afford_v we_o civil_a government_n and_o to_o preserve_v the_o same_o and_o though_o the_o benefit_n thereof_o be_v general_a and_o extend_v to_o all_o mankind_n yet_o in_o the_o order_n and_o establish_v commonweal_n god_n have_v a_o special_a care_n of_o the_o church_n and_o the_o society_n of_o pilgrim_n and_o stranger_n here_o on_o earth_n who_o seek_v eternal_a peace_n in_o heaven_n poverty_n desolation_n many_o other_o misery_n and_o many_o time_n change_n of_o government_n or_o the_o translation_n of_o the_o power_n civil_a from_o one_o people_n to_o another_o and_o sometime_o anarchy_n and_o a_o total_a dissolution_n of_o all_o order_n god_n use_v the_o governor_n to_o punish_v the_o people_n the_o people_n to_o punish_v their_o prince_n and_o sometime_o the_o sword_n of_o a_o foreign_a prince_n to_o punish_v or_o destroy_v both_o and_o when_o no_o justice_n can_v be_v have_v from_o man_n on_o earth_n he_o execute_v vengeance_n in_o some_o extraordinary_a manner_n from_o heaven_n thus_o

there_o be_v many_o kind_n of_o hear_v and_o many_o degree_n thereof_o neither_o be_v any_o kind_n of_o hear_v such_o as_o upon_o which_o faith_n do_v follow_v for_o when_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o faith_n be_v by_o hear_v he_o intend_v some_o special_a hear_n which_o require_v a_o due_a preparation_n of_o the_o heart_n antecedent_n for_o when_o a_o regenerate_a person_n hear_v the_o consider_v with_o application_n of_o it_o to_o himself_o he_o may_v hear_v and_o neither_o serious_o consider_v it_o nor_o right_o apply_v it_o he_o may_v hear_v for_o knowledge_n or_o some_o other_o end_n only_o he_o may_v hear_v for_o practice_v and_o real_a practice_n he_o may_v hear_v it_o as_o the_o word_n of_o god_n or_o not_o as_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o of_o man_n he_o may_v hear_v it_o so_o as_o to_o obey_v the_o command_n and_o to_o do_v the_o duty_n command_v to_o avoid_v the_o sin_n prohibit_v to_o trust_v in_o the_o mercy_n promise_v to_o fear_v the_o punishment_n threaten_v he_o may_v hear_v it_o as_o cast_v away_o all_o filthiness_n and_o superfluity_n of_o naughtiness_n and_o with_o a_o meek_a heart_n and_o he_o may_v hear_v it_o another_o way_n though_o 4_o this_o favour_n be_v not_o a_o fancy_n and_o conceit_n that_o god_n do_v love_v we_o but_o it_o be_v real_o and_o full_o manifest_v in_o our_o heart_n by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o god_n
