power_n of_o the_o very_a hope_n of_o enjoy_v god_n in_o immortal_a glory_n in_o order_n to_o a_o holy_a life_n and_o every_o man_n that_o have_v this_o hope_n in_o he_o purify_v himself_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a where_o i_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o put_v you_o in_o mind_n that_o these_o word_n purify_v himself_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a design_n and_o express_v a_o imitation_n not_o a_o equality_n of_o god_n holiness_n and_o perfection_n the_o latter_a of_o these_o be_v whole_o impossible_a to_o every_o creature_n the_o former_a necessary_a for_o every_o person_n that_o serious_o aim_v at_o immortality_n nor_o shall_v i_o stand_v to_o divide_v the_o word_n into_o any_o small_a minute_n part_n lest_o by_o insist_v upon_o they_o i_o shall_v as_o it_o happen_v in_o such_o case_n lose_v or_o obscure_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o whole_a and_o trifle_v away_o the_o design_n of_o they_o and_o therefore_o omit_v useless_a care_n and_o curiosity_n i_o shall_v consider_v 1._o the_o nature_n of_o own_o profession_n and_o yet_o experience_n clear_o show_v that_o it_o have_v not_o this_o effect_n upon_o they_o which_o the_o apostle_n here_o describe_v they_o still_o continue_v in_o their_o sin_n from_o whence_o it_o appear_v this_o hope_n of_o they_o be_v not_o that_o which_o be_v here_o design_v it_o want_v the_o efficacy_n and_o success_n and_o therefore_o also_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o what_o then_o be_v the_o hope_n which_o our_o apostle_n here_o design_n a_o firm_a expectation_n of_o gain_v that_o happiness_n which_o god_n have_v promise_v consist_v in_o purity_n and_o immortality_n upon_o the_o term_n whereupon_o it_o be_v promise_v and_o by_o the_o assistance_n of_o his_o grace_n which_o he_o will_v not_o deny_v they_o that_o ask_v it_o this_o be_v style_v a_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o give_v his_o spirit_n to_o they_o that_o ask_v he_o and_o that_o in_o a_o promise_n confirm_v by_o a_o argument_n draw_v from_o common_a and_o know_a experience_n for_o so_o be_v that_o luke_n 11.13_o if_o you_o then_o be_v evil_a know_v how_o to_o give_v good_a gift_n to_o your_o child_n how_o much_o more_o shall_v your_o heavenly_a father_n give_v his_o holy_a
