silver_n and_o the_o gold_n you_o not_o only_o tell_v it_o but_o weigh_v it_o too_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n because_o you_o little_a esteem_n of_o the_o brass_n and_o so_o will_v not_o tell_v it_o you_o more_o esteem_v the_o silver_n and_o therefore_o tell_v that_o but_o the_o gold_n you_o not_o only_o tell_v but_o weigh_v it_o because_o you_o have_v a_o great_a esteem_n of_o that_o than_o the_o other_o this_o be_v a_o argument_n may_v convince_v the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n that_o their_o esteem_n of_o earthly_a thing_n be_v more_o than_o of_o heaven_n and_o their_o soul_n because_o they_o labour_v to_o make_v earthly_a thing_n more_o sure_a than_o the_o thing_n of_o heaven_n a_o worldly_a man_n to_o make_v sure_a his_o estate_n will_v have_v bond_n upon_o bond_n and_o seal_v upon_o seal_n and_o carry_v his_o evidence_n to_o counsellor_n and_o say_v i_o beseech_v you_o sir_n see_v whether_o there_o be_v not_o some_o flaw_n in_o they_o i_o shall_v lose_v all_o my_o money_n if_o there_o be_v but_o a_o crack_n in_o my_o evidence_n he_o be_v mighty_a careful_a of_o this_o because_o he_o have_v such_o a_o high_a esteem_n of_o his_o worldly_a concern_v but_o how_o do_v it_o appear_v that_o man_n have_v but_o poor_a low_a thought_n about_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n because_o they_o content_v themselves_o with_o such_o poor_a mean_a evidence_n for_o have_v they_o a_o high_a esteem_n of_o it_o they_o will_v labour_v to_o make_v pardon_n of_o sin_n sure_a than_o any_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n to_o wind_v up_o all_o those_o that_o know_v what_o pardon_n of_o sin_n be_v how_o do_v they_o spend_v their_o time_n and_o lay_v out_o themselves_o to_o get_v assurance_n take_v this_o one_o note_n because_o god_n see_v those_o that_o be_v his_o own_o people_n understand_v what_o forgiveness_n understand_v it_o by_o a_o powerful_a work_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n they_o that_o know_v it_o thus_o this_o knowledge_n will_v make_v they_o more_o careful_a and_o conscionable_a to_o keep_v god_n commandment_n and_o if_o any_o man_n say_v he_o know_v it_o thus_o and_o do_v not_o keep_v god_n commandment_n he_o be_v a_o liar_n and_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o in_o he_o further_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v reason_v thus_o well_o if_o there_o be_v such_o a_o mystery_n in_o pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o that_o god_n when_o he_o pardon_v sin_n at_o first_o lay_v in_o a_o pardon_n for_o all_o sin_n afterward_o this_o will_v make_v way_n for_o more_o sin_n take_v notice_n here_o of_o the_o infinite_a perverseness_n of_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n suppose_v it_o be_v not_o thus_o but_o the_o contrary_n be_v true_a that_o god_n indeed_o pardon_v the_o sin_n of_o a_o believer_n come_v to_o he_o but_o if_o ever_o he_o sin_n after_o pardon_n let_v he_o look_v to_o it_o he_o shall_v then_o be_v under_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n and_o condemnation_n upon_o this_o a_o man_n heart_n will_v not_o be_v more_o engage_v to_o seek_v after_o christ_n but_o will_v reason_v thus_o well_o i_o may_v labour_v and_o take_v pain_n and_o suffer_v much_o to_o get_v a_o comfortable_a assurance_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n but_o what_o of_o all_o this_o the_o next_o day_n the_o next_o hour_n i_o may_v sin_v again_o and_o be_v in_o the_o same_o case_n i_o be_v before_o so_o that_o which_o way_n soever_o thing_n go_v man_n will_v reason_v against_o god_n for_o their_o lust_n i_o shall_v put_v it_o to_o you_o or_o to_o any_o heart_n that_o may_v be_v suppose_v to_o have_v attend_v on_o god_n yea_o and_o have_v receive_v grace_n which_o of_o these_o doctrine_n engage_v the_o heart_n most_o for_o god_n either_o this_o doctrine_n or_o the_o other_o whether_o that_o you_o