so_o no_o man_n be_v partaker_n of_o the_o virtue_n that_o be_v in_o the_o word_n unless_o he_o endeavour_v to_o express_v it_o in_o his_o life_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o be_v say_v before_o out_o of_o john_n i_o will_v give_v thou_o a_o white_a stone_n and_o in_o the_o stone_n a_o new_a name_n write_v which_o no_o man_n know_v but_o he_o that_o have_v lord_n he_o which_o clear_v to_o the_o lord_n it_o this_o be_v that_o i_o say_v even_o a_o testimony_n of_o the_o hide_a spirit_n which_o he_o give_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n rom._n 8._o and_o in_o like_a manner_n the_o spirit_n the_o world_n so_o that_o he_o that_o have_v once_o taste_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n to_o he_o the_o whole_a world_n with_o all_o the_o pleasure_n they_o will_v seem_v death_n the_o tree_n of_o death_n to_o he_o as_o mere_a gall_n and_o bitterness_n now_o see_v we_o know_v our_o first_o progenitor_n be_v beguile_v with_o the_o world_n and_o by_o eat_v of_o the_o forbid_a tree_n have_v acquire_v death_n yet_o we_o be_v so_o blind_a and_o mad_a as_o feed_v with_o eternal_a death_n of_o carnal_a pleasure_n so_o dear_o buy_v we_o may_v remember_v if_o any_o shall_v eat_v of_o i_o say_v condition_n do_v prefer_v the_o world_n before_o god_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n most_o manifest_a world_n the_o son_n of_o the_o world_n thereupon_o we_o see_v many_o doctor_n do_v study_v day_n and_o night_n to_o attain_v to_o honour_v in_o the_o world_n who_o hardly_o or_o not_o at_o all_o will_v take_v so_o much_o leisure_n as_o suffice_v to_o say_v the_o lord_n prayer_n if_o they_o may_v attain_v eternal_a honour_n and_o dignity_n celestial_a with_o so_o little_a labour_n therefore_o you_o see_v the_o same_o man_n to_o avoid_v no_o labour_n in_o warfare_n to_o attain_v to_o fame_n and_o honour_n and_o yet_o will_v not_o enter_v combat_n with_o their_o own_o vice_n although_o they_o may_v attain_v heavenly_a nobility_n thereby_o therefore_o you_o shall_v likewise_o see_v that_o the_o lord_n and_o victor_n of_o many_o nation_n and_o vast_a kingdom_n do_v not_o care_n for_o overcome_v themselves_o last_o that_o infinite_a many_o do_v not_o regard_v the_o loss_n of_o their_o every_o one_o from_o darkness_n true_a light_n &_o true_a darkness_n god_n and_o his_o love_n mercy_n justice_n and_o virtue_n turn_v himself_o when_o it_o be_v evident_a he_o pass_v from_o light_n to_o darkness_n see_v without_o god_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o darkness_n for_o if_o he_o be_v light_a it_o follow_v contrariwise_o that_o the_o devil_n be_v darkness_n itself_o if_o he_o be_v charity_n the_o devil_n be_v nothing_o but_o wrath_n envy_n hatred_n sin_n and_o torment_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o to_o which_o whosoever_o join_v himself_o he_o be_v change_v to_o darkness_n and_o the_o devil_n from_o which_o he_o be_v not_o deliver_v before_o he_o shall_v convert_v himself_o from_o darkness_n to_o light_n from_o sin_n to_o righteousness_n and_o last_o from_o the_o devil_n to_o god_n that_o which_o be_v the_o work_n of_o faith_n alone_o by_o which_o our_o heart_n be_v purify_v act_v 15._o for_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o christ_n he_o repent_v daily_o and_o convert_v himself_o from_o sin_n that_o be_v from_o the_o devil_n to_o christ_n for_o as_o adam_n by_o sin_n convert_v himself_o from_o god_n to_o the_o devil_n so_o it_o behove_v every_o one_o of_o we_o to_o fly_v by_o true_a repentance_n and_o remission_n of_o sin_n from_o the_o devil_n to_o god_n whereupon_o it_o follow_v that_o man_n without_o return_v and_o conversion_n to_o god_n can_v be_v unrighteousness_n but_o the_o light_n be_v the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o christ_n which_o can_v no_o way_n enter_v into_o fellowship_n so_o that_o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o those_o shall_v be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n and_o light_n of_o eternal_a â—ruth_n who_o live_v in_o the_o darkness_n of_o unrighteousness_n to_o which_o appertain_v the_o say_n of_o paul_n concern_v the_o jew_n light_n and_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n for_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n consist_v in_o that_o he_o understand_v god_n to_o be_v mere_a christ_n the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o christ_n grace_n and_o charity_n which_o who_o have_v not_o and_o exercise_v this_o man_n know_v it_o with_o the_o most_o ignorant_a so_o all_o knowledge_n consist_v &_o arise_v out_o of_o the_o understanding_n experience_n and_o work_n of_o truth_n and_o so_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o he_o which_o do_v not_o exercise_v charity_n howsoever_o he_o make_v many_o word_n of_o it_o yet_o he_o perceive_v not_o the_o perfect_a nature_n of_o it_o in_o like_a manner_n christ_n be_v mere_a love_n humility_z meekness_n patience_n and_o virtue_n the_o which_o who_o have_v not_o be_v ignorant_a of_o christ_n although_o he_o can_v prattle_v many_o thing_n of_o he_o and_o usurp_v his_o name_n after_o the_o same_o manner_n the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v nothing_o but_o spirit_n whereupon_o they_o which_o live_v not_o in_o the_o spirit_n these_o consequent_o do_v not_o know_v what_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v although_o they_o fable_n and_o dispute_v of_o it_o every_o where_n therefore_o it_o belong_v not_o to_o he_o to_o judge_v of_o love_n who_o never_o exercise_v it_o for_o all_o knowledge_n as_o we_o say_v even_o now_o begin_v with_o feeling_n &_o experience_n in_o a_o glass_n our_o own_o proper_a defect_n and_o bring_v to_o our_o memory_n the_o most_o infirm_a condition_n of_o our_o humanity_n whereupon_o it_o follow_v that_o we_o be_v to_o bear_v the_o infirmity_n of_o our_o neighbour_n with_o patience_n humility_n and_o meekness_n true_o such_o as_o sin_v through_o want_n of_o strength_n weak_a we_o be_v to_o bear_v with_o the_o weak_a more_o than_o of_o purpose_n and_o whereof_o they_o soon_o recollect_v themselves_o do_v rebuke_n and_o punish_v themselves_o and_o do_v of_o themselves_o acknowledge_v their_o sin_n these_o true_o be_v to_o be_v pity_v and_o condole_v and_o do_v deserve_v pardon_n he_o that_o deni_v this_o sure_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n for_o to_o punish_v the_o fall_n and_o infirmity_n of_o our_o
