may_v cry_v more_o to_o he_o and_o pour_v out_o our_o complaint_n more_o to_o he_o as_o this_o poor_a woman_n do_v she_o come_v and_o cry_v o_o lord_n thou_o son_n of_o david_n poor_a soul_n be_v apt_a to_o look_v to_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o day_n of_o distress_n and_o think_v such_o and_o such_o creature_n can_v comfort_v sure_o my_o bed_n shall_v comfort_v i_o and_o my_o couch_n give_v they_o meet_v with_o little_a satisfaction_n and_o little_a relief_n and_o comfort_n and_o their_o spirit_n be_v fill_v with_o discontent_n and_o dissatisfaction_n when_o as_o they_o meet_v with_o such_o man_n sometime_o as_o have_v no_o compassion_n at_o all_o in_o they_o and_o sometime_o meet_v with_o good_a word_n and_o no_o more_o and_o sometime_o meet_v with_o such_o as_o pity_v they_o but_o have_v no_o power_n and_o sometime_o meet_v with_o some_o that_o will_v aggravate_v the_o affliction_n and_o just_o it_o be_v with_o god_n it_o shall_v be_v so_o when_o we_o will_v not_o look_v to_o the_o rock_n o_o that_o such_o disappointment_n may_v reach_v we_o to_o look_v to_o the_o lord_n we_o have_v think_v that_o this_o creature_n may_v ease_v but_o we_o have_v meet_v with_o disappointment_n o_o that_o these_o disappointment_n may_v teach_v we_o to_o go_v to_o christ_n as_o this_o woman_n and_o thus_o the_o poor_a man_n do_v for_o his_o son_n that_o he_o will_v cast_v out_o the_o unclean_a spirit_n i_o go_v say_v he_o to_o thy_o disciple_n and_o they_o try_v to_o cast_v out_o the_o unclean_a spirit_n but_o can_v not_o and_o then_o he_o come_v to_o christ_n i_o have_v be_v with_o thy_o disciple_n and_o they_o can_v not_o cast_v out_o the_o unclean_a spirit_n but_o thou_o can_v do_v it_o and_o christ_n do_v do_v it_o and_o o_o that_o these_o disappointment_n may_v teach_v we_o to_o go_v more_o to_o christ_n and_o make_v our_o complaint_n more_o to_o he_o in_o time_n of_o distress_n quest_n but_o you_o will_v say_v what_o may_v we_o not_o go_v to_o our_o friend_n be_v it_o not_o lawful_a to_o go_v to_o man_n when_o we_o be_v under_o pressure_n and_o burden_n either_o of_o the_o outward_a or_o inward_a man_n and_o to_o such_o and_o such_o as_o may_v now_o speak_v to_o the_o second_o proposition_n this_o woman_n be_v in_o great_a affliction_n and_o distress_n her_o daughter_n be_v possess_v with_o a_o devil_n and_o that_o be_v a_o sore_a burden_n to_o her_o spirit_n now_o this_o great_a affliction_n make_v she_o cry_v loud_o for_o the_o text_n do_v not_o say_v she_o come_v &_o entreat_v and_o beseech_v he_o but_o the_o text_n say_v she_o come_v and_o cry_v unto_o he_o say_v have_v mercy_n on_o i_o o_o lord_n so_o then_o observe_v this_o strong_a affliction_n will_v raise_v strong_a cry_n doctrine_n even_o in_o god_n own_o people_n insensible_a and_o the_o spirit_n insensible_a but_o it_o allow_v the_o flesh_n to_o be_v sensible_a and_o to_o cry_v out_o of_o his_o burden_n so_o it_o be_v without_o sin_n second_o flesh_n there_o be_v another_o cry_n of_o the_o flesh_n that_o be_v raise_v by_o sore_a affliction_n and_o that_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n now_o this_o sinful_a cry_n you_o shall_v know_v it_o thus_o first_o of_o all_o sinful_a it_o spring_v from_o pride_n it_o will_v make_v a_o man_n cry_v out_o through_o pride_n of_o heart_n he_o can_v bear_v his_o burden_n nor_o submit_v to_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n through_o pride_n of_o heart_n when_o a_o creature_n stand_v upon_o it_o to_o justify_v himself_o and_o accuse_v god_n call_v god_n to_o a_o account_n why_o be_o i_o thus_o and_o what_o be_o i_o worse_o than_o other_o and_o why_o shall_v god_n take_v i_o out_o from_o all_o other_o to_o make_v i_o a_o example_n to_o all_o other_o what_o have_v i_o do_v and_o what_o be_v my_o sin_n more_o than_o other_o when_o a_o creature_n will_v not_o submit_v to_o god_n in_o his_o affliction_n but_o charge_n god_n foolish_o and_o when_o as_o he_o quarrel_v with_o his_o affliction_n if_o any_o affliction_n