a_o piece_n of_o paint_n a_o artificial_a invention_n even_o so_o in_o like_a manner_n by_o the_o improvement_n of_o a_o man_n natural_a part_n common_a grace_n light_n and_o knowledge_n he_o may_v appear_v in_o the_o view_n and_o sight_n of_o man_n as_o a_o true_a child_n of_o god_n and_o may_v talk_v and_o discourse_n like_o a_o saint_n read_v and_o hear_v god_n word_n nay_o and_o pray_v also_o with_o much_o seem_a devotion_n and_o piety_n and_o may_v likewise_o bridle_v many_o unruly_a lust_n and_o gross_a enormity_n of_o life_n and_o give_v alm_n to_o the_o poor_a insomuch_o that_o willing_a to_o forgo_v but_o these_o believe_v not_o on_o christ_n because_o of_o that_o love_n which_o they_o have_v to_o their_o own_o seem_a righteousness_n which_o in_o point_n of_o trust_n
hope_v and_o dependence_n they_o also_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o forgo_v these_o man_n place_v that_o hope_n on_o their_o own_o work_n and_o righteousness_n which_o true_a christian_n place_n on_o christ_n and_o so_o unbelief_n in_o they_o throw_v christ_n quite_o away_o they_o have_v no_o need_n of_o he_o 1._o what_o be_v unbelief_n but_o a_o actual_a or_o virtual_a denial_n of_o the_o truth_n god_n in_o a_o word_n it_o be_v asleep_o deny_v of_o christ_n and_o a_o disesteem_v the_o price_n of_o his_o blood_n as_o it_o also_o reflect_v on_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o fix_v on_o this_o way_n to_o save_v sinner_n it_o be_v a_o invaluate_a the_o excellency_n of_o christ_n person_n blood_n and_o merit_n as_o faith_n count_v all_o thing_n dung_n in_o comparison_n of_o christ_n so_o unbelief_n account_v the_o person_n office_n and_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n 10._o but_o as_o dung_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o excellency_n of_o self-righteousness_n self-wisdom_n selfsufficiency_n etc._n etc._n these_o man_n be_v the_o worst_a neglecter_n of_o the_o great_a salvation_n they_o do_v not_o only_o neglect_v it_o but_o slight_a and_o contemn_v it_o there_o be_v in_o their_o thought_n not_o any_o need_n to_o look_v for_o salvation_n this_o way_n they_o that_o sin_n against_o the_o law_n fly_v to_o the_o gospel_n but_o these_o sin_n against_o the_o cure_n hold_v forth_o and_o extend_v in_o the_o gospel_n whither_o must_v these_o fly_v since_o there_o remain_v no_o more_o sacrifice_n for_o sin_n if_o this_o be_v slight_v no_o other_o way_n or_o mean_n be_v ordain_v for_o salvation_n such_o who_o refuse_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o depend_v on_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n how_o woeful_a be_v their_o condition_n and_o what_o hope_v a_o law_n often_o
