he_o and_o that_o he_o be_v my_o own_o flesh_n in_o respect_n of_o our_o first_o parent_n do_v the_o law_n of_o god_n prescribe_v the_o perfect_a rule_n of_o righteousness_n yea_o for_o there_o be_v no_o good_a thing_n in_o deed_n word_n or_o thought_n but_o it_o be_v here_o command_v &_o likewise_o no_o evil_a but_o heerâ—it_n be_v forbid_v can_v every_o one_o keep_v the_o law_n perfect_o they_o that_o be_v not_o bear_v again_o of_o god_n can_v keep_v it_o at_o all_o in_o any_o point_n as_o please_v god_n thereby_o in_o respect_n of_o themselves_o for_o except_o he_o be_v bear_v again_o of_o god_n he_o can_v see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n nor_o enter_v therein_o much_o less_o keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n moreover_o all_o man_n by_o nature_n be_v bear_v and_o conceive_v in_o righteousness_n none_o at_o all_o for_o 1_o god_n will_v not_o punish_v that_o in_o another_o creature_n which_o be_v due_a to_o be_v pay_v by_o man._n 2_o none_o that_o be_v only_o a_o creature_n can_v abide_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n against_o sin_n and_o deliver_v other_o from_o the_o same_o what_o manner_n of_o man_n be_v to_o be_v seek_v out_o to_o be_v our_o mediator_n and_o deliverer_n he_o which_o be_v indeed_o a_o very_a right_a man_n and_o perfect_o righteous_a &_o more_o mighty_a than_o all_o creature_n beside_o that_o be_v he_o which_o also_o be_v god._n why_o must_v he_o be_v also_o have_v a_o true_a faith_n which_o be_v a_o true_a persuasion_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n merit_v by_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n how_o shall_v we_o attain_v to_o this_o true_a faith_n by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n give_v we_o the_o true_a understanding_n and_o persuasion_n of_o the_o gopell_n where_o be_v the_o gospel_n declare_v unto_o us._n it_o be_v general_o declare_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n but_o the_o church_n of_o god_n have_v gather_v out_o of_o they_o a_o certain_a sum_n thereof_o which_o be_v the_o article_n of_o our_o christian_a faith_n common_o call_v the_o creed_n rehearse_v those_o article_n belief_n i_o believe_v in_o god_n the_o father_n almighty_a etc_n etc_n how_o many_o part_n be_v there_o in_o these_o article_n there_o be_v two_o 1_o touch_v our_o faith_n in_o god._n 2_o of_o our_o faith_n concern_v the_o church_n what_o believe_v you_o in_o the_o first_o part_n i_o declare_v that_o i_o believe_v in_o god_n the_o father_n the_o son_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n why_o say_v you_o i_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o not_o in_o god_n for_o that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o only_a true_a god_n upon_o who_o my_o faith_n be_v whole_o stay_v if_o there_o be_v but_o one_o god_n why_o name_v you_o three_o the_o father_n the_o son_n &_o the_o holy_a ghost_n because_o god_n have_v so_o open_v himself_o in_o his_o word_n that_o these_o three_o sundry_a person_n be_v but_o one_o true_a &_o everlasting_a god._n why_o say_v you_o i_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o not_o rather_o that_o there_o be_v a_o god._n by_o say_v i_o believe_v in_o god_n i_o declare_v that_o i_o put_v my_o whole_a trust_n &_o assurance_n in_o god_n whereas_o the_o devil_n &_o wicked_a man_n believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n yet_o can_v put_v their_o whole_a trust_n &_o confidence_n in_o he_o why_o say_v you_o i_o believe_v &_o not_o we_o believe_v because_o i_o must_v be_v save_v by_o my_o own_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o the_o faith_n of_o another_o why_o call_v you_o god_n father_n because_o he_o be_v the_o creator_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n &_o so_o the_o father_n of_o all_o creature_n why_o say_v you_o creator_n and_o not_o maker_n of_o heaven_n etc_n etc_n because_o he_o create_v all_o thing_n of_o nothing_o but_o to_o make_v be_v to_o make_v something_o of_o that_o which_o be_v before_o why_o call_v you_o he_o almighty_a because_o as_o he_o create_v all_o thing_n of_o nothing_o so_o he_o do_v preserve_v &_o guide_v they_o by_o his_o mighty_a power_n wisdom_n justice_n &_o mercy_n what_o comfort_n hence_o do_v we_o receive_v 1_o that_o all_o the_o good_a angel_n of_o god_n shall_v watch_v over_o i_o &_o pitch_v their_o tent_n about_o i_o 2_o that_o neither_o the_o devil_n nor_o man_n shall_v have_v all_o the_o corruption_n