or_o which_o at_o any_o time_n ask_v any_o thing_n of_o the_o lord_n which_o be_v not_o give_v he_o for_o how_o many_o soever_o go_v unto_o he_o that_o be_v blind_a deaf_a lame_a sick_a of_o the_o palsy_n have_v the_o dropsy_n he_o receive_v all_o and_o help_v they_o all_o according_a to_o their_o desire_n and_o heal_v they_o of_o all_o kind_n of_o disease_n 6.19_o luke_n 6.19_o as_o luke_n be_v to_o be_v ascribe_v unto_o he_o as_o to_o the_o true_a lord_n neither_o must_v we_o glory_v one_o whit_n in_o the_o good_a thing_n receive_v but_o his_o glory_n be_v to_o be_v seek_v in_o they_o and_o if_o he_o take_v they_o from_o we_o again_o we_o ought_v to_o suffer_v he_o with_o quiet_a mind_n and_o to_o bless_v he_o with_o the_o belove_a job_n in_o these_o word_n 1.21_o job._n 1.21_o we_o unless_o he_o take_v away_o christ_n from_o us._n not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o hear_v of_o our_o head_n shall_v perish_v as_o christ_n say_v to_o his_o disciple_n luke_n 21._o wherefore_o whatsoever_o shall_v molest_v we_o what_o adversity_n soever_o shall_v come_v unto_o we_o we_o ought_v never_o to_o seek_v any_o other_o god_n we_o ought_v no_o where_o to_o seek_v any_o other_o be_v burn_v for_o ever_o for_o that_o they_o have_v not_o beleve_v and_o trust_v in_o christ_n signify_v myrrh_n what_o it_o signify_v by_o myrrh_n they_o signify_v a_o mortal_a man_n for_o with_o myrrh_n dead_a body_n be_v anoint_v that_o for_o certain_a year_n they_o shall_v not_o putrify_v now_o myrrh_n be_v a_o strong_a and_o bitter_a ivice_n which_o distil_v from_o the_o tree_n of_o arabia_n like_v unto_o gum_n or_o as_o with_o we_o rosin_n issue_v out_o of_o the_o pine_n tree_n the_o fir_n tree_n etc._n etc._n but_o then_o we_o offer_v myrrh_n unto_o christ_n christ_n when_o we_o offer_v myrrh_n unto_o christ_n when_o we_o firm_o believe_v that_o he_o by_o his_o death_n have_v overcome_v sin_n satan_n and_o hell_n and_o this_o be_v a_o special_a faith_n if_o we_o do_v but_o a_o little_a doubt_n here_o it_o be_v not_o well_o with_o us._n but_o if_o i_o believe_v from_o my_o hart_n that_o death_n sin_n the_o devil_n and_o hell_n be_v swallow_v up_o in_o and_o by_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n i_o shall_v not_o be_v afraid_a of_o they_o all_o i_o shall_v easy_o be_v preserve_v from_o rottenness_n which_o death_n bring_v when_o i_o have_v myrrh_n that_o be_v the_o death_n of_o my_o lord_n christ_n in_o my_o body_n and_o soul_n this_o will_v not_o suffer_v i_o to_o perish_v so_o strong_a and_o valiant_a a_o thing_n be_v faith_n unto_o which_o even_o all_o thing_n be_v possible_a as_o christ_n say_v mar._n 9_o here_o must_v we_o learn_v daily_o with_o our_o lord_n christ_n to_o bring_v under_o our_o old_a adam_n and_o to_o mortify_v his_o concupiscence_n by_o the_o cross_n and_o tentation_n not_o that_o cross_n which_o we_o do_v choose_v but_o which_o christ_n lay_v on_o we_o let_v we_o bear_v it_o patient_o and_o with_o a_o willing_a mind_n that_o so_o our_o body_n may_v be_v subdue_v and_o make_v subject_a to_o the_o spirit_n that_o be_v so_o bury_v with_o christ_n through_o baptism_n we_o may_v be_v raise_v up_o again_o with_o he_o and_o he_o alone_o may_v reign_v and_o live_v in_o us._n hereunto_o vehement_a sigh_v be_v require_v which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v make_v in_o we_o for_o our_o sake_n as_o paul_n say_v rom._n 8._o that_o christ_n will_v help_v we_o to_o keep_v under_o this_o unruly_a and_o obstinate_a flesh_n that_o it_o presume_v not_o too_o licentious_o &_o thrust_v the_o noble_a soul_n into_o the_o through_o the_o cogitation_n of_o baptism_n as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o house_n decay_v through_o oldnes_n even_o until_o such_o time_n as_o we_o depart_v this_o life_n whereof_o s._n paul_n entreat_v they_o no_o man_n shall_v believe_v so_o great_a thing_n but_o he_o shall_v