regiment_n of_o the_o soul_n in_o a_o regenerate_a man_n where_o the_o law_n of_o grace_n in_o he_o and_o the_o spirit_n be_v not_o only_o opposite_a to_o sin_n and_o rebellious_a affection_n which_o will_v overthrow_v or_o at_o least_o trouble_n and_o disturb_v that_o government_n but_o be_v as_o a_o new_a fountain_n and_o wellspring_n of_o goodness_n in_o he_o fruitful_a in_o all_o goodness_n though_o it_o have_v no_o enemy_n to_o molest_v it_o hereby_o then_o may_v we_o also_o judge_v of_o ourselves_o whether_o we_o have_v put_v on_o christ_n or_o no_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o sanctification_n if_o we_o not_o only_o resist_v and_o repel_v sin_n not_o suffer_v it_o to_o reign_v in_o we_o but_o also_o have_v our_o will_n and_o affection_n renew_v to_o a_o like_n of_o goodness_n and_o of_o the_o contrary_a grace_n to_o those_o sin_n which_o we_o will_v subdue_v for_o natural_a conscience_n may_v restrain_v sin_n in_o we_o and_o keep_v it_o from_o break_v out_o show_v nothing_o but_o love_n and_o fair_a carriage_n even_o as_o we_o see_v it_o in_o esau_n his_o behaviour_n towards_o his_o brother_n jacob_n who_o overcome_v that_o malice_n which_o he_o inward_o conceive_v against_o he_o for_o the_o birthright_n and_o doubtless_o not_o without_o a_o great_a conflict_n in_o himself_o repress_v it_o upon_o carnal_a respect_n and_o consideration_n a_o man_n disposal_n of_o the_o birthright_n from_o he_o even_o as_o we_o now_o in_o like_a charity_n not_o know_v man_n heart_n commend_v and_o conceive_v well_o of_o their_o civil_a &_o harmless_a carriage_n and_o abstinence_n from_o evil_a whereunto_o perhaps_o often_o they_o be_v tempt_v and_o provoke_v yea_o but_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n where_o be_v their_o love_n &_o affection_n to_o the_o contrary_a virtue_n of_o true_a liberality_n patience_n chastity_n temperance_n etc._n etc._n esau_n repress_v the_o evil_a of_o hatred_n in_o he_o for_o the_o present_a but_o where_o be_v the_o contrary_a grace_n of_o true_a and_o sound_a love_n of_o his_o brother_n and_o so_o we_o may_v ask_v in_o the_o other_o and_o like_a particular_n but_o this_o holy_a spirit_n where_o it_o be_v beget_v the_o contrary_a grace_n in_o good_a measure_n and_o make_v we_o who_o be_v proud_a true_o humble_a and_o not_o only_o upon_o by_o respect_n to_o suppress_v pride_n but_o inward_o and_o sincere_o to_o love_v humility_n even_o for_o itself_o so_o it_o make_v we_o of_o angry_a meek_a of_o malicious_a love_a of_o unclean_a chaste_a of_o covetous_a liberal_a of_o profane_a true_o religious_a not_o upon_o sinister_a ground_n and_o motive_n to_o repress_v and_o suppress_v these_o evil_n which_o both_o natural_a conscience_n in_o we_o and_o man_n without_o we_o will_v condemn_v if_o they_o be_v manifest_a but_o upon_o a_o good_a like_n and_o true_a affection_n to_o the_o contrary_a grace_n to_o love_v desire_v and_o earnest_o to_o endeavour_v inward_o to_o have_v and_o outward_o to_o show_v
