peter_n one_o of_o the_o apostle_n of_o christ_n begin_v to_o rebuke_v christ_n tell_v he_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v far_o from_o he_o to_o go_v to_o jerusalem_n to_o suffer_v many_o thing_n of_o the_o elder_n and_o chief_a priest_n and_o scribe_n and_o be_v kill_v and_o be_v raise_v again_o the_o three_o day_n say_v these_o thing_n shall_v not_o be_v unto_o thou_o now_o this_o his_o speech_n be_v so_o contrary_a to_o what_o christ_n come_v into_o the_o world_n for_o and_o also_o in_o that_o act_n he_o be_v such_o a_o adversary_n to_o all_o those_o that_o christ_n come_v to_o die_v for_o as_o well_o to_o himself_o as_o to_o other_o christ_n turn_v and_o say_v unto_o he_o get_v thou_o behind_o i_o satan_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v get_v thou_o behind_o i_o my_o adversary_n thou_o be_v a_o adversary_n to_o i_o and_o a_o adversary_n to_o thyself_o and_o to_o all_o my_o people_n in_o what_o thou_o have_v do_v thou_o be_v antichrist_n to_o purpose_n now_o concern_v these_o three_o particular_n i_o shall_v not_o so_o much_o at_o present_a mind_n the_o first_o and_o second_o because_o this_o book_n be_v dedicate_v to_o the_o son_n and_o child_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v rather_o endeavour_v to_o make_v some_o improvement_n of_o it_o by_o way_n of_o use_n to_o they_o and_o for_o that_o i_o shall_v consider_v the_o case_n of_o peter_n and_o therein_o shall_v first_o mind_n what_o he_o rebuke_n christ_n for_o and_o what_o he_o persuade_v he_o from_o 2._o what_o the_o tendancie_n of_o his_o rebuke_n and_o persuasion_n be_v 3._o christ_n answer_n unto_o peter_n upon_o the_o whole_a 1._o that_o which_o peter_n do_v rebuke_v christ_n for_o be_v this_o because_o that_o christ_n tell_v he_o he_o must_v suffer_v death_n and_o rise_v again_o according_a to_o that_o in_o the_o 24_o of_o luke_n and_o 46._o that_o it_o do_v behoove_v christ_n to_o suffer_v and_o to_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a the_o three_o day_n but_o peter_n tell_v he_o this_o shall_v not_o be_v unto_o thou_o lord_n be_v it_o far_o from_o thou_o but_o now_o in_o the_o second_o place_n i_o shall_v observe_v the_o tendancy_n of_o peter_n speech_n 1._o it_o do_v tend_v to_o hinder_v christ_n from_o do_v and_o suffer_v that_o which_o the_o father_n have_v appoint_v he_o to_o 10._o neb._n 10.5.6_o 7_o 10._o for_o the_o father_n have_v appoint_v and_o prepare_v christ_n a_o body_n that_o he_o may_v offer_v it_o up_o as_o a_o sacrifice_n once_o for_o all_o 2._o his_o rebuke_n and_o persuasion_n do_v tend_v to_o the_o ruin_n of_o all_o person_n 5.10_o rom._n person_n for_o and_o persuade_v they_o from_o that_o which_o be_v according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o beneficial_a to_o his_o people_n thus_o you_o see_v peter_n do_v to_o christ_n and_o he_o rebuke_v he_o say_v be_v it_o far_o from_o thou_o lord_n this_o shall_v not_o be_v unto_o thou_o 2._o we_o may_v also_o note_v that_o christ_n do_v declare_v that_o those_o that_o do_v rebuke_v any_o person_n for_o do_v what_o god_n have_v appoint_v or_o persuade_v they_o from_o it_o that_o they_o be_v satan_n or_o antichrist_n and_o in_o that_o act_n adversary_n to_o he_o thus_o you_o see_v christ_n do_v to_o peter_n get_v thou_o behind_o i_o satan_n 3._o we_o may_v further_o observe_v that_o when_o any_o shall_v rebuke_v a_o person_n for_o do_v what_o god_n have_v appoint_v that_o christ_n be_v much_o offend_v at_o it_o for_o so_o he_o tell_v peter_n thou_o be_v a_o offence_n unto_o i_o 4._o and_o in_o the_o four_o place_n we_o may_v observe_v that_o when_o any_o person_n shall_v rebuke_v for_o or_o persuade_v a_o soul_n from_o any_o thing_n that_o god_n have_v appoint_v and_o that_o wherein_o he_o may_v be_v serviceable_a to_o other_o it_o be_v because_o they_o savour_v of_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o man_n and_o not_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o god_n now_o from_o what_o have_v be_v speak_v and_o observe_v concern_v peter_n case_n there_o may_v be_v divers_a use_n draw_v as_o first_o 1._o to_o examine_v whether_o there_o be_v none_o in_o these_o day_n that_o do_v also_o do_v i_o fear_v upon_o strict_a examination_n that_o there_o will_v be_v some_o find_v that_o do_v not_o only_o rebuke_v but_o persecute_v also_o rebuke_v person_n for_o do_v what_o god_n have_v appoint_v and_o persuade_v they_o from_o that_o wherein_o they_o may_v be_v serviceable_a to_o other_o 2._o it_o may_v be_v of_o use_n to_o inform_v all_o that_o do_v so_o as_o aforesaid_a that_o in_o such_o act_n christ_n give_v they_o the_o name_n of_o satan_n antichrist_n or_o adversary_n against_o he_o and_o his_o people_n 3._o it_o may_v serve_v to_o reprove_v all_o those_o that_o have_v or_o do_v rebuke_v any_o person_n as_o aforesaid_a as_o do_v appear_v by_o the_o word_n of_o christ_n to_o peter_n get_v thou_o behind_o i_o satan_n thou_o be_v a_o offence_n unto_o i_o 4._o it_o may_v serve_v by_o way_n of_o caution_n to_o those_o that_o have_v so_o do_v that_o they_o take_v heed_n they_o do_v so_o no_o more_o thus_o i_o have_v give_v some_o hint_n of_o what_o use_n may_v be_v make_v of_o the_o particular_n before_o mention_v but_o i_o shall_v not_o enlarge_v upon_o they_o but_o leave_v the_o judicious_a reader_n to_o enlarge_v they_o in_o his_o private_a meditation_n and_o i_o may_v come_v in_o the_o next_o place_n to_o show_v that_o every_o lust_n and_o corruption_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v antichrist_n although_o it_o be_v not_o bring_v into_o word_n nor_o action_n because_o it_o be_v contrary_a to_o christ_n and_o a_o