receive_v great_a forasmuch_o as_o those_o good_a thing_n which_o god_n have_v give_v be_v so_o great_a and_o so_o unspeakable_a he_o will_v have_v they_o here_o come_v unto_o we_o be_v include_v and_o hide_v in_o his_o word_n and_o faith_n for_o the_o nature_n of_o our_o present_a life_n can_v not_o bear_v they_o in_o outward_a appearance_n let_v they_o even_o raise_v the_o dead_a if_o faith_n in_o christ_n be_v absent_a whereof_o we_o have_v now_o speak_v so_o much_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v to_o no_o purpose_n these_o most_o false_a show_n do_v as_o yet_o deceive_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o seduce_v almost_o every_o one_o they_o make_v the_o gospel_n obscure_a and_o extinguish_v the_o faith_n of_o christ_n all_o their_o work_n and_o order_n although_o they_o appear_v goodly_a and_o they_o think_v they_o to_o have_v merit_v never_o so_o much_o do_v avail_v no_o more_o unto_o salvation_n than_o the_o work_n of_o beast_n or_o of_o artificer_n whereby_o they_o do_v maintain_v themselves_o and_o they_o yea_o they_o do_v most_o hurtful_o hinder_v it_o therefore_o that_o i_o may_v conclude_v take_v heed_n as_o much_o as_o thou_o be_v able_a of_o these_o wolf_n which_o under_o a_o fair_a pretence_n counterfeit_v themselves_o sheep_n and_o learn_v and_o accustom_v thyself_o with_o a_o sound_a faith_n to_o cleave_v unto_o christ_n alone_o a_o sermon_n of_o d._n martin_n luther_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god._n forasmuch_o as_o there_o be_v often_o mention_v make_v in_o the_o new_a testament_n of_o these_o word_n the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n and_o it_o be_v very_o profitable_a and_o expedient_a for_o a_o else_o but_o forgiveness_n and_o take_v away_o of_o sin_n by_o which_o conscience_n be_v defile_v trouble_a and_o disquiet_v similitude_n a_o similitude_n for_o even_o as_o a_o worldly_a and_o temporal_a kingdom_n be_v ordain_v to_o this_o end_n that_o man_n may_v live_v quiet_o &_o peaceable_o one_o with_o a_o other_o so_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n give_v these_o thing_n spiritual_o and_o destroy_v the_o kingdom_n of_o sin_n and_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o abolish_n and_o pardon_v of_o offence_n god_n reign_v in_o the_o heart_n inasmuch_o as_o he_o work_v in_o they_o by_o his_o word_n peace_n quietness_n and_o consolation_n even_o as_o sin_n work_v the_o contrary_a namely_o unquietnes_n anguish_n and_o all_o kind_n of_o evil_n herein_o god_n show_v his_o majesty_n and_o grace_n in_o this_o life_n that_o he_o take_v away_o and_o pardon_v man_n sin_n and_o this_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o grace_n now_o when_o as_o sin_v with_o his_o guard_n that_o be_v satan_n death_n and_o hell_n shall_v trouble_v man_n no_o more_o then_o at_o the_o last_o the_o kingdom_n of_o glory_n and_o absolute_a felicity_n shall_v be_v gospel_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v govern_v not_o by_o the_o law_n but_o by_o the_o gospel_n hereupon_o it_o follow_v first_o that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v rule_v or_o govern_v by_o no_o law_n no_o not_o by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n much_o this_o office_n wherein_o god_n have_v place_v i_o and_o the_o word_n command_v he_o that_o bear_v rule_v to_o be_v careful_a it_o be_v meet_v that_o i_o do_v execute_v the_o same_o with_o all_o faithfulness_n and_o diligence_n to_o the_o praise_n and_o glory_n of_o my_o god_n the_o execution_n of_o the_o office_n of_o such_o a_o ruler_n endue_v with_o such_o a_o mind_n come_v out_o of_o a_o pure_a and_o sincere_a hart_n wherewith_o both_o god_n and_o good_a man_n be_v delight_v there_o be_v moreover_o in_o he_o love_n which_o do_v not_o cleave_v to_o the_o person_n or_o outward_a thing_n but_o begin_v in_o the_o hart_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n