their_o mind_n wherefore_o let_v i_o exhort_v all_o such_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n to_o examine_v their_o own_o affection_n to_o enter_v into_o the_o closet_n of_o their_o own_o thought_n to_o cast_v down_o their_o presumptuous_a and_o peremptory_a judgement_n to_o leave_v the_o steal_v away_o of_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o people_n from_o their_o ordinary_a pastor_n by_o mislike_v of_o their_o lawful_a and_o tolerable_a do_n and_o let_v i_o in_o the_o bowel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n beseech_v they_o and_o by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n entreat_v they_o that_o when_o thing_n be_v not_o to_o their_o mind_n yea_o if_o there_o be_v blemish_n spot_v and_o wrinkle_n in_o the_o face_n of_o the_o church_n as_o there_o shall_v be_v to_o the_o end_n that_o with_o patience_n they_o will_v bear_v they_o as_o become_v saint_n with_o prayer_n they_o will_v seek_v to_o redress_v they_o that_o they_o speak_v not_o evil_a against_o such_o as_o in_o opinion_n vary_v from_o they_o that_o they_o pour_v not_o out_o the_o poison_n venom_n and_o rancour_n of_o their_o heart_n by_o condemn_v their_o brethren_n that_o they_o tear_v not_o in_o sunder_o the_o unseam_v coat_n of_o jesus_n christ_n by_o their_o bitter_a contend_v with_o backbiting_a and_o discredit_v of_o their_o fellow_n labourer_n and_o work_v fellow_n in_o the_o lord_n harvest_n but_o that_o they_o take_v singular_a heed_n and_o have_v special_a care_n to_o abandon_v and_o abolish_v this_o mischief_n of_o pride_n and_o to_o hold_v fast_o this_o exhortation_n of_o the_o apostle_n speak_v not_o evil_a one_o of_o another_o brethren_n 1_o reason_n of_o the_o precept_n 1_o and_o this_o evil_n he_o dissuade_v by_o four_o reason_n 1_o from_o the_o violate_v of_o god_n law_n which_o be_v break_v and_o violate_v of_o we_o when_o in_o the_o pride_n of_o our_o mind_n we_o condemn_v and_o speak_v evil_a of_o our_o brethren_n thereof_o saint_n james_n speak_v in_o this_o wise_a he_o that_o speak_v evil_a of_o his_o brother_n or_o condemn_v his_o brother_n speak_v evil_a of_o the_o law_n and_o condemn_v the_o law_n thus_o when_o we_o speak_v evil_a of_o our_o brethren_n and_o condemn_v they_o because_o they_o walk_v not_o after_o our_o will_n neither_o live_v according_a to_o our_o pleasure_n we_o be_v not_o only_o injurious_a to_o our_o brethren_n but_o we_o be_v injurious_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n whereof_o we_o speak_v evil_a and_o which_o we_o condemn_v in_o speak_v evil_a and_o condemn_v our_o brethren_n to_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o law_n and_o to_o condemn_v it_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n and_o great_a evil_a therefore_o must_v we_o not_o speak_v evil_a or_o condemn_v our_o brethren_n because_o thereby_o the_o law_n be_v evil_o speak_v of_o and_o condemn_v by_o us._n how_o do_v the_o law_n sustain_v injury_n in_o thus_o iniury_v brethren_n how_o speak_v we_o evil_a of_o the_o law_n when_o we_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o brethren_n of_o our_o brethren_n how_o be_v it_o violate_v how_o be_v it_o evil_n speak_v of_o and_o condemn_v when_o our_o brethren_n be_v evil_o speak_v of_o and_o condemn_v by_o we_o god_n law_n teach_v we_o not_o to_o condemn_v not_o to_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o brethren_n when_o notwithstanding_o this_o law_n we_o do_v and_o will_v speak_v evil_a and_o condemn_v our_o brethren_n then_o we_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o law_n and_o condemn_v it_o in_o effect_n because_o we_o will_v not_o be_v bridle_v thereby_o when_o we_o will_v not_o be_v restrain_v from_o proud_a and_o arrogant_a condemn_v nor_o withhold_v from_o speak_v evil_a of_o our_o brethren_n by_o this_o law_n of_o god_n when_o we_o violate_v and_o break_v this_o law_n and_o do_v contrary_a thereunto_o our_o deed_n speak_v even_o as_o it_o be_v of_o the_o law_n that_o it_o be_v not_o worthy_a that_o it_o be_v not_o good_a enough_o to_o be_v the_o bridle_n and_o rule_v of_o our_o life_n when_o this_o law_n say_v thou_o shall_v not_o slander_v or_o speak_v the_o action_n and_o practice_n of_o our_o life_n we_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o law_n and_o condemn_v it_o when_o we_o speak_v evil_a of_o our_o brethren_n and_o condemn_v they_o which_o thing_n the_o law_n forbid_v wherein_o it_o fare_v with_o the_o law_n of_o god_n as_o it_o often_o fare_v with_o the_o positive_a law_n of_o prince_n for_o when_o positive_a and_o civil_a law_n and_o statute_n be_v make_v by_o prince_n in_o their_o common_a wealth_n for_o the_o government_n and_o order_n of_o the_o manner_n of_o man_n and_o man_n infringe_v break_v and_o violate_v they_o neither_o will_v resour_n i_o their_o manner_n according_a to_o the_o prescript_n thereof_o do_v not_o they_o

of_o condition_n &_o unworthines_n to_o so_o great_a a_o thing_n which_o take_v upon_o they_o to_o judge_v their_o brethren_n wherein_o he_o right_o allude_v to_o the_o common_a speech_n of_o man_n who_o see_v a_o proud_a person_n take_v too_o much_o upon_o he_o and_o arrogate_a great_a matter_n unto_o himself_o to_o teach_v he_o his_o gross_a folly_n and_o to_o tell_v he_o of_o his_o when_o the_o peacock_n behold_v his_o tail_n beset_v with_o such_o variety_n of_o beautiful_a colour_n then_o he_o swell_v in_o pride_n contemn_v and_o condemn_v all_o other_o bird_n in_o comparison_n of_o himself_o but_o when_o he_o look_v upon_o his_o black_a foot_n and_o vew_v the_o deformity_n thereof_o his_o comb_n be_v something_o cut_v and_o his_o courage_n abate_v so_o when_o we_o lift_v up_o our_o eye_n to_o the_o grace_n and_o gift_n of_o god_n bestow_v upon_o we_o then_o we_o wax_v proud_a and_o insolent_a but_o when_o we_o cast_v our_o eye_n down_o upon_o the_o manifold_a infirmity_n whereunto_o we_o be_v subject_a then_o be_v our_o pride_n abate_v &_o our_o insolency_n of_o spirit_n diminish_v and_o we_o make_v more_o moderate_a and_o temperate_a in_o judge_v of_o
