man_n have_v his_o sight_n may_v make_v some_o shift_n but_o a_o man_n naked_a and_o blind_a too_o be_v in_o a_o miserable_a helpless_a state_n indeed_o and_o just_o such_o be_v the_o state_n and_o spiritual_a ear_n be_v a_o very_a rare_a thing_n to_o be_v find_v that_o which_o no_o man_n have_v but_o he_o which_o have_v christ_n with_o his_o spirit_n that_o have_v have_v his_o ear_n bore_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v all_o other_o be_v as_o deaf_a as_o adder_n and_o can_v hear_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o charmer_n charm_v he_o never_o so_o wise_o i_o correction_n call_v let_v friend_n call_v father_n call_v mother_n call_v husband_n call_v wife_n call_v let_v minister_n call_v conscience_n call_v nay_o let_v christ_n himself_o call_v in_o what_o speak_v of_o some_o that_o be_v past_a feel_n have_v give_v themselves_o over_o to_o lasciviousness_n to_o work_v all_o uncleanness_n with_o greediness_n 4.9_o ephes_n 4.9_o there_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o such_o a_o senselessenesse_n as_o lie_v upon_o the_o soul_n by_o a_o second_o act_n of_o divine_a justice_n all_o humane_a spirit_n by_o the_o first_o act_n of_o divine_a justice_n upon_o affect_v the_o soul_n with_o sorrow_n when_o holy_a way_n and_o work_n do_v not_o kind_o affect_v the_o soul_n with_o joy_n as_o in_o the_o other_o sense_n when_o they_o do_v not_o affect_v the_o soul_n with_o joy_n at_o all_o but_o rather_o disturb_v and_o provoke_v to_o passion_n and_o malice_n i_o will_v have_v all_o that_o live_v in_o their_o sin_n serious_o think_v on_o this_o also_o as_o a_o further_a degree_n of_o unhappiness_n you_o have_v hear_v many_o powerful_a sermon_n which_o you_o have_v see_v work_n admirable_o upon_o other_o &_o yet_o they_o have_v make_v no_o impression_n upon_o your_o spirit_n &_o many_o hundred_o more_o may_v you_o hear_v and_o no_o divine_a impression_n at_o last_o be_v make_v and_o the_o reason_n of_o both_o one_o and_o the_o same_o because_o christ_n be_v not_o with_o your_o spirit_n and_o by_o reason_n of_o this_o your_o heart_n be_v as_o adamant_n which_o every_o stroke_n harden_v but_o not_o break_v it_o let_v the_o master_n smite_v and_o the_o man_n smite_v let_v god_n smite_v and_o his_o minister_n smite_v and_o conscience_n smite_v nay_o let_v every_o member_n of_o the_o body_n be_v smite_v with_o punishment_n to_o affect_v the_o soul_n with_o sin_n yet_o will_v it_o not_o stir_v and_o complain_v unless_o christ_n be_v with_o it_o final_o a_o man_n spirit_n without_o christ_n be_v without_o taste_v or_o smell_v to_o as_o to_o the_o sense_n of_o taste_v and_o therefore_o for_o brevity_n sake_n do_v i_o here_o join_v both_o sense_n together_o in_o a_o spiritull_n way_n of_o allusion_n why_o all_o that_o have_v not_o christ_n with_o their_o spirit_n be_v such_o as_o can_v right_o savour_v spiritual_a thing_n such_o put_v bitter_a for_o sweet_a and_o sweet_a for_o bitter_a i_o will_v have_v all_o you_o that_o live_v in_o your_o sin_n serious_o think_v on_o this_o too_o as_o a_o further_a degree_n of_o unhappiness_n you_o come_v oft_o time_n to_o wisdom_n house_n and_o though_o she_o prepare_v you_o all_o spiritual_a dainty_n yet_o you_o can_v relish_v nothing_o but_o some_o by_o thing_n that_o lie_v about_o the_o dish_n rather_o for_o ornament_n they_o for_o food_n and_o will_v you_o know_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o it_o be_v because_o christ_n be_v not_o with_o your_o spirit_n if_o christ_n be_v with_o you_o you_o will_v feed_v on_o every_o dish_n at_o wisdom_n table_n on_o promise_n yea_o &_o on_o threaten_n too_o to_o the_o hungry_a soul_n every_o bitter_a thing_n be_v sweet_a say_v solomon_n all_o that_o be_v good_a and_o wholesome_a go_v down_o well_o where_o christ_n be_v with_o the_o spirit_n you_o come_v frequent_o to_o wisdom_n house_n who_o keep_v a_o table_n here_o and_o it_o be_v for_o a_o king_n and_o yet_o you_o have_v lean_a shrivel_a soul_n like_o man_n in_o a_o consumption_n every_o one_o tell_v you_o that_o you_o look_v as_o if_o you_o be_v starve_v speak_v and_o live_v as_o if_o you_o never_o hear_v a_o good_a sermon_n from_o

so_o it_o be_v a_o prime_n and_o principal_a evil_a and_o unhappiness_n not_o to_o have_v christ_n with_o our_o spirit_n wherefore_o have_v lay_v open_a both_o before_o you_o let_v i_o entreat_v you_o all_o to_o look_v in_o upon_o your_o spirit_n and_o see_v who_o keep_v company_n with_o they_o christ_n or_o the_o devil_n one_o of_o these_o two_o be_v with_o all_o our_o spirit_n if_o christ_n be_v vigerous_a in_o reference_n to_o all_o righteous_a way_n and_o if_o therefore_o you_o will_v know_v whether_o christ_n be_v with_o your_o spirit_n see_v whether_o your_o body_n be_v dead_a because_o
