his_o power_n and_o holiness_n and_o wisdom_n and_o his_o resurrection_n and_o ascension_n into_o heaven_n and_o from_o the_o descent_n of_o his_o spirit_n upon_o his_o follower_n in_o such_o a_o public_a manner_n and_o i_o hearty_o wish_v that_o all_o that_o profess_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n will_v 1._o lay_v serious_o to_o heart_n the_o clearness_n and_o evidence_n of_o these_o proof_n and_o not_o perfunctory_o pass_v over_o all_o the_o passage_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o be_v write_v on_o purpose_n that_o we_o may_v believe_v without_o weigh_v they_o 2._o that_o they_o will_v examine_v themselves_o what_o be_v the_o first_o motive_n which_o prompt_v they_o to_o infidelity_n do_v they_o not_o love_v darkness_n because_o their_o deed_n be_v evil_a and_o do_v they_o not_o rather_o wish_v the_o gospel_n false_a than_o believe_v it_o so_o 3._o that_o they_o will_v not_o stifle_v their_o reason_n and_o refuse_v audience_n to_o those_o plea_n the_o gospel_n offer_v in_o its_o own_o defence_n when_o they_o can_v answer_v they_o do_v not_o think_v its_o enough_o to_o divert_v your_o conscience_n awhile_o from_o its_o clamour_n and_o importunity_n but_o satisfy_v it_o and_o do_v not_o rest_v till_o you_o bring_v strong_a proof_n against_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n than_o those_o be_v which_o patronize_v it_o for_o