make_v manifest_a which_o forasmuch_o as_o it_o be_v pure_a &_o clean_a do_v also_o purify_v the_o hart_n and_o so_o his_o government_n as_o understand_v or_o think_v any_o thing_n thereof_o or_o how_o love_n be_v to_o be_v derive_v to_o all_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o man_n according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n thus_o must_v thou_o say_v moreover_o even_o in_o spiritual_a office_n &_o state_n also_o if_o i_o or_o any_o other_o shall_v preach_v to_o get_v some_o good_a benefice_n whereas_o otherwise_o i_o will_v easy_o cease_v from_o do_v this_o office_n i_o may_v preach_v the_o gospel_n but_o my_o hart_n be_v not_o pure_a but_o most_o plain_o pollute_v therefore_o although_o i_o do_v long_o and_o much_o affirm_v yet_o this_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v the_o chief_a end_n thereof_o but_o because_o god_n have_v call_v i_o unto_o it_o and_o have_v commit_v it_o unto_o i_o diligent_o to_o be_v do_v it_o remain_v that_o i_o do_v with_o all_o diligence_n labour_v therein_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o salvation_n of_o soul_n which_o i_o do_v otherwise_o also_o for_o the_o love_n of_o the_o word_n willing_o and_o from_o my_o hart_n hereby_o i_o seek_v neither_o love_n or_o friendship_n nor_o honour_n nor_o thankfulness_n of_o man_n but_o my_o work_n come_v from_o the_o hart_n which_o i_o and_o not_o the_o body_n destroy_v wherefore_o there_o ought_v to_o be_v no_o other_o use_n among_o christian_n of_o fasting_n watch_n and_o labour_n as_o it_o be_v all_o one_o before_o god_n whether_o thou_o eat_v fish_n or_o flesh_n whether_o thou_o drink_v wine_n or_o water_n whether_o thou_o wear_v red_a or_o green_a garment_n all_o these_o be_v the_o good_a creature_n of_o god_n make_v unto_o this_o end_n that_o we_o may_v use_v they_o have_v regard_n only_o to_o this_o that_o thou_o may_v use_v they_o with_o a_o mean_a and_o may_v abstain_v thyself_o so_o much_o from_o servant_n as_o master_n small_a as_o great_a poor_a as_o rich_a stranger_n as_o they_o at_o home_n towards_o they_o that_o we_o know_v not_o as_o towards_o they_o with_o who_o we_o be_v familiar_a for_o there_o be_v some_o which_o behave_v themselves_o very_o gentle_o and_o patient_o towards_o stranger_n but_o towards_o they_o that_o be_v in_o the_o house_n with_o they_o or_o with_o who_o they_o always_o keep_v company_n there_o be_v none_o more_o obstinate_a or_o froward_a than_o they_o and_o how_o many_o be_v there_o enemy_n the_o most_o part_n be_v ready_a to_o make_v their_o patient_a mind_n know_v to_o the_o rich_a and_o their_o friend_n but_o not_o to_o the_o poor_a and_o their_o enemy_n which_o at_o great_a and_o rich_a man_n hand_n take_v all_o thing_n in_o good_a part_n interpret_v every_o thing_n at_o the_o best_a and_o most_o gentle_o bear_v whatsoever_o they_o say_v or_o do_v but_o towards_o the_o poor_a and_o abject_n they_o show_v no_o gentleness_n or_o meekness_n neither_o take_v any_o thing_n of_o they_o in_o good_a part_n so_o we_o be_v all_o ready_a to_o do_v for_o our_o child_n parent_n friend_n &_o kinsman_n and_o most_o favourable_o interpret_v and_o willing_o bear_v whatsoever_o they_o have_v commit_v how_o often_o do_v we_o even_o praise_v the_o manifest_a vice_n of_o our_o friend_n or_o at_o the_o least_o wink_n at_o they_o and_o apply_v ourselves_o most_o fit_o unto_o they_o but_o to_o our_o enemy_n &_o adversary_n we_o impart_v none_o of_o this_o favour_n in_o they_o we_o can_v find_v nothing_o that_o be_v good_a nothing_o that_o be_v to_o be_v bear_v nothing_o that_o can_v be_v interpret_v in_o the_o better_a part_n but_o we_o dispraise_n every_o thing_n &_o take_v it_o at_o the_o worst_a against_o such_o part_a and_o unperfect_a patient_a mind_n paul_n here_o speak_v say_v let_v your_o patient_a mind_n be_v know_v unto_o all_o man_n he_o will_v have_v our_o patient_a