8.21_o gen._n 6.5,6_o with_o gen._n 8.21_o in_o the_o six_o of_o genesis_n it_o be_v say_v there_o that_o the_o lord_n see_v that_o the_o imagination_n of_o man_n heart_n be_v evil_a and_o only_o evil_a and_o that_o continual_o and_o therefore_o say_v god_n i_o will_v destroy_v man_n from_o the_o earth_n there_o their_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o the_o issue_n and_o act_n of_o it_o provoke_v god_n to_o fury_n but_o compare_v that_o place_n with_o chapt._n 8.21_o and_o there_o you_o read_v that_o god_n will_v not_o any_o more_o curse_v the_o ground_n for_o man_n sake_n because_o the_o speak_v not_o only_o to_o unregenerate_a man_n but_o to_o the_o regenerate_a also_o and_o there_o be_v these_o seven_o

consideration_n to_o provoke_v you_o to_o be_v humble_v 1._o consider_v that_o the_o flesh_n and_o thereby_o this_o contrariety_n against_o grace_n it_o be_v more_o ancient_a in_o thou_o then_o grace_n be_v in_o thou_o it_o be_v in_o thou_o before_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n be_v divine_n make_v the_o struggle_a of_o esau_n and_o jacob_n in_o the_o womb_n of_o rebeccah_n a_o emblem_n of_o corruption_n and_o grace_n in_o a_o regenerate_a man_n they_o struggle_v in_o the_o womb_n and_o it_o be_v observe_v that_o esau_n the_o bad_a son_n be_v bear_v first_o and_o jacob_n the_o good_a son_n bear_v last_o it_o be_v a_o fit_a resemblance_n of_o nature_n and_o grace_n which_o strive_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o regenerate_a man_n but_o remember_v this_o that_o sin_n be_v the_o elder_a of_o the_o twain_o before_o thou_o have_v the_o spirit_n thou_o have_v the_o flesh_n nature_n be_v the_o elder_a brother_n nay_o assoon_o as_o ever_o there_o be_v a_o union_n between_o the_o soul_n and_o body_n sin_n be_v in_o the_o soul_n nay_o not_o only_o before_o thou_o can_v act_v grace_n thou_o have_v sin_n but_o before_o thou_o can_v act_v reason_n i_o remember_v augustine_n have_v fight_v a_o pitch_a battle_n that_o army_n which_o first_o come_v to_o the_o field_n have_v much_o advantage_n against_o the_o other_o that_o come_v after_o into_o the_o field_n the_o flesh_n have_v get_v the_o sun_n and_o wind_n against_o we_o it_o have_v many_o advantage_n upon_o this_o consideration_n that_o it_o be_v first_o in_o thou_o and_o therefore_o be_v humble_v 2._o be_v humble_v on_o lily_n and_o rose_n so_o in_o every_o heart_n there_o be_v more_o of_o corrupt_a nature_n then_o of_o true_a grace_n sin_n grow_v natural_o but_o grace_n only_o by_o divine_a culture_n corruption_n be_v natural_a but_o grace_n be_v supernatural_a that_o of_o the_o apostle_n be_v observable_a to_o this_o purpose_n 6.19_o rom_n 6.19_o where_o he_o exhort_v we_o as_o we_o have_v yield_v our_o member_n to_o uncleanness_n and_o to_o iniquity_n unto_o iniquity_n so_o now_o to_o yield_v cur_n member_n servant_n to_o righteousness_n unto_o holiness_n divine_n gather_v hence_o that_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o sin_n make_v mention_n of_o three_o to_o his_o there_o be_v to_o uncleanness_n to_o iniquity_n and_o unto_o iniquity_n but_o when_o he_o speak_v of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n he_o mention_n but_o two_o to_o his_o to_o note_v that_o there_o be_v more_o abundance_n of_o sin_n in_o thou_o then_o grace_n ransack_v a_o believer_n in_o every_o faculty_n and_o in_o every_o
