jesus_n christ_n come_v into_o the_o world_n to_o save_v the_o chief_a of_o sinner_n sinner_n of_o who_o every_o one_o may_v say_v i_o be_o chief_a now_o when_o faith_n act_v upon_o this_o truth_n jesus_n christ_n come_v to_o save_v sinner_n of_o who_o i_o be_o chief_a and_o so_o that_o he_o shed_v his_o blood_n for_o sinner_n and_o give_v himself_o a_o sacrifice_n and_o a_o atonement_n all_o these_o be_v truth_n proper_o within_o faith_n and_o christ_n and_o when_o the_o soul_n be_v upon_o they_o it_o be_v at_o home_n with_o itself_o and_o faith_n be_v also_o at_o home_n with_o christ_n and_o with_o the_o soul_n in_o they_o but_o now_o here_o be_v another_o great_a truth_n that_o whoever_o it_o be_v that_o do_v not_o cut_v off_o his_o right_a hand_n or_o pull_v out_o his_o right_a eye_n and_o cut_v off_o his_o right_a foot_n he_o shall_v be_v cast_v into_o hell_n where_o their_o worm_n die_v not_o and_o their_o fire_n be_v not_o quench_v now_o this_o be_v a_o great_a truth_n desire_v it_o may_v be_v careful_o remember_v that_o no_o one_o may_v any_o way_n take_v offence_n or_o mention_v what_o i_o say_v to_o give_v offence_n i_o say_v that_o that_o truth_n that_o a_o man_n that_o do_v not_o cut_v off_o his_o hand_n or_o pluck_v out_o his_o right_a eye_n which_o mean_v any_o lust_n shall_v be_v cast_v into_o hell_n be_v never_o separate_v from_o true_a justify_v faith_n but_o i_o say_v again_o that_o faith_n act_v upon_o that_o truth_n do_v not_o justify_v but_o act_v upon_o the_o great_a truth_n wherein_o jesus_n christ_n be_v hold_v forth_o as_o a_o sacrifice_n a_o propitiation_n a_o mediator_n a_o intercessor_n and_o redeemer_n but_o yet_o this_o be_v certain_o true_a that_o the_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n give_v a_o mighty_a power_n to_o justify_v and_o shall_v glory_n and_o jehovah_n be_v our_o righteousness_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n now_o i_o say_v that_o which_o be_v infinite_o above_o faith_n as_o we_o will_v all_o grant_v god_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n christ_n and_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v far_o above_o faith_n why_o then_o though_o sometime_o we_o be_v say_v to_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n and_o the_o faith_n by_o which_o we_o be_v justify_v be_v say_v to_o have_v work_n yet_o certain_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n must_v infinite_o take_v place_n of_o these_o because_o they_o be_v so_o far_o above_o in_o the_o transcendency_n and_o infiniteness_n of_o their_o own_o nature_n so_o that_o it_o can_v never_o be_v that_o the_o righteousness_n of_o 11_o chapter_n to_o the_o hebrew_n make_v evident_a as_o well_o as_o the_o 2d_o of_o james_n therefore_o i_o wonder_v that_o man_n look_v so_o disproportionable_o the_o great_a thing_n there_o ascribe_v to_o faith_n all_o along_o in_o the_o 11_o the_o of_o heb._n make_v out_o the_o very_a same_o thing_n so_o that_o the_o apostle_n james_n do_v not_o contradict_v the_o apostle_n paul_n nor_o the_o apostle_n paul_n the_o apostle_n james_n both_o of_o they_o speak_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o i_o
say_v faith_n indeed_o be_v of_o great_a holiness_n and_o of_o great_a operation_n but_o it_o take_v hold_v of_o christ_n only_o by_o way_n of_o receipt_n and_o dependence_n and_o so_o we_o be_v alone_o justify_v by_o it_o i_o will_v fain_o clear_v one_o particular_a more_o that_o you_o may_v be_v very_o absolute_a in_o this_o great_a point_n wherein_o the_o excellency_n of_o faith_n lie_v himself_o that_o it_o cause_v the_o soul_n by_o faith_n to_o twist_v about_o he_o he_o draw_v out_o himself_o so_o to_o it_o that_o by_o faith_n it_o return_v with_o such_o a_o twist_n of_o the_o touch_n of_o his_o love_n and_o grace_n upon_o we_o and_o we_o come_v to_o know_v and_o find_v the_o sweetness_n to_o taste_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v gracious_a and_o to_o know_v what_o a_o pearl_n excellent_a act_n of_o the_o father_n son_n and_o spirit_n they_o go_v out_o of_o themselves_o so_o faith_n go_v out_o to_o all_o the_o work_n of_o obedience_n and_o therefore_o if_o you_o will_v know_v what_o faith_n be_v when_o it_o work_v outward_a i_o will_v propose_v to_o you_o to_o read_v that_o chapter_n heb._n 11._o how_o great_o faith_n work_v outward_a but_o christ_n still_o be_v the_o author_n and_o finisher_n and_o when_o it_o come_v to_o christ_n it_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v but_o to_o trust_v and_o depend_v and_o receive_v and_o o_o therefore_o let_v we_o all_o bow_n our_o knee_n unto_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n that_o he_o will_v grant_v we_o according_a to_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o glory_n to_o be_v strengthen_v with_o might_n by_o his_o spirit_n in_o the_o inner_a man_n we_o can_v never_o have_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o faith_n if_o the_o riches_n of_o glory_n do_v not_o come_v in_o with_o it_o and_o if_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n do_v not_o come_v in_o with_o it_o and_o indeed_o where_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n come_v he_o come_v and_o so_o christ_n and_o the_o spirit_n elicit_v as_o they_o call_v it_o and_o draw_v and_o bring_v the_o soul_n to_o clasp_v about_o he_o to_o lay_v hold_n upon_o he_o he_o bring_v the_o soul_n thus_o near_o to_o