mind_n and_o right_a christian_a meekness_n to_o be_v perfect_a and_o entire_a towards_o all_o whether_o they_o be_v enemy_n or_o friend_n he_o will_v have_v we_o suffer_v and_o take_v in_o good_a part_n all_o thing_n of_o all_o man_n without_o all_o respect_n either_o of_o person_n or_o desert_n and_o such_o without_o doubt_n will_v our_o patient_a mind_n be_v if_o it_o be_v true_a and_o not_o counterfeit_a no_o otherwise_o then_o gold_n remain_v gold_n whether_o a_o godly_a or_o ungodly_a man_n possess_v it_o and_o the_o silver_n which_o judas_n who_o betray_v the_o lord_n have_v be_v not_o turn_v into_o ash_n but_o and_o it_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v patient_a and_o pliant_a towards_o scotfree_a man_n great_a personage_n stranger_n friend_n and_o not_o towards_o every_o one_o wherefore_o it_o be_v false_a vain_a lie_v hypocritical_a and_o nothing_o but_o deceit_n and_o mockery_n before_o god_n hereof_o now_o learn_v how_o unpossible_a sound_n and_o entire_a that_o be_v spiritual_a meekness_n and_o a_o patient_a mind_n be_v unto_o nature_n and_o how_o few_o there_o be_v which_o mark_v this_o evell_a by_o reason_n of_o that_o deceitful_a meekness_n and_o patient_a mind_n though_o in_o outward_a also_o bear_v with_o a_o most_o patient_a mind_n the_o offence_n and_o malice_n of_o other_o where_o such_o a_o mind_n be_v there_o be_v also_o love_n joy_n peace_n long_o suffer_v gentleness_n goodness_n &_o what_o soever_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n gal._n 5._o but_o here_o flesh_n murmure_v if_o we_o shall_v endeavour_n to_o be_v so_o meek_a and_o patient_a say_v the_o flesh_n flesh_n by_o wear_v hear_v cloth_n other_o scourge_n their_o body_n with_o whip_n other_o afflict_v themselves_o after_o other_o sort_n but_o these_o be_v even_o of_o cain_n brood_n &_o their_o work_n be_v no_o whit_n better_o than_o the_o work_n of_o cain_n for_o the_o man_n himself_o continue_v the_o same_o that_o he_o be_v before_o ungodly_a and_o without_o all_o justification_n there_o be_v a_o certain_a change_n make_v only_o of_o outward_a work_n of_o apparel_n of_o place_n etc._n etc._n neither_o be_v these_o any_o other_o they_o very_a ape_n of_o saint_n for_o they_o do_v preposterous_o imitate_v the_o manner_n &_o work_n of_o saint_n when_o as_o they_o themselves_o be_v nothing_o less_o they_o saint_n they_o scarce_o think_v of_o faith_n they_o presume_v only_o of_o such_o work_n as_o seem_v good_a unto_o themselves_o think_v by_o they_o to_o come_v unto_o heaven_n of_o who_o christ_n say_v enter_v in_o at_o the_o straight_a gate_n for_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o many_o seek_v to_o enter_v in_o at_o it_o &_o can_v not_o why_o be_v this_o because_o they_o know_v not_o what_o this_o narrow_a gate_n be_v for_o it_o be_v faith_n which_o do_v altogether_o annihilate_v or_o extenuate_v or_o make_v less_o whereby_o they_o may_v enter_v they_o do_v not_o leave_v confidence_n in_o their_o work_n but_o gather_v they_o together_o in_o great_a cowl_n they_o hang_v they_o about_o they_o and_o so_o go_v about_o to_o enter_v in_o be_v burden_v and_o as_o it_o be_v swell_v big_a which_o be_v as_o possible_a for_o they_o as_o for_o a_o camel_n with_o his_o bounched_a say_v because_o they_o be_v ignorant_a both_o what_o faith_n be_v &_o that_o it_o alone_o do_v justify_v they_o call_v it_o faith_n when_o they_o believe_v those_o thing_n which_o they_o have_v hear_v of_o christ_n which_o kind_n of_o faith_n the_o devil_n also_o have_v &_o yet_o be_v nothing_o therefore_o justify_v but_o this_o deserve_v to_o be_v call_v rather_o a_o opinion_n of_o man_n than_o suffice_v these_o paul_n call_v back_o again_o from_o work_n unto_o faith_n with_o great_a diligence_n and_o word_n marvelous_a effectual_a plain_o prove_v that_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n which_o go_v before_o say_v do_v make_v we_o