Saying to our selues to other that they be ours may do with them what we wyll so deceaue our owne selues bestow them about vayne vanitie Yea and somtyme aboute that whyche is wycked dampnable in the syght of God As to bestow them aboute harlottes cardes dyce tables bowles and soche lyke wycked abhominacyon for the which we do not onely offend the eternal God for so bestowynge of them but also greately prouoke him vnto wrath agaynste vs for so mysusynge and consumynge thee tyme that is spente about them also yf we bestow them about sumtuousnes in buildinges gorgiousnes in rayment also in delicious fare more then nede requyreth we do greatly offend therin And therfore for the loue of god consyder with your selues know for a suerty that all the ryches and goodes that anye mā receaueth at the hand of god they are but delyuered vnto you lente you for a while and ye made stewardes of them to bestowe them accordinge to the wyl of our heauenly father and not to our owne wyl except our wil be al together let to prefar and set forth gods wil for yf we bestow thē as is afore sayd we shal surely rendre a stray● accomptes for the vtmooste iote of theim And not onely for these temporall gyftes but also wee shall rendre a strayte accomptes for all the spiritual giftes that we haue receaued of god as wysdom● knowledge fayth healyng prophecyinge iudgementes of spirites c.
