approve_v and_o give_v consent_n unto_o they_o for_o proof_n hereof_o let_v this_o be_v consider_v that_o unclean_a thought_n which_o have_v their_o residence_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n be_v of_o two_o sort_n inward_a and_o outward_a inward_a be_v such_o as_o have_v their_o original_n from_o the_o flesh_n and_o arise_v of_o the_o corruption_n of_o man_n nature_n though_o stir_v up_o by_o the_o they_o be_v suggest_v the_o truth_n hereof_o appear_v in_o christ_n example_n into_o who_o mind_n the_o devil_n cast_v this_o blasphemous_a tentation_n thereby_o move_v he_o to_o infidelity_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n be_v pardon_v if_o they_o be_v hearty_o and_o unfeigned_o repent_v of_o yea_o further_o that_o neither_o they_o nor_o any_o other_o sin_n except_o that_o against_o the_o he_o will_v do_v speak_v of_o the_o inward_a endeavour_n of_o his_o heart_n and_o again_o that_o he_o do_v the_o evil_n which_o he_o will_v not_o meaning_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o corruption_n of_o his_o nature_n now_o upon_o this_o that_o he_o endeavour_v to_o do_v that_o which_o be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n that_o he_o loathe_v and_o detest_a the_o contrary_a &_o strive_v against_o his_o corruption_n how_o do_v he_o comfort_v himself_o mark_v word_n follow_v v_o 20._o if_o i_o do_v that_o i_o will_v not_o that_o be_v to_o say_v if_o against_o my_o general_a purpose_n i_o sin_n against_o god_n if_o i_o be_v sorry_a for_o it_o if_o i_o be_v displease_v with_o myself_o in_o that_o i_o can_v obey_v god_n in_o that_o perfection_n i_o desire_v it_o be_v no_o more_o i_o grieve_v because_o he_o thereby_o offend_v god_n if_o he_o do_v abhor_v they_o and_o pray_v against_o they_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v condemn_v for_o they_o they_o shall_v never_o be_v lay_v to_o his_o charge_n the_o party_n then_o that_o be_v trouble_v with_o these_o thought_n may_v upon_o these_o ground_n stay_v his_o mind_n and_o comfort_v himself_o for_o if_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v condemn_v for_o they_o then_o let_v he_o not_o fear_v they_o above_o measure_n the_o three_o point_n to_o be_v remember_v be_v that_o the_o party_n must_v not_o be_v alone_o for_o this_o tentation_n begin_v and_o be_v confirm_v by_o solitariness_n and_o the_o party_n thus_o distress_v love_v to_o be_v apart_o by_o themselves_o from_o the_o society_n of_o other_o and_o for_o that_o cause_n in_o case_n they_o be_v liable_a to_o this_o distress_n they_o must_v use_v to_o solace_v themselves_o in_o good_a company_n that_o be_v mere_a and_o fit_a for_o they_o and_o their_o mind_n be_v to_o be_v exercise_v in_o holy_a meditation_n of_o the_o word_n and_o sing_v of_o psalm_n and_o they_o be_v to_o be_v occupy_v in_o good_a speech_n and_o conference_n our_o first_o parent_n eve_n be_v tempt_v by_o satan_n when_o she_o be_v apart_o from_o adam_n and_o our_o saviout_n christ_n when_o he_o be_v alone_o out_o of_o company_n and_o society_n than_o be_v he_o by_o the_o malice_n of_o the_o devil_n in_o the_o wilderness_n assault_v with_o strong_a and_o mighty_a tentation_n the_o four_o point_n to_o be_v remember_v of_o the_o party_n trouble_v be_v that_o he_o must_v as_o hearty_o and_o earnest_o repent_v he_o of_o those_o his_o evil_a thought_n as_o of_o evil_a word_n and_o deed_n for_o the_o truth_n be_v because_o man_n have_v no_o more_o care_n of_o their_o thought_n then_o common_o they_o have_v therefore_o the_o lord_n just_o suffer_v the_o devil_n to_o plague_v they_o and_o torment_v they_o by_o convey_n into_o their_o heart_n most_o vile_a and_o damnable_a be_v receive_v and_o why_o sure_o because_o god_n have_v the_o great_a stroke_n in_o these_o distress_n of_o mind_n and_o bring_v man_n through_o all_o the_o temptation_n that_o he_o have_v appoint_v before_o he_o open_v the_o heart_n to_o receive_v comfort_n the_o church_n in_o the_o canticle_n seek_v for_o she_o believe_v but_o before_o she_o can_v find_v he_o she_o go_v about_o in_o the_o city_n through_o the_o street_n and_o by_o open_a place_n pass_v by_o the_o watchman_n themselves_o and_o after_o she_o have_v use_v all_o mean_n without_o help_n or_o hope_n at_o length_n she_o find_v she_o belove_v he_o in_o who_o her_o soul_n delight_v 3_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o general_a remedy_n of_o all_o distress_n now_o i_o come_v to_o the_o particular_a distress_n themselves_o the_o first_o distress_n arise_v of_o a_o divine_a temptation_n which_o be_v a_o combat_n with_o god_n himself_o immediate_o and_o this_o distress_n be_v when_o the_o conscience_n speak_v some_o express_v and_o therein_o lie_v our_o comfort_n thus_o moses_n at_o the_o red_a sea_n be_v in_o great_a distress_n &_o not_o know_v what_o to_o say_v or_o do_v sigh_v and_o groan_v inward_o in_o his_o soul_n unto_o the_o lord_n for_o help_v and_o protection_n and_o his_o very_a desire_n be_v in_o stead_n of_o a_o 15._o loud_a cry_n in_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o second_o thing_n be_v that_o trial_n must_v be_v make_v whether_o the_o party_n have_v in_o he_o any_o token_n of_o grace_n or_o not_o these_o token_n be_v the_o small_a beginning_n of_o grace_n which_o before_o i_o have_v
