this_o work_n that_o it_o be_v a_o work_n of_o more_o difficulty_n than_o many_o account_v it_o not_o so_o soon_o do_v as_o think_v on_o it_o be_v not_o a_o few_o sigh_n and_o superficial_a groan_n it_o be_v not_o a_o few_o proverbial_a notion_n nor_o yet_o the_o subdue_a of_o some_o notorious_a sin_n which_o be_v punishable_a and_o shameful_a in_o the_o world_n but_o a_o total_a and_o universal_a change_n of_o all_o the_o faculty_n and_o power_n of_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v in_o the_o word_n of_o the_o apostle_n a_o put_n off_o concern_v the_o former_a conversation_n the_o old_a man_n which_o be_v corrupt_a according_a to_o the_o deceivable_a lust_n and_o a_o renovation_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o our_o mind_n by_o put_v on_o that_o new_a man_n which_o after_o god_n be_v create_v in_o righteousness_n and_o true_a holiness_n eph._n 4._o 22_o 23_o 24._o and_o though_o we_o can_v attain_v the_o full_a measure_n and_o further_a degree_n of_o this_o cleanse_n at_o the_o first_o nor_o yet_o feel_v such_o a_o sensible_a apprehension_n of_o the_o same_o as_o we_o desire_v yet_o let_v we_o not_o give_v over_o endeavour_n nor_o be_v discomfort_a and_o disquiet_v in_o our_o soul_n if_o god_n give_v we_o a_o first-fruit_n he_o will_v in_o time_n give_v we_o a_o harvest_n jam._n 5._o 7._o the_o husbandman_n wait_v with_o long_a patience_n for_o the_o precious_a fruit_n of_o the_o earth_n until_o he_o receive_v the_o former_a and_o the_o latter_a rain_n and_o if_o we_o be_v patient_a and_o establish_v our_o heart_n god_n will_v give_v unto_o we_o heart_n cleanse_v in_o some_o measure_n of_o all_o filthy_a thought_n in_o this_o case_n we_o be_v not_o without_o a_o promise_n after_o those_o day_n say_v the_o lord_n i_o will_v put_v my_o law_n in_o their_o inward_a part_n and_o write_v it_o in_o their_o heart_n jer._n 31._o 33._o and_o if_o we_o be_v once_o make_v master_n of_o some_o good_a thought_n god_n will_v make_v we_o master_n over_o more_o for_o he_o who_o god_n find_v faithful_a over_o a_o few_o thing_n he_o will_v make_v lord_n over_o many_o thing_n and_o to_o he_o that_o have_v it_o shall_v be_v give_v and_o he_o shall_v have_v abundance_n if_o any_o will_v know_v how_o to_o cleanse_v and_o purify_v the_o heart_n he_o may_v consult_v author_n purposely_o write_v upon_o that_o subject_a there_o be_v treatise_n write_v and_o by_o his_o spirit_n inward_o give_v and_o apply_v that_o which_o be_v speak_v unto_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o hearer_n whereby_o the_o heart_n see_v its_o own_o corruption_n and_o misery_n and_o thereupon_o loathe_v and_o abhor_v itself_o and_o as_o a_o stomach_n surfeit_v with_o evil_a humour_n will_v willing_o disgorge_v itself_o so_o it_o desire_v to_o be_v deliver_v of_o its_o sin_n and_o ease_v of_o its_o misery_n then_o hear_v and_o attend_v to_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o conceive_v hope_n by_o christ_n that_o new_a and_o live_a way_n not_o only_o to_o be_v discharge_v of_o sin_n and_o misery_n but_o also_o to_o be_v receive_v into_o favour_n with_o god_n and_o then_o lie_v groan_v at_o the_o footstool_n of_o grace_n till_o god_n come_v in_o
