strong_a and_o press_v to_o be_v satisfy_v and_o man_n will_v not_o can_v lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o it_o but_o even_o this_o must_v be_v give_v of_o god_n that_o he_o keep_v man_n down_o and_o his_o lust_n and_o desire_n under_o viz._n so_o to_o see_v and_o feel_v himself_o as_o 1._o that_o he_o shall_v think_v himself_o unworthy_a of_o any_o food_n or_o to_o live_v 2._o that_o his_o mind_n be_v so_o perplex_v with_o want_n of_o another_o thing_n even_o christ_n that_o his_o mind_n be_v thereby_o draw_v off_o all_o these_o thing_n 3._o but_o he_o that_o walk_v orderly_o with_o christ_n under_o the_o cross_n be_v please_v with_o any_o thing_n brown_a bread_n and_o the_o gospel_n be_v good_a fare_n not_o vow_v wilful_a poverty_n but_o rejoice_v in_o christ_n and_o all_o his_o gift_n yet_o well_o content_v in_o the_o want_n of_o they_o who_o glory_n be_v in_o their_o shame_n of_o wâ—ll_n end_n in_o shame_n viz_o they_o seek_v glory_n by_o their_o religion_n and_o profession_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o this_o course_n will_v bring_v more_o shame_n then_o if_o they_o have_v never_o profess_v it_o they_o seek_v glory_n but_o it_o be_v but_o a_o poor_a portion_n so_o that_o many_o in_o the_o church_n profess_v the_o gospel_n that_o they_o may_v gain_v glory_n to_o themselves_o thereby_o in_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n rather_o than_o out_o of_o simple_a love_n and_o sympathize_v of_o heart_n with_o the_o gospel_n you_o seek_v honour_v one_o of_o another_o the_o disciple_n seek_v who_o to_o be_v great_a pharisees_n take_v the_o uppermost_a room_n make_v their_o phylactary_n broad_a &_o all_o to_o be_v see_v of_o man_n 1._o for_o respect_n be_v still_o the_o aim_n of_o all_o knowledge_n and_o therefore_o man_n labour_v for_o knowledge_n that_o he_o may_v appear_v so_o this_o itch_a humour_n set_v he_o a_o work_n rather_o than_o his_o own_o misery_n and_o want_n 2._o this_o do_v still_o follow_v the_o gospel_n other_o that_o profess_v not_o look_v for_o no_o glory_n this_o way_n and_o yet_o this_o shall_v end_v in_o shame_n 1._o be_v not_o this_o apparent_a when_o man_n speak_v and_o talk_v of_o religion_n and_o utter_v great_a bumbaisted_a term_n and_o fly_v and_o soar_v above_o when_o god_n speak_v not_o in_o they_o all_o to_o be_v see_v and_o hear_v nay_o when_o we_o preach_v to_o please_v man_n we_o be_v not_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n but_o when_o out_o of_o love_n to_o christ_n and_o sense_n of_o the_o misery_n of_o man_n and_o our_o own_o we_o pity_v man_n and_o make_v know_v the_o will_n of_o the_o father_n to_o they_o than_o we_o serve_v christ_n 2._o have_v not_o all_o a_o aim_a and_o desire_v of_o this_o man_n loath_a to_o appear_v ignorant_a but_o clothes_n himself_o with_o knowledge_n well_o christ_n see_v thy_o double_a heart_n and_o his_o servant_n feel_v not_o the_o warm_a power_n of_o his_o spirit_n in_o thou_o therefore_o it_o shall_v end_v in_o shame_n christ_n love_v the_o publican_n better_o than_o those_o 3._o but_o grievous_a burden_n and_o snare_n when_o he_o cross_v by_o reason_n the_o truth_n of_o god_n for_o so_o he_o possess_v many_o in_o christ_n time_n and_o now_o prevail_v with_o many_o also_o sometime_o with_o strong_a &_o black_a argument_n vex_v with_o fear_n doubt_v and_o distraction_n call_v the_o truth_n a_o lie_n 2._o guiltiness_n of_o sin_n by_o the_o law_n lie_v heavy_a urge_v also_o by_o satan_n fill_v the_o heart_n with_o fear_n and_o disruâ—â—_n the_o conscience_n unquiet_a and_o the_o heart_n not_o establish_v in_o faith_n but_o still_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o his_o own_o unrighteousness_n and_o think_v if_o he_o be_v more_o holy_a and_o righteous_a all_o shall_v be_v well_o but_o the_o remedy_n be_v to_o accuse_v thyself_o still_o confess_v the_o law_n meet_v the_o curse_n and_o bear_v indignation_n yet_o turn_v from_o these_o argument_n of_o reason_n tell_v the_o devil_n thou_o never_o sin_v against_o he_o but_o obey_v he_o but_o against_o christ_n and_o that_o lief_o these_o groan_n be_v help_v by_o the_o spirit_n and_o then_o come_v the_o feel_n of_o joy_n and_o gladness_n 3._o rebellion_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v a_o burden_n to_o believer_n when_o he_o will_v do_v good_a evil_n be_v present_a draw_v unaware_o to_o vile_a course_n still_o prick_v he_o forward_o to_o tickle_a lust_n draw_v still_o to_o look_v to_o the_o world_n and_o so_o darken_n the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o he_o but_o see_v that_o it_o be_v a_o burden_n and_o whether_o it_o be_v not_o the_o strength_n of_o thy_o fleshly_a will_v not_o yet_o subdue_v that_o it_o be_v a_o burden_n rather_o because_o thou_o can_v not_o have_v thy_o own_o will_n than_o because_o thou_o can_v not_o have_v thy_o will_n subdue_v like_o a_o froward_a wife_n which_o say_v she_o will_v be_v content_a and_o let_v her_o husband_n do_v what_o he_o will_v but_o withal_o fret_v and_o repine_v because_o the_o husband_n will_v not_o yield_v which_o he_o must_v do_v or_o else_o she_o will_v never_o be_v quiet_a here_o not_o the_o frowardness_n but_o the_o cross_n of_o her_o will_n be_v her_o burden_n she_o be_v not_o a_o burden_n to_o herself_o but_o her_o husband_n will_n be_v a_o burden_n to_o she_o and_o she_o unto_o he_o so_o with_o god_n but_o if_o it_o be_v a_o burden_n indeed_o no_o remedy_n but_o christ_n thâ—t_o thou_o let_v he_o see_v and_o know_v that_o it_o be_v