in_o the_o substance_n of_o doctrine_n prayer_n sacrament_n and_o discipline_n of_o the_o church_n what_o occasion_n of_o evil_n be_v forbid_v there_o be_v some_o which_o we_o must_v necessary_o avoid_v unless_o we_o will_v fall_v into_o superstition_n and_o idolatry_n as_o 1_o to_o join_v the_o false_a part_n of_o worship_n with_o the_o true_a worship_n of_o god._n 2_o to_o be_v present_a at_o idolatry_n and_o superstitious_a service_n 3_o the_o reservation_n of_o some_o especial_a monument_n of_o superstition_n and_o idolatry_n which_o be_v the_o lesser_a occasion_n forbid_v and_o yet_o so_o that_o we_o have_v the_o especial_a ground_n of_o god_n worship_n which_o must_v and_o may_v tolerate_v when_o we_o can_v help_v they_o 1_o all_o vain_a idle_a and_o superstitious_a ceremony_n 2_o all_o keep_a company_n with_o false_a worshipper_n be_v not_o the_o evil_a in_o heart_n also_o forbid_v yes_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o i_o trust_v in_o my_o heart_n to_o have_v any_o of_o they_o prevail_v or_o be_v establish_v what_o good_a be_v command_v 1_o general_o all_o the_o outward_a mean_n of_o god_n his_o worship_n which_o be_v agreeable_a to_o his_o write_a word_n 2_o special_o doctrine_n prayer_n sacrament_n and_o discipline_n of_o the_o church_n as_o agree_v with_o god_n word_n in_o the_o substance_n thereof_o what_o occasion_n of_o good_a be_v command_v 1_o to_o have_v and_o use_v good_a book_n of_o the_o doctrine_n and_o history_n of_o the_o church_n write_v according_a to_o god_n word_n 2_o erect_v &_o maintain_v of_o school_n of_o use_v the_o mean_n of_o god_n worship_v not_o only_o outward_o but_o also_o in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n what_o mean_v these_o word_n for_o i_o the_o lord_n thy_o god_n be_o a_o jealous_a god_n etc_n etc_n that_o god_n will_v punish_v false_a worship_n in_o the_o false_a worshipper_n and_o unto_o the_o three_o and_o four_o generation_n in_o their_o posterity_n what_o be_v mean_v by_o that_o and_o will_v show_v mercy_n unto_o thousand_o etc_n etc_n that_o god_n will_v bless_v his_o true_a worship_n in_o the_o true_a worshipper_n and_o their_o posterity_n into_o the_o four_o descent_n what_o be_v the_o use_n of_o these_o to_o make_v false_a worship_n more_o vile_a and_o his_o true_a worship_n more_o precious_a in_o our_o eye_n rehearse_v the_o three_o commandment_n thou_o shall_v not_o take_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n thy_o 3._o god_n in_o vain_a etc_n etc_n what_o be_v here_o forbid_a 1_o all_o perjury_n or_o false_a swear_n ban_a or_o curse_v enchant_a or_o conjure_v 2_o all_o swear_n by_o false_a god_n or_o name_v they_o with_o reverence_n 3_o all_o customable_a speak_n of_o god_n or_o swear_v without_o reverence_n 4_o cause_v god_n name_v to_o be_v dishonour_v by_o false_a doctrine_n or_o a_o ungodly_a life_n in_o myself_o or_o other_o what_o good_a be_v command_v 1_o in_o matter_n concern_v god_n glory_n i_o must_v swear_v by_o god_n only_o in_o justice_n judgement_n and_o truth_n 2_o i_o must_v endeavour_v from_o my_o heart_n to_o grow_v up_o in_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o a_o godly_a life_n that_o god_n may_v be_v glorify_v therein_o what_o mean_v those_o word_n for_o the_o lord_n will_v not_o hold_v he_o guiltless_a that_o take_v etc_n etc_n that_o god_n will_v certain_o punish_v the_o dishonour_n of_o his_o name_n in_o any_o ourselves_o and_o partly_o concern_v other_o what_o persuasion_n must_v we_o have_v touch_v ourselves_o we_o must_v be_v true_o humble_v and_o withal_o have_v a_o certain_a confidence_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v hard_a how_o shall_v we_o be_v true_o humble_v 1_o with_o a_o persuasion_n of_o our_o sinful_a misery_n and_o unworthiness_n to_o be_v help_v 2_o with_o a_o most_o certain_a persuasion_n of_o the_o most_o glorious_a majesty_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n that_o must_v help_v us._n how_o shall_v we_o be_v assure_v that_o we_o shall_v be_v hear_v 1_o by_o be_v persuade_v that_o god_n love_v we_o as_o his_o own_o child_n in_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ._n 2_o by_o faith_n be_v persuade_v that_o god_n our_o father_n be_v able_a to_o do_v whatsoever_o he_o will_v in_o heaven_n and_o earth_n what_o must_v we_o be_v persuade_v concern_v other_o 1_o that_o all_o god_n people_n pray_v for_o us._n 2_o we_o must_v be_v persuade_v that_o it_o be_v our_o bound_a duty_n to_o pray_v for_o