but_o this_o i_o can_v have_v bear_v it_o but_o as_o for_o this_o affliction_n my_o spirit_n can_v bear_v it_o o_o here_o be_v a_o cry_n that_o be_v raise_v by_o affliction_n but_o it_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n second_o there_o be_v a_o cry_n in_o affliction_n that_o do_v spring_n from_o impatiency_n and_o that_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n when_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n shall_v cry_v out_o with_o a_o great_a cry_n and_o make_v a_o great_a lamentation_n and_o yet_o their_o burden_n but_o a_o ordinary_a burâ—â—â—_n only_o they_o make_v it_o great_a through_o impatiency_n noâ—_n that_o the_o affliction_n be_v so_o in_o itself_o if_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v a_o heart_n to_o carry_v patient_o under_o it_o but_o there_o be_v many_o a_o poor_a creature_n struggle_v with_o his_o affliction_n as_o a_o young_a beast_n unaccustomed_a to_o the_o yoke_n the_o yoke_n be_v easy_a but_o by_o struggle_v and_o strive_v it_o pinch_v and_o make_v it_o cry_v out_o and_o so_o a_o man_n by_o strive_v under_o the_o yoke_n of_o the_o lord_n though_o it_o be_v job_n counsel_n that_o it_o be_v good_a to_o bear_v the_o yoke_n yet_o it_o bring_v impatience_n cry_v out_o this_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n three_o that_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n that_o spring_v from_o unbelief_n and_o be_v accompany_v with_o unbelief_n when_o as_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n in_o time_n of_o affliction_n shall_v give_v way_n to_o hard_a thought_n of_o god_n whatever_o cry_n be_v accompany_v with_o unbelief_n be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n yet_o this_o be_v the_o case_n of_o many_o they_o can_v persuade_v themselves_o that_o there_o be_v any_o love_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n towards_o they_o and_o any_o love_n in_o such_o a_o affliction_n i_o can_v believe_v it_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v love_n in_o such_o a_o affliction_n that_o god_n shall_v lay_v such_o a_o heavy_a burden_n upon_o i_o and_o have_v any_o love_n to_o i_o when_o it_o cry_v out_o thus_o with_o unbelieving_a cry_n this_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n and_o so_o when_o a_o man_n can_v be_v persuade_v that_o the_o lord_n shall_v make_v a_o good_a end_n with_o he_o in_o affliction_n o_o sure_a i_o shall_v perish_v one_o day_n and_o fall_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o this_o affliction_n i_o shall_v be_v break_v all_o to_o piece_n and_o never_o be_v able_a to_o stand_v under_o my_o burden_n when_o as_o the_o soul_n be_v thus_o fill_v with_o unbelieving_a despair_a thought_n concern_v god_n and_o concern_v the_o end_n of_o his_o affliction_n and_o so_o cry_v out_o in_o unbelief_n people_n this_o be_v a_o sinful_a cry_n first_o and_o again_o great_a and_o sore_a affliction_n may_v occasion_v such_o cry_n even_o sinful_a cry_n as_o the_o cry_n of_o unbelief_n and_o impatiency_n and_o that_o upon_o this_o ground_n there_o be_v remainder_n of_o corruption_n in_o the_o best_a heart_n there_o be_v sinful_a flesh_n as_o well_o as_o spirit_n second_o great_a affliction_n do_v expose_v god_n own_o people_n to_o great_a temptation_n many_o time_n they_o go_v together_o great_a affliction_n and_o great_a temptation_n for_o the_o devil_n seek_v his_o opportunity_n to_o do_v mischief_n as_o the_o lord_n wait_v to_o be_v gracious_a so_o satan_n wait_v to_o do_v mischief_n many_o time_n in_o great_a affliction_n when_o the_o water_n be_v high_a than_o the_o devil_n will_v assault_v god_n make_v use_v of_o affliction_n to_o make_v his_o people_n seek_v he_o early_o but_o now_o the_o devil_n he_o wait_v to_o make_v the_o soul_n cry_v out_o with_o a_o sinful_a cry_n and_o many_o time_n the_o lord_n suffer_v he_o to_o prevail_v but_o this_o cry_n of_o the_o woman_n of_o canaan_n be_v not_o the_o cry_n of_o pride_n impatience_n and_o unbelief_n but_o