on_o peremptory_o and_o stout_o six_o when_o a_o man_n by_o reason_n or_o scripture_n be_v so_o put_v to_o it_o that_o he_o must_v either_o renounce_v his_o error_n or_o fly_v from_o some_o of_o his_o own_o principle_n he_o will_v rather_o deny_v his_o principle_n then_o yield_v himself_o convince_v of_o his_o error_n this_o be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o the_o man_n speak_v of_o tit._n 3.11_o that_o be_v self-condemned_n and_o therefore_o aught_o to_o be_v reject_v quest_n quest_n but_o what_o may_v be_v do_v to_o such_o as_o persist_v in_o a_o error_n under_o the_o pretence_n of_o conscience_n he_o may_v be_v cut_v of_o from_o it_o also_o notwithstanding_o his_o plea_n of_o conscience_n three_o pretence_n of_o conscience_n can_v excuse_v a_o man_n in_o matter_n of_o apparent_a injustice_n do_v to_o another_o either_o in_o his_o state_n or_o good_n four_o a_o man_n may_v bring_v himself_o both_o under_o the_o civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a sword_n not_o only_o for_o sin_n injurious_a teach_v we_o that_o such_o may_v be_v cut_v off_o as_o strengthen_v other_o in_o soul-damning_a principle_n six_o in_o some_o case_n a_o private_a man_n himself_o may_v use_v violence_n to_o restrain_v man_n from_o evil_a if_o a_o man_n shall_v come_v to_o seduce_v my_o wife_n or_o child_n in_o a_o matter_n which_o i_o know_v will_v endanger_v their_o soul_n if_o i_o can_v have_v no_o help_n by_o the_o magistrate_n i_o may_v if_o i_o have_v power_n keep_v he_o off_o now_o what_o i_o may_v do_v by_o my_o own_o strength_n i_o may_v call_v in_o the_o help_n of_o the_o magistrate_n to_o do_v for_o i_o when_o there_o be_v a_o magistrate_n and_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o use_v his_o authority_n therein_o quest_n quest_n but_o what_o if_o error_n be_v of_o less_o moment_n can_v there_o be_v nothing_o do_v to_o man_n to_o restrain_v they_o from_o such_o answ_n answ_n yea_o such_o may_v be_v trouble_v for_o such_o way_n of_o evil_n that_o their_o conscience_n put_v they_o upon_o so_o far_o as_o to_o take_v off_o the_o wantonness_n of_o their_o spirit_n &_o their_o neglect_n of_o mean_n in_o time_n of_o liberty_n there_o be_v a_o great_a wantonness_n upon_o man_n spirit_n they_o be_v equal_o balance_v to_o receive_v truth_n or_o error_n and_o every_o little_a thing_n cast_v the_o balance_n as_o interest_n in_o a_o friend_n esteem_v from_o such_o man_n of_o repute_n etc._n etc._n now_o to_o help_v against_o such_o tentation_n if_o a_o erroneous_a person_n shall_v see_v that_o there_o be_v something_o to_o be_v suffer_v in_o that_o way_n it_o may_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o restrain_v he_o from_o embrace_v it_o quest_n quest_n suppose_v a_o man_n be_v not_o wanton_a but_o serious_a and_o neglect_v no_o mean_n to_o inform_v his_o conscience_n and_o yet_o he_o can_v yield_v what_o may_v be_v do_v to_o such_o a_o man_n answ_n answ_n he_o shall_v be_v deal_v with_o in_o much_o tenderness_n and_o love_n yet_o in_o such_o thing_n as_o by_o his_o weakness_n he_o make_v himselve_n less_o serviceable_a to_o the_o commonwealth_n or_o church_n than_o other_o man_n he_o may_v be_v deny_v some_o benefit_n and_o privilege_n which_o be_v grant_v unto_o other_o quest_n but_o by_o foment_v division_n quest_n those_o which_o be_v in_o authority_n may_v rule_v the_o people_n best_a the_o division_n of_o the_o time_n be_v their_o advantage_n and_o their_o end_n be_v best_a serve_v when_o church_n and_o state_n be_v most_o divide_v answ_n answ_n but_o let_v man_n that_o for_o such_o end_n love_v division_n consider_v that_o 1._o to_o maintain_v that_o which_o
