these_o sign_n have_v you_o ever_o conversion_n such_o and_o so_o much_o grief_n for_o sin_n that_o it_o make_v you_o to_o dislike_v sin_n and_o to_o dislike_v yourself_o for_o it_o and_o to_o be_v weary_a and_o heavy_a lade_v with_o it_o so_o as_o to_o make_v you_o hearty_o confess_v your_o sin_n unto_o god_n and_o to_o ask_v of_o he_o mercy_n and_o forgiveness_n have_v it_o make_v you_o to_o look_v better_o to_o your_o way_n and_o more_o careful_a to_o please_v god_n then_o be_v sure_a it_o be_v a_o competent_a and_o sufficient_a grief_n because_o it_o be_v a_o godly_a 10_o sorrow_n to_o repentance_n never_o to_o be_v repent_v of_o again_o be_v you_o now_o grieve_v and_o trouble_v when_o you_o fall_v into_o particular_a sin_n then_o you_o may_v be_v certain_a that_o there_o be_v a_o time_n when_o you_o be_v sufficient_o grieve_v and_o humble_v in_o your_o conversion_n for_o this_o latter_a grief_n be_v but_o put_v that_o grief_n into_o further_a act_n whereof_o you_o receive_v a_o habit_n in_o your_o first_o conversion_n if_o you_o can_v for_o the_o present_a find_v any_o proof_n of_o conversion_n it_o shall_v not_o trouble_v you_o though_o you_o know_v not_o when_o or_o by_o who_o or_o how_o you_o be_v convert_v any_o more_o than_o thus_o that_o you_o know_v that_o god_n have_v wrought_v it_o by_o his_o word_n and_o spirit_n when_o any_o field_n bring_v forth_o a_o crop_n of_o good_a corn_n this_o prove_v that_o it_o be_v sufficient_o plough_v for_o god_n do_v never_o sow_v until_o the_o fallow_a ground_n of_o man_n heart_n be_v sufficient_o break_v up_o now_o as_o for_o those_o of_o you_o which_o torment_n remember_v that_o you_o have_v have_v terror_n of_o conscience_n and_o it_o may_v be_v ever_o and_o anon_o feel_v they_o still_o who_o fear_v that_o these_o be_v not_o beginning_n of_o conversion_n but_o rather_o beginning_n of_o desperation_n and_o hellish_a torment_n you_o shall_v know_v that_o there_o be_v great_a difference_n between_o these_o and_o those_o those_o fear_n and_o horror_n which_o be_v only_a flash_n and_o beginning_n of_o hellish_a torment_n be_v wrought_v only_o by_o the_o law_n and_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n give_v not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o secret_a hope_n of_o salvation_n but_o those_o fear_n which_o make_v way_n unto_o and_o which_o be_v the_o beginning_n of_o conversion_n be_v indeed_o first_o wrought_v by_o the_o law_n also_o yet_o not_o only_o for_o the_o gospel_n have_v at_o last_o some_o stroke_n in_o they_o partly_o to_o melt_v the_o heart_n break_v by_o the_o law_n partly_o to_o support_v the_o heart_n cause_v it_o by_o some_o little_a glimpse_n of_o light_n to_o conceive_v possibility_n of_o remedy_n compare_v the_o terror_n of_o cain_n and_o judas_n with_o those_o of_o the_o man_n prick_v at_o peter_n sermon_n with_o s._n paul_n and_o the_o jailor_n and_o you_o shall_v see_v both_o this_o and_o the_o follow_a difference_n 2._o the_o former_a terror_n and_o trouble_n be_v cause_v either_o only_a for_o fear_v of_o hell_n and_o fierce_a wrath_n of_o god_n but_o not_o for_o sin_n or_o if_o at_o all_o for_o sin_n it_o be_v only_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o punishment_n these_o tend_v to_o conversion_n be_v also_o cause_v through_o fear_n of_o hell_n but_o not_o only_o the_o