contrary_a to_o it_o and_o be_v carry_v on_o by_o course_n no_o less_o contrary_a to_o the_o example_n and_o precept_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n t._n and_o by_o this_o mean_v i_o hope_v you_o do_v still_o more_o and_o more_o perceive_v that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v a_o sincere_a good_a christian_n without_o embrace_v of_o popery_n and_o particular_o this_o foundation_n article_n of_o the_o pope_n supremacy_n on_o which_o have_v be_v so_o long_o let_v we_o proceed_v to_o somewhat_o else_o chap._n vi_o of_o purgatory_n and_o prayer_n for_o the_o dead_a and_o indulgence_n l._n the_o next_o point_n which_o my_o author_n mention_n be_v purgatory_n and_o prayer_n for_o the_o dead_a which_o he_o put_v both_o together_o t._n not_o without_o cause_n for_o the_o latter_a depend_v on_o the_o former_a as_o they_o have_v now_o order_v their_o prayer_n though_o neither_o of_o they_o upon_o holy_a scripture_n as_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o to_o manifest_v but_o tell_v i_o first_o what_o say_v say_v of_o fire_n in_o another_o world_n or_o that_o man_n fault_n be_v do_v away_o by_o fire_n only_o the_o apostle_n be_v there_o speak_v of_o those_o who_o add_v their_o own_o fancy_n and_o false_a doctrine_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o christianity_n which_o doctrine_n of_o they_o shall_v in_o due_a time_n be_v strict_o examine_v and_o upon_o a_o narrow_a search_n shall_v be_v discover_v and_o reject_v even_o as_o the_o fire_n consume_v hay_n and_o stubble_n and_o if_o the_o man_n that_o preach_v these_o doctrine_n shall_v be_v find_v to_o hold_v the_o foundation_n so_o as_o to_o be_v preserve_v from_o destruction_n yet_o will_v they_o escape_v with_o great_a difficulty_n as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v save_v out_o of_o the_o fire_n and_o indeed_o this_o text_n do_v most_o apt_o represent_v to_o we_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o romish_a church_n for_o whilst_o they_o retain_v the_o foundation_n of_o christian_a religion_n they_o do_v build_v thereupon_o hay_n and_o stubble_n many_o false_a and_o corrupt_a doctrine_n as_o a_o excellent_a writer_n of_o our_o church_n in_o a_o sermon_n upon_o this_o text_n give_v a_o full_a account_n in_o a_o little_a room_n and_o among_o other_o he_o reckon_v this_o of_o purgatory_n of_o which_o with_o a_o pleasant_a sharpness_n he_o there_o say_v that_o though_o they_o have_v get_v to_o themselves_o gold_n and_o silver_n by_o this_o doctrine_n and_o that_o of_o indulgence_n which_o depend_v upon_o it_o yet_o be_v it_o as_o errant_a hay_n and_o stubble_n as_o the_o rest_n that_o be_v vain_a and_o false_a for_o neither_o this_o