only_a servant_n and_o be_v of_o no_o importance_n to_o godliness_n &_o salvation_n but_o that_o faith_n do_v make_v we_o the_o son_n of_o god_n &_o that_o from_o thence_o true_a good_a work_n do_v without_o constraint_n forth_o with_o most_o plentiful_o flow_v but_o here_o we_o must_v accustom_v ourselves_o to_o the_o word_n of_o the_o apostle_n of_o who_o paul_n call_v a_o servant_n and_o who_o a_o son_n in_o the_o text_n which_o be_v here_o entreat_v of_o he_o call_v he_o a_o servant_n that_o be_v occupy_v in_o work_n without_o faith_n whereof_o we_o have_v already_o entreat_v at_o large_a he_o call_v he_o a_o son_n which_o be_v righteous_a and_o live_v by_o faith_n alone_o without_o work_n the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v this_o this_o servant_n although_o he_o apply_v himself_o to_o good_a work_n yet_o he_o do_v it_o not_o with_o that_o mind_n with_o which_o a_o son_n do_v that_o be_v with_o a_o mind_n that_o be_v free_a willing_a &_o certain_a that_o the_o inheritance_n and_o all_o the_o good_a thing_n of_o the_o father_n be_v he_o but_o do_v it_o as_o he_o that_o be_v hire_v with_o a_o stipend_n in_o a_o other_o man_n house_n who_o hope_v not_o that_o the_o inheritance_n shall_v come_v unto_o he_o the_o work_n in_o deed_n of_o the_o son_n and_o the_o servant_n be_v like_a &_o almost_o all_o one_o according_a to_o the_o outward_a appearance_n but_o their_o mind_n do_v differ_v exceed_o much_o and_o their_o hope_n be_v nothing_o like_o even_o as_o christ_n himself_o say_v the_o servant_n abide_v not_o in_o the_o house_n for_o ever_o but_o the_o son_n abide_v for_o ever_o joh._n 8._o these_o of_o cain_n brood_n want_v the_o faith_n of_o son_n which_o they_o themselves_o confess_v for_o they_o think_v it_o a_o most_o absurd_a thing_n &_o wicked_a arrogancy_n to_o affirm_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o holy_a therefore_o as_o they_o believe_v even_o so_o be_v they_o count_v before_o god_n they_o never_o become_v the_o son_n of_o god_n or_o holy_a nevertheless_o they_o be_v exercise_v with_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n and_o be_v well_o weary_v wherefore_o they_o be_v and_o remain_v servant_n for_o ever_o and_o they_o receive_v no_o other_o reward_n but_o these_o temporal_a thing_n namely_o quietness_n of_o life_n abundance_n of_o good_n dignity_n and_o honour_n etc._n etc._n which_o we_o see_v to_o be_v usual_a among_o the_o follower_n of_o popish_a religion_n than_o who_o there_o be_v none_o at_o this_o day_n that_o live_v more_o pleasaunt_o more_o welthy_o more_o glorious_o and_o honourable_o but_o this_o be_v their_o reward_n they_o be_v servant_n and_o not_o son_n wherefore_o in_o death_n they_o shall_v be_v thrust_v from_o all_o good_a thing_n neither_o shall_v any_o portion_n of_o eternal_a inheritance_n come_v unto_o they_o who_o in_o this_o present_a life_n will_v believe_v nothing_o thereof_o so_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o servant_n and_o son_n be_v not_o much_o unlike_a in_o work_n but_o in_o mind_n and_o faith_n they_o be_v most_o unlike_a now_o the_o apostle_n endevour_v here_o to_o prove_v which_o in_o deed_n be_v the_o very_a matter_n that_o the_o law_n with_o all_o the_o work_v thereof_o do_v make_v we_o no_o other_o than_o servant_n if_o this_o faith_n in_o christ_n whereof_o we_o have_v speak_v be_v away_o for_o that_o alone_o do_v make_v we_o the_o son_n of_o god_n neither_o the_o law_n nor_o nature_n can_v give_v it_o only_o the_o gospel_n bring_v it_o when_o it_o be_v hear_v with_o a_o holy_a silence_n of_o mind_n it_o be_v the_o word_n of_o grace_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v forthwith_o follow_v as_o it_o be_v show_v in_o very_a many_o place_n and_o special_o act._n 10_o where_o we_o read_v that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v by_o and_o by_o fall_n on_o cornelius_n and_o his_o family_n