heart_n of_o one_o thus_o trouble_v ache_v because_o of_o his_o fin_n and_o that_o not_o only_o because_o it_o deserve_v hell_n but_o because_o by_o it_o he_o have_v offend_v and_o dishonour_v god_n 3._o those_o who_o be_v trouble_v in_o the_o first_o sort_n do_v continue_v headstrong_a and_o obstinate_a retain_v their_o wont_a hatred_n against_o god_n and_o against_o such_o as_o fear_v god_n as_o also_o their_o love_n to_o wickedness_n only_o it_o may_v be_v they_o smother_v and_o bite_v in_o their_o rancour_n through_o the_o spirit_n of_o restraint_n that_o for_o the_o time_n it_o do_v not_o appear_v but_o in_o the_o other_o will_v appear_v some_o alteration_n towards_o goodness_n as_o whatsoever_o their_o opinion_n and_o speech_n be_v of_o god_n people_n before_o now_o they_o begin_v to_o think_v better_o of_o they_o &_o of_o their_o way_n so_o do_v they_o in_o the_o act_n before_o they_o be_v prick_v at_o heart_n they_o do_v 13_o scoff_n at_o the_o apostle_n and_o deride_v god_n gift_n in_o they_o but_o afterward_o say_v 37._o man_n and_o brethren_n they_o conceive_v reverent_o of_o they_o and_o speak_v reverent_o to_o they_o see_v the_o like_a in_o 6._o paul_n in_o his_o readiness_n to_o do_v whatsoever_o christ_n shall_v enjoin_v he_o the_o 33._o jailor_n also_o in_o christ_n be_v apply_v together_o with_o god_n promise_n of_o forgiveness_n to_o he_o that_o believe_v and_o a_o commandment_n to_o believe_v all_o this_o be_v apply_v to_o take_v away_o the_o guilt_n and_o punishment_n of_o sin_n second_o they_o be_v trouble_v for_o sin_n whereby_o they_o have_v dishonour_v and_o displease_v god_n now_o unless_o also_o they_o feel_v in_o some_o measure_n the_o yourselves_o against_o blasphemous_a and_o vile_a thought_n and_o temptation_n in_o the_o second_o place_n when_o you_o be_v thus_o arm_v whensoever_o these_o blasphemous_a and_o fearful_a thought_n according_a to_o christ_n example_n with_o 7_o it_o be_v write_v now_o when_o you_o have_v do_v all_o this_o than_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a think_v on_o they_o no_o more_o three_o endeavour_v at_o all_o time_n to_o make_v conscience_n in_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o your_o life_n of_o your_o thought_n even_o of_o the_o least_o thought_n of_o evil_a yea_o of_o all_o thought_n and_o this_o will_v be_v a_o good_a mean_n to_o keep_v out_o all_o evil_a thought_n if_o it_o can_v prevail_v thus_o far_o yet_o you_o shall_v have_v this_o benefit_n by_o it_o when_o your_o heart_n can_v tell_v you_o that_o you_o will_v in_o every_o thing_n please_v god_n and_o that_o you_o make_v conscience_n of_o less_o sinful_a thought_n than_o those_o vile_a one_o with_o which_o you_o be_v trouble_v then_o you_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o you_o may_v be_v and_o be_v god_n child_n and_o be_v sanctify_v notwithstanding_o those_o blasphemous_a thought_n and_o devilish_a temptation_n again_o some_o doubt_n they_o be_v not_o sanctify_v because_o they_o have_v remove_v fall_v into_o some_o of_o those_o gross_a sin_n yea_o it_o may_v be_v into_o worse_a than_o those_o which_o they_o commit_v in_o their_o state_n of_o unregeneracie_n i_o answer_v such_o you_o be_v in_o very_o ill_a case_n if_o you_o do_v not_o belie_v answ_n yourselves_o and_o if_o so_o you_o be_v in_o ill_a case_n because_o