her_o cry_n be_v the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o temptation_n and_o trial_n and_o make_v it_o the_o great_a so_o long_o as_o this_o woman_n see_v that_o the_o disciple_n be_v plead_v for_o she_o she_o may_v have_v hope_n though_o there_o be_v no_o ground_n of_o hope_n as_o to_o her_o request_n christ_n be_v silent_a thereunto_o yet_o it_o may_v revive_v her_o spirit_n to_o see_v his_o disciple_n step_v in_o and_o they_o to_o improve_v their_o shall_v find_v that_o this_o woman_n supplication_n it_o be_v accompany_v with_o faith_n fervency_n without_o faith_n can_v not_o avail_v but_o there_o be_v a_o expression_n of_o her_o faith_n that_o do_v not_o only_o seem_v to_o deny_v she_o but_o seem_v to_o beat_v she_o back_o and_o that_o with_o shame_n and_o reproach_n a_o very_a sore_a temptation_n christ_n seem_v now_o to_o do_v his_o and_o so_o christ_n shall_v have_v lose_v the_o honour_n she_o be_v under_o a_o temptation_n and_o it_o be_v from_o the_o sense_n of_o her_o unworthiness_n and_o so_o the_o centurion_n centurion_n luke_n 7._o 7._o what_o be_v it_o that_o keep_v he_o from_o christ_n it_o be_v the_o sense_n of_o his_o unworthiness_n wherefore_o neither_o thought_n i_o myself_o worthy_a to_o come_v unto_o thou_o and_o thus_o defile_v defile_v all_o over_o within_z and_o without_o heart_n defile_v and_o life_n defile_v and_o when_o the_o soul_n come_v to_o pore_v upon_o this_o it_o prove_v many_o time_n matter_n of_o sore_a temptation_n and_o especial_o this_o sinfulness_n be_v matter_n of_o temptation_n in_o these_o two_o or_o three_o branch_n first_o

lord_n there_o be_v cause_n of_o justify_v the_o lord_n so_o david_n though_o he_o be_v not_o guilty_a in_o that_o respect_n that_o shimei_n say_v he_o be_v guilty_a yet_o say_v he_o it_o be_v just_a with_o the_o lord_n and_o it_o be_v a_o righteous_a thing_n that_o i_o shall_v be_v thus_o accuse_v by_o shimei_n and_o for_o the_o quiet_v of_o thy_o spirit_n use_v those_o argument_n that_o david_n again_o one_o word_n of_o use_n more_o and_o so_o i_o shall_v conclude_v look_v up_o to_o the_o lord_n for_o this_o grace_n of_o humility_n o_o what_o cause_n have_v we_o to_o give_v up_o our_o heart_n into_o god_n hand_n that_o he_o may_v make_v we_o true_o humble_a sure_o we_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o justify_v the_o lord_n if_o the_o heart_n be_v not_o lay_v low_o and_o make_v true_o humble_a the_o lord_n jesus_n he_o have_v humble_v this_o woman_n he_o have_v lay_v she_o very_o low_a he_o have_v sanctify_v her_o affliction_n to_o humble_v she_o she_o have_v meet_v with_o great_a affliction_n her_o daughter_n be_v vex_v with_o a_o dwil_n the_o lord_n sanctify_v that_o affliction_n to_o humble_v she_o and_o she_o also_o meet_v with_o great_a temptation_n three_o sore_a temptation_n we_o read_v of_o and_o the_o lord_n also_o sanctify_v those_o temptation_n to_o humble_v she_o and_o she_o have_v also_o meet_v with_o discovery_n of_o grace_n and_o love_n the_o lord_n low_o true_o if_o this_o woman_n have_v not_o have_v a_o humble_a heart_n she_o can_v never_o have_v carry_v it_o so_o in_o the_o time_n of_o affliction_n and_o in_o the_o time_n of_o this_o temptation_n but_o she_o will_v have_v fly_v in_o the_o face_n of_o christ_n christ_n call_v her_o dog_n and_o tell_v she_o that_o it_o be_v not_o meet_v to_o take_v the_o child_n bread_n and_o give_v it_o to_o dog_n if_o her_o heart_n have_v not_o be_v humble_a she_o will_v have_v discover_v herself_o to_o have_v be_v a_o dog_n she_o will_v have_v bark_v against_o he_o but_o she_o carry_v it_o very_o gracious_o and_o in_o all_o that_o christ_n speak_v justify_v he_o truth_n lord._n o_o that_o we_o may_v go_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o beg_v of_o god_n that_o he_o will_v give_v out_o more_o believer_n he_o be_v as_o a_o ship_n upon_o the_o sea_n indeed_o christ_n be_v the_o builder_n of_o this_o ship_n christ_n be_v the_o owner_n of_o this_o ship_n it_o be_v christ_n that_o lanch_v the_o