believe_v that_o god_n will_v pardon_v sin_n yet_o if_o you_o fall_v into_o any_o new_a sin_n you_o be_v under_o till_o a_o malefactor_n heart_n be_v change_v and_o he_o become_v a_o loyal_a subject_n and_o then_o pardon_v he_o god_n be_v not_o so_o in_o justify_v soul_n he_o justify_v the_o ungodly_a one_o that_o be_v ungodly_a come_n to_o he_o he_o justify_v this_o be_v a_o mighty_a argument_n i_o name_v it_o for_o this_o end_n because_o i_o will_v teach_v people_n that_o notwithstanding_o any_o sin_n or_o guilt_n that_o lie_v upon_o their_o spirit_n yet_o they_o have_v a_o liberty_n to_o come_v in_o and_o lie_v hold_v upon_o christ_n for_o justification_n do_v not_o say_v i_o be_o ungodly_a i_o be_o a_o great_a sinner_n and_o have_v a_o vile_a heart_n and_o i_o find_v not_o my_o nature_n change_v and_o therefore_o how_o dare_v i_o lie_v hold_v upon_o god_n grace_n for_o mercy_n and_o comfort_n or_o help_v yet_o it_o be_v better_a venture_n that_o way_n than_o the_o other_o thou_o know_v not_o what_o thou_o may_v meet_v with_o may_v be_v thou_o think_v it_o humility_n to_o sit_v down_o in_o this_o way_n but_o know_v that_o most_o desperate_a pride_n may_v be_v under_o it_o and_o stand_v with_o such_o discouragement_n we_o know_v the_o most_o proud_a spirit_n may_v be_v the_o most_o discourage_v spirit_n as_o the_o devil_n the_o scripture_n set_v he_o forth_o to_o be_v as_o proud_a as_o lucifer_n yet_o none_o so_o proud_a as_o spirit_n under_o such_o discouragement_n there_o may_v be_v much_o pride_n in_o discouragement_n therefore_o take_v heed_n lest_o there_o be_v any_o secret_a please_a of_o yourselves_o this_o way_n though_o you_o be_v in_o some_o trouble_n yet_o if_o you_o feel_v there_o be_v a_o secret_a pleasure_n in_o that_o smart_n that_o fall_v upon_o you_o and_o some_o kind_n of_o contentedness_n in_o go_v your_o own_o way_n as_o many_o man_n end_n be_v it_o for_o we_o to_o study_v and_o pray_v to_o god_n for_o light_n and_o help_v to_o open_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n if_o a_o little_a discouragement_n of_o heart_n and_o sulleness_n of_o spirit_n shall_v turn_v all_o aside_o and_o make_v all_o that_o we_o say_v to_o be_v of_o none_o eff_a therefore_o great_a reason_n there_o be_v that_o we_o shall_v tell_v you_o this_o be_v a_o your_o fear_n of_o presume_v into_o fear_n of_o dishonour_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n i_o will_v have_v you_o be_v as_o fearful_a that_o god_n grace_n shall_v be_v dishonour_v by_o unbelief_n as_o now_o you_o be_v fearful_a lest_o you_o shall_v presume_v upon_o god_n grace_n those_o that_o be_v secure_a they_o fear_v not_o lest_o they_o shall_v presume_v but_o those_o who_o conscience_n be_v the_o set_v out_o of_o his_o glory_n in_o his_o pardon_v mercy_n in_o christ_n and_o therefore_o this_o may_v be_v a_o great_a encouragement_n 3._o god_n be_v more_o delight_v in_o the_o work_n of_o thy_o heart_n close_v with_o free_a grace_n than_o in_o all_o the_o legal_a work_n of_o humiliation_n what_o say_v christ_n this_o be_v the_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o david_n be_v call_v a_o man_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n why_o because_o he_o be_v a_o man_n that_o will_v do_v his_o will_n so_o that_o this_o be_v a_o great_a encouragement_n though_o many_o abuse_v this_o and_o pervert_v it_o to_o their_o own_o destruction_n yet_o god_n will_v have_v it_o teach_v that_o thou_o may_v have_v the_o comfort_n of_o it_o and_o therefore_o thou_o shall_v close_v with_o god_n and_o come_v in_o and_o take_v hold_v of_o his_o pardon_v mercy_n nine_o though_o god_n have_v take_v such_o a_o way_n in_o mercy_n to_o pardon_v sin_n yet_o he_o lose_v nothing_o in_o his_o justice_n christ_n have_v take_v such_o order_n that_o his_o glory_n shall_v no_o way_n be_v diminish_v his_o justice_n shall_v be_v satisfy_v and_o therefore_o thou_o need_v not_o say_v thus_o i_o have_v so_o sin_v
