that_o the_o foundation_n be_v well_o lay_v and_o then_o that_o the_o building_n be_v fix_v to_o it_o and_o settle_v upon_o it_o and_o this_o course_n take_v we_o for_o the_o establish_n our_o heart_n 1._o lay_v this_o foundation_n as_o it_o be_v already_o lay_v lay_v in_o the_o word_n by_o those_o master-builder_n the_o apostle_n and_o prophet_n other_o foundation_n can_v no_o man_n lay_v then_o that_o which_o be_v lay_v so_o let_v it_o be_v lay_v in_o our_o heart_n and_o that_o both_o right_o and_o deep_o these_o be_v the_o two_o principal_a requisite_n in_o lay_v of_o a_o foundation_n that_o it_o be_v right_o set_v and_o deep_o lay_v and_o so_o let_v this_o foundation_n of_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n be_v lay_v in_o our_o heart_n 1._o let_v it_o be_v right_o set_v get_v a_o right_a set_v understanding_n of_o this_o doctrine_n that_o you_o may_v know_v what_o this_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n be_v and_o that_o this_o be_v the_o only_a way_n and_o mean_n whereby_o poor_a sinner_n may_v come_v to_o be_v justify_v and_o save_v 2._o and_o be_v thus_o right_o set_v let_v it_o lay_v also_o be_v deep_o lay_v in_o a_o deep_a apprehension_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o excellency_n of_o this_o glorious_a doctrine_n not_o suffer_v it_o to_o swim_v aloft_o in_o the_o brain_n content_v yourselves_o with_o a_o superficial_a notion_n a_o overly_o knowledge_n of_o this_o truth_n no_o that_o which_o balla_v the_o ship_n must_v not_o lie_v aloft_o upon_o the_o deck_n but_o it_o must_v be_v put_v into_o the_o hold_n into_o the_o inward_a yea_o low_a part_n of_o it_o and_o so_o deal_v you_o by_o this_o doctrine_n that_o your_o heart_n may_v be_v establish_v with_o it_o think_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o you_o have_v it_o in_o your_o head_n some_o general_a apprehension_n of_o it_o but_o let_v it_o sink_v down_o into_o the_o bottom_n of_o your_o heart_n labour_n for_o a_o serious_a and_o deep_a apprehension_n hereof_o that_o be_v convince_v of_o your_o own_o lose_a state_n and_o condition_n by_o nature_n and_o utter_a inability_n to_o do_v any_o thing_n for_o yourselves_o you_o may_v come_v to_o admire_v and_o adore_v this_o rich_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n so_o as_o it_o may_v make_v a_o deep_a impression_n upon_o your_o heart_n and_o spirit_n and_o the_o foundation_n be_v thus_o foundation_n lay_v now_o set_v your_o soul_n upon_o it_o fix_v they_o to_o it_o be_v the_o foundation_n never_o so_o well_o lay_v yet_o if_o the_o house_n be_v not_o settle_v upon_o it_o and_o fasten_v to_o it_o it_o will_v never_o stand_v sure_a and_o so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o soul_n god_n grace_n be_v a_o sure_a foundation_n where_o it_o be_v right_o lay_v but_o withal_o that_o the_o soul_n may_v be_v establish_v by_o it_o it_o must_v be_v fix_v upon_o it_o and_o this_o see_v you_o to_o as_o many_o as_o will_v have_v your_o heart_n true_o establish_v fix_v they_o settle_v they_o upon_o this_o foundation_n which_o be_v do_v by_o a_o serious_a purpose_n grace_n and_o firm_a resolution_n of_o cleave_v hereunto_o rest_v and_o rely_v hereupon_o for_o justification_n and_o salvation_n and_o this_o i_o say_v do_v you_o as_o many_o as_o will_v be_v make_v partaker_n of_o this_o great_a benefit_n to_o have_v your_o heart_n establish_v renounce_v all_o other_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n as_o be_v no_o other_o but_o mock-stayes_a false_a foundation_n pitch_v yourselves_o whole_o and_o alone_o upon_o this_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n believe_v rest_v thereon_o so_o be_v strong_a in_o the_o grace_n that_o be_v in_o jesus_n christ_n as_o paul_n exhort_v his_o timothy_n 2_o tim._n 2._o 1._o no_o way_n of_o establishment_n but_o this_o if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v sure_o you_o shall_v not_o be_v establish_v so_o the_o lord_n tell_v his_o people_n concern_v their_o temporal_a salvation_n isai._n 7._o 9_o if_o they_o will_v not_o believe_v his_o gracious_a promise_n whereby_o he_o have_v engage_v himself_o to_o they_o and_o rest_n upon_o it_o but_o will_v be_v look_v out_o after_o other_o help_n and_o succour_n other_o mean_n of_o security_n they_o shall_v not_o be_v establish_v they_o shall_v never_o be_v firm_o settle_v whether_o in_o their_o estate_n or_o in_o their_o mind_n and_o what_o he_o there_o say_v of_o temporal_a let_v it_o be_v apply_v to_o eternal_a salvation_n if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v believe_v the_o great_a gospel-promise_a that_o gracious_a promise_n make_v unto_o all_o poor_a penitent_a sinner_n upon_o their_o believe_v on_o christ_n and_o so_o rest_v upon_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o he_o but_o will_v be_v look_v after_o other_o way_n and_o mean_n of_o justification_n and_o salvation_n you_o shall_v never_o be_v establish_v your_o heart_n shall_v never_o be_v settle_v but_o i_o shall_v reserve_v a_o word_n or_o two_o for_o the_o latter_a sense_n here_o put_v upon_o this_o word_n grace_n which_o we_o shall_v find_v not_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o former_a grace_n as_o it_o
