happen_v after_o bodily_a persecution_n have_v be_v before_o suffer_v by_o the_o saint_n and_o at_o the_o time_n in_o which_o there_o shall_v be_v some_o abatement_n of_o they_o to_o which_o abatement_n these_o very_a commotion_n themselves_o shall_v be_v some_o help_n instrumental_o yet_o even_o of_o these_o together_o the_o war_n and_o commotion_n by_o nation_n batter_v and_o clash_v against_o nation_n and_o the_o abound_a of_o more_o spiritual_a iniquity_n after_o some_o cessation_n of_o bodily_a persecution_n these_o together_o say_v he_o be_v the_o beginning_n of_o sorrow_n or_o calamity_n and_o misery_n the_o outward_a occasion_n of_o sorrow_n not_o of_o joy_n though_o go_v before_o as_o accomplishment_n of_o his_o word_n and_o so_o make_v way_n joy_n shall_v come_v in_o the_o morning_n of_o the_o appearance_n of_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a but_o the_o end_n he_o say_v be_v not_o by_o and_o by_o these_o be_v but_o the_o beginning_n of_o sorrow_n now_o when_o we_o read_v of_o such_o prediction_n and_o in_o such_o term_n and_o see_v the_o beginning_n of_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o they_o in_o our_o day_n yet_o we_o do_v not_o account_v ourselves_o or_o christian_a magistrate_n thereby_o oblige_v to_o put_v ourselves_o forward_o with_o desire_n to_o contend_v or_o ●ight_n with_o other_o or_o to_o provoke_v they_o to_o wrath_n or_o pick_v quarrel_n against_o they_o or_o to_o neglect_v any_o advantage_n or_o opportunity_n for_o peace_n with_o they_o any_o more_o than_o we_o account_v ourselves_o oblige_v to_o join_v with_o the_o false_a prophet_n and_o follow_v they_o or_o else_o to_o do_v what_o we_o can_v to_o be_v occasion_n of_o furtherance_n to_o the_o spread_a of_o their_o principle_n that_o we_o may_v have_v some_o work_n to_o strive_v and_o fight_v with_o they_o but_o if_o god_n do_v by_o his_o providence_n call_v we_o to_o defend_v ourselves_o or_o our_o nation_n against_o those_o that_o be_v for_o war_n and_o contention_n and_o will_v not_o be_v quiet_a in_o such_o troublous_a time_n and_o so_o if_o god_n in_o like_a manner_n call_v we_o to_o contend_v for_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o strive_v together_o for_o it_o in_o follow_v he_o we_o know_v we_o be_v in_o his_o way_n and_o may_v expect_v his_o blessing_n and_o have_v no_o cause_n to_o be_v terrify_v by_o our_o adversary_n and_o that_o we_o may_v do_v and_o yet_o not_o delight_v in_o war_n but_o seek_v peace_n and_o be_v for_o it_o even_o while_o they_o be_v for_o war_n which_o we_o can_v but_o do_v know_v that_o it_o be_v general_o true_a that_o all_o war_n and_o fight_n come_v of_o man_n lust_n etc._n etc._n jam._n 4._o 1_o etc._n etc._n again_o we_o read_v rev._n 17._o 16_o 17._o of_o god_n put_v it_o into_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o king_n of_o the_o earth_n not_o saint_n as_o saint_n but_o earthly_a ruler_n and_o governor_n to_o hate_v the_o whore_n and_o make_v her_o desolate_a and_o naked_a to_o eat_v her_o flesh_n and_o burn_v she_o with_o fire_n but_o not_o that_o they_o shall_v then_o give_v their_o power_n unto_o christ_n or_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o saint_n they_o be_v not_o to_o come_v by_o it_o on_o that_o fashion_n but_o their_o power_n that_o be_v
