ordinary_o work_v immediate_o without_o mean_n what_o need_v all_o these_o this_o teach_v infidel_n to_o say_v that_o he_o may_v do_v it_o without_o christ._n the_o spirit_n first_o indite_v the_o word_n as_o we_o cut_v a_o seal_n to_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o impression_n and_o then_o by_o that_o word_n do_v work_v on_o soul_n §_o 4._o but_o if_o god_n do_v tie_v himself_o not_o only_o ordinary_o but_o always_o to_o apt_a mean_n no_o mortal_a can_v say_v what_o mean_n be_v sufficient_a and_o what_o be_v insufficient_a and_o what_o be_v more_o than_o sufficient_a even_o necessary_o a_o physician_n can_v vary_v his_o medicine_n to_o cure_v the_o disease_n without_o change_v their_o nature_n or_o cure_v without_o they_o §_o 7._o but_o there_o be_v no_o question_n but_o god_n can_v work_v without_o mean_n and_o intellectual_a soul_n be_v so_o near_o to_o the_o first_o cause_n it_o be_v utter_o uncertain_a to_o we_o whether_o in_o work_n of_o grace_n god_n have_v not_o a_o double_a operation_n on_o the_o soul_n one_o by_o his_o appoint_a mean_n and_o another_o by_o immediate_a influx_n durand_n and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o how_o these_o concur_v to_o one_o and_o the_o same_o effect_n and_o also_o how_o god_n do_v immediate_o move_v soul_n be_v all_o past_a man_n reach_n and_o shall_v be_v acknowledge_v above_o our_o dispute_n §_o 8._o ii_o god_n have_v more_o inward_a operation_n on_o man_n soul_n than_o one_o or_o two_o whether_o with_o mean_n or_o without_o to_o bring_v we_o to_o faith_n and_o repentance_n the_o mind_n must_v be_v enlighten_v the_o dull_a faculty_n must_v be_v excite_v especial_o conscience_n and_o will_n and_o the_o will_n must_v be_v touch_v with_o the_o gust_n of_o divine_a love_n to_o breed_v a_o holy_a complacency_n in_o
