grant_v that_o the_o command_n of_o administer_a and_o receive_v the_o lord_n supper_n be_v mediate_v with_o reference_n to_o the_o presbyterate_n of_o a_o church_n yet_o mr_n fullwood_n will_v gain_v little_a thereby_o if_o he_o understand_v as_o he_o must_v the_o command_n concern_v the_o presbyterate_n of_o a_o church_n to_o be_v not_o de_fw-mi eventu_fw-la but_o only_o de_fw-fr conatu_fw-la and_o if_o withal_o he_o put_v a_o difference_n between_o guilty_a and_o innocent_a person_n those_o who_o hinder_v or_o do_v not_o what_o lie_v in_o they_o to_o far_o the_o settle_n of_o a_o eldership_n and_o those_o who_o pray_v sigh_n and_o use_v all_o other_o lawful_a mean_n for_o the_o compass_v of_o it_o that_o the_o command_n to_o have_v a_o church_n presbyterate_v to_o have_v rule_v elder_n be_v to_o be_v take_v only_o de_fw-la conatu_fw-la concern_v a_o endeavour_n of_o it_o will_v not_o i_o think_v be_v deny_v by_o mr_n fullwood_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v not_o unreasonable_a to_o understand_v it_o de_fw-fr eventu_fw-la concern_v the_o event_n concern_v a_o actual_a presbyterate_n of_o the_o church_n for_o that_o may_v not_o be_v in_o our_o power_n to_o effect_v the_o whole_a church_n may_v be_v overpowred_n by_o the_o magistrate_n and_o the_o best_a affect_a party_n in_o a_o church_n may_v be_v over-borne_a by_o a_o major_a part_n that_o may_v be_v dis-affected_n unto_o presbytery_n now_o if_o it_o shall_v be_v grant_v unto_o mr_n fullwood_n that_o the_o command_n to_o receive_v the_o lord_n supper_n do_v not_o bind_v immediate_o but_o only_o mediate_o upon_o pre-supposal_n that_o we_o have_v do_v our_o endeavour_n and_o use_v all_o lawful_a mean_n for_o the_o erect_n of_o a_o eldership_n i_o do_v wonder_n what_o advantage_n such_o a_o concession_n can_v yield_v unto_o his_o cause_n but_o now_o if_o he_o shall_v contend_v that_o after_o we_o have_v use_v our_o utmost_a endeavour_n to_o erect_v a_o eldership_n and_o can_v possible_o prevail_v that_o we_o be_v then_o by_o that_o which_o be_v mere_o the_o fault_n of_o other_o dis-obliged_n from_o the_o receive_n the_o lord_n supper_n first_o i_o say_v that_o for_o this_o assertion_n mr_n fullwood_n can_v bring_v so_o much_o as_o any_o colourable_a argument_n then_o second_o it_o make_v the_o lord_n supper_n to_o have_v a_o essential_a dependence_n upon_o a_o eldership_n which_o i_o have_v before_o refute_v the_o second_o only_a thing_n that_o be_v considerable_a in_o mr_n fullwoods_n book_n be_v a_o objection_n which_o i_o shall_v give_v you_o in_o his_o own_o word_n and_o then_o return_v a_o brief_a answer_n unto_o it_o mr_n fullwood_n while_o we_o will_v use_v this_o sacrament_n in_o a_o church_n vn-presbyterated_n do_v we_o not_o thus_o direct_o oppose_v and_o violate_v that_o command_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n by_o the_o apostle_n 1_o cor._n 4._o ult_n let_v all_o thing_n be_v do_v in_o order_n we_o on_o both_o side_n acknowledge_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v the_o exercise_n and_o act_n of_o jurisdiction_n that_o there_o shall_v be_v rule_v elder_n elect_v and_o settle_v in_o our_o church_n for_o the_o same_o end_n for_o our_o more_o orderly_a proceed_n in_o this_o holy_a exercise_n but_o because_o we_o can_v have_v a_o eldership_n as_o and_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o will_v we_o will_v have_v the_o sacrament_n as_o and_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o can_v if_o we_o can_v have_v it_o with_o we_o will_v have_v it_o without_o our_o saviour_n or_o any_o order_n how_o keep_v we_o then_o the_o name_v precept_n do_v all_o thing_n and_o this_o sure_a among_o the_o rest_n do_v all_o thing_n in_o order_n first_o settle_v eldership_n then_o upon_o their_o preparative_n work_n by_o the_o act_n and_o exercise_n of_o their_o jurisdiction_n administer_v the_o sacrament_n according_a unto_o our_o saviour_n order_n answer_n these_o minister_n and_o people_n that_o have_v do_v their_o endeavour_n and_o use_v all_o lawful_a mean_n for_o the_o settle_n of_o a_o eldership_n do_v not_o at_o all_o violate_v the_o command_n of_o the_o spirit_n 1_o cor._n 14.40_o neither_o do_v that_o which_o you_o say_v prove_v it_o at_o all_o as_o will_v easy_o appear_v if_o you_o please_v to_o put_v your_o argument_n into_o form_n for_o than_o it_o stand_v thus_o if_o there_o shall_v be_v the_o exercise_n and_o act_n of_o jurisdiction_n if_o there_o shall_v be_v ruling-elders_a elect_a and_o settle_v in_o our_o church_n for_o our_o more_o orderly_a proceed_n in_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n then_o those_o that_o have_v use_v all_o lawful_a mean_n for_o the_o exercise_n of_o jurisdiction_n for_o the_o election_n and_o settle_v of_o ruling-elders_a and_o can_v prevail_v they_o direct_o oppose_v and_o violate_v that_o command_n of_o the_o spirit_n 1_o cor._n 14.40_o if_o they_o administer_v and_o receive_v the_o lord_n supper_n the_o consequent_a be_v most_o extreme_o false_a and_o be_v not_o back_v so_o much_o as_o by_o any_o colour_n or_o shadow_n of_o reason_n and_o indeed_o you_o can_v never_o make_v it_o good_a unless_o you_o can_v prove_v either_o that_o there_o be_v a_o essential_a dependency_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n upon_o the_o eldership_n or_o else_o that_o there_o be_v a_o command_n to_o delay_v and_o defer_v the_o administration_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n until_o a_o eldership_n be_v
