absence_n of_o god_n in_o a_o good_a enough_o part_n i_o grant_v all_o live_v indeed_o and_o be_v by_o he_o but_o all_o understand_v not_o that_o only_o they_o understand_v and_o feel_v that_o who_o have_v begin_v to_o live_v that_o life_n of_o god_n &_o have_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n they_o indeed_o ascribe_v to_o god_n alone_o as_o his_o gift_n not_o only_o that_o spiritual_a life_n but_o even_o the_o sensual_a life_n yea_o the_o sparrow_n the_o three_o affection_n indignation_n for_o he_o be_v angry_a yea_o that_o a_o sparrow_n or_o a_o swallow_n shall_v have_v some_o entry_n to_o the_o altar_n of_o god_n when_o notwithstanding_a the_o altar_n of_o god_n belong_v nothing_o to_o those_o little_a bird_n but_o he_o himself_o which_o be_v a_o member_n of_o the_o church_n all_o entry_n unto_o the_o church_n of_o god_n be_v utter_o stop_v up_o you_o see_v therefore_o that_o the_o godly_a be_v destitute_a of_o god_n presence_n envy_n that_o the_o little_a bird_n shall_v have_v the_o same_o and_o they_o think_v themselves_o miserable_a in_o respect_n of_o the_o bird_n you_o see_v also_o that_o god_n by_o the_o bird_n do_v after_o some_o sort_n provoke_v man_n to_o emulation_n the_o ungodlie_a in_o this_o life_n do_v suffer_v easy_o the_o thing_n create_v and_o dumb_a to_o draw_v near_o unto_o god_n they_o themselves_o and_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o think_v not_o themselves_o in_o this_o respect_n either_o more_o bless_a or_o more_o miserable_a they_o themselves_o but_o when_o they_o shall_v come_v to_o that_o latter_a judgement_n or_o to_o that_o air_n and_o to_o those_o cloud_n wherewith_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v environ_v and_o upon_o which_o he_o shall_v set_v miserable_a man_n they_o shall_v think_v the_o bird_n happy_a in_o respect_n of_o themselves_o my_o king_n and_o my_o god_n those_o name_n of_o god_n sufficient_o declare_v that_o there_o be_v also_o some_o presence_n of_o god_n present_a at_o that_o time_n when_o he_o so_o communion_n of_o god_n which_o they_o will_v have_v for_o we_o live_v here_o by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sight_n that_o be_v we_o look_v a_o far_o off_o only_o upon_o the_o lord_n and_o that_o self_n same_o sight_n which_o be_v from_o a_o far_o off_o be_v hinder_v many_o way_n yea_o many_o time_n also_o all_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v rest_n away_o from_o our_o eye_n from_o thence_o arise_v that_o desire_n of_o flit_a out_o of_o this_o body_n and_o go_v to_o dwell_v with_o the_o lord_n from_o thence_o come_v these_o complaint_n concern_v the_o lord_n absence_n bless_a be_v those_o who_o dwell_v this_n be_v the_o four_o affection_n wound_a he_o can_v sufficient_o wonder_v at_o the_o blessedness_n of_o these_o man_n who_o have_v some_o entry_n patent_n unto_o god_n that_o be_v to_o that_o visible_a ministry_n in_o which_o god_n exhibit_v himself_o to_o be_v see_v in_o some_o sort_n for_o whosoever_o at_o any_o time_n have_v god_n present_a with_o themselves_o those_o define_v that_o blessedness_n that_o felicity_n of_o man_n by_o that_o same_o presence_n and_o communion_n which_o be_v with_o god_n neither_o be_v they_o able_a at_o any_o time_n who_o have_v not_o see_v god_n in_o christ_n either_o to_o think_v
put_v their_o confidence_n in_o any_o of_o their_o own_o deserve_n neither_o yet_o to_o vaunt_v of_o their_o own_o righteousness_n before_o god_n as_o if_o they_o not_o only_o by_o their_o righteousness_n have_v recompense_v the_o benefit_n of_o god_n towards_o they_o but_o also_o have_v deserve_v somewhat_o at_o god_n hand_n we_o be_v again_o teach_v here_o that_o the_o acknowledge_v of_o our_o own_o weakness_n &_o poverty_n proceed_v from_o diligent_a examine_n and_o weigh_v of_o the_o benefit_n of_o god_n also_o from_o a_o consideration_n of_o our_o gift_n whether_o they_o be_v able_a to_o answer_v to_o so_o many_o &_o so_o great_a benefit_n of_o god_n wherefore_o so_o at_o last_o we_o shall_v feel_v how_o unable_a yea_o that_o wear_v nothing_o if_o we_o will_v weigh_v the_o benefit_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o and_o our_o strength_n &_o gift_n together_o have_v compare_v they_o among_o themselves_o for_o it_o will_v so_o come_v to_o pass_v at_o length_n that_o have_v life_n as_o in_o their_o death_n then_o he_o confirm_v this_o providence_n of_o god_n from_o his_o own_o experience_n first_o therefore_o say_v he_o the_o death_n be_v precious_a man_n do_v common_o think_v while_o they_o see_v the_o godly_a afflict_a and_o exercise_v with_o sundry_a calamity_n they_o think_v i_o say_v that_o god_n at_o that_o time_n take_v no_o thought_n of_o they_o whether_o they_o live_v or_o die_v and_o from_o thence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o persecutor_n themselves_o think_v that_o god_n take_v a_o like_a little_a care_n of_o their_o life_n &_o death_n they_o wax_v the_o more_o fierce_a against_o they_o as_o against_o as_o many_o vile_a and_o abject_a slave_n david_n therefore_o oppose_v to_o the_o perverse_a opinion_n of_o man_n in_o this_o place_n this_o requisite_a that_o he_o that_o will_v draw_v near_o to_o that_o throne_n of_o grace_n be_v enarm_v and_o prepare_v against_o that_o wrath_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n which_o suffer_v nothing_o