hear_v the_o preach_n of_o peter_n give_v the_o law_n why_o it_o be_v give_v moreover_o the_o law_n be_v give_v for_o this_o that_o we_o may_v learn_v by_o it_o how_o void_a we_o be_v of_o grace_n and_o how_o far_o from_o be_v of_o the_o mind_n of_o son_n yea_o that_o we_o be_v plain_o of_o a_o servile_a mind_n for_o we_o be_v leave_v to_o ourselves_o can_v in_o no_o wise_n be_v free_a from_o the_o law_n neither_o if_o we_o do_v any_o good_a thing_n do_v we_o it_o willing_o forasmuch_o as_o that_o faith_n of_o son_n be_v want_v wherewith_o he_o that_o be_v endue_v know_v assure_o that_o the_o eternal_a inheritance_n shall_v come_v unto_o he_o and_o be_v of_o his_o own_o accord_n incline_v and_o bend_v with_o a_o willing_a and_o ready_a spirit_n to_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a now_o these_o man_n do_v willing_o confess_v that_o they_o be_v void_a of_o this_o faith_n and_o if_o they_o will_v confess_v the_o truth_n in_o deed_n they_o shall_v also_o plain_o confess_v that_o they_o have_v far_o rather_o be_v without_o all_o law_n and_o that_o they_o be_v against_o their_o will_n subject_a thereunto_o wherefore_o all_o thing_n be_v among_o they_o constrain_v and_o void_a of_o faith_n and_o they_o be_v in_o very_a deed_n compel_v to_o confess_v that_o by_o the_o law_n they_o can_v not_o attain_v any_o further_a which_o one_o thing_n they_o ought_v to_o learn_v by_o the_o law_n and_o know_v that_o they_o be_v servant_n and_o have_v nothing_o belong_v to_o son_n it_o cause_v and_o make_v such_o to_o be_v offend_v at_o it_o and_o learn_v by_o it_o how_o unprepared_a and_o unwilling_a they_o be_v to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a inasmuch_o as_o
he_o begin_v to_o be_v of_o any_o discretion_n and_o judgement_n it_o can_v not_o be_v but_o grievous_a unto_o he_o to_o live_v at_o the_o commandment_n and_o will_n of_o a_o other_o after_o the_o same_o sort_n stand_v the_o case_n of_o the_o elect_a governer_n the_o elect_n be_v for_o a_o time_n under_o the_o law_n as_o under_o a_o tutor_n or_o governer_n which_o be_v bring_v uppe_o and_o instruct_v under_o the_o law_n as_o under_o a_o master_n to_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o son_n first_o the_o law_n profit_v they_o in_o this_o that_o by_o the_o fear_n of_o it_o and_o of_o the_o punishment_n which_o it_o threaten_v they_o be_v drive_v from_o sin_n at_o the_o least_o from_o the_o outward_a work_n lest_o that_o the_o liberty_n of_o sin_v increase_n overmuche_o and_o remove_v they_o from_o all_o religion_n of_o god_n that_o hope_v of_o salvation_n be_v paste_n and_o god_n quite_o contemn_v they_o shall_v run_v headlong_o without_o all_o fear_n into_o all_o kind_n of_o evil_a as_o some_o desperate_a person_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v again_o the_o law_n be_v profitable_a to_o they_o in_o this_o that_o by_o it_o they_o be_v bring_v unto_o knowledge_n of_o themselves_o and_o learn_v how_o unwilling_o they_o live_v under_o the_o law_n and_o that_o they_o do_v no_o good_a at_o all_o with_o a_o willing_a and_o ready_a mind_n as_o it_o become_v son_n but_o with_o a_o servile_a and_o unwilling_a mind_n whereby_o they_o may_v easy_o see_v what_o be_v the_o root_n of_o this_o evil_a and_o what_o be_v especial_o needful_a unto_o salvation_n to_o wit_v a_o new_a and_o a_o willing_a spirit_n to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a which_o sure_o neither_o the_o law_n nor_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v able_a to_o give_v yea_o the_o long_a and_o the_o more_o that_o they_o apply_v themselves_o unto_o they_o so_o much_o more_o unwilling_a shall_v they_o find_v themselves_o and_o with_o so_o much_o more_o grief_n to_o work_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a hereupon_o now_o they_o learn_v that_o they_o do_v not_o satisfy_v the_o law_n although_o outward_o they_o live_v according_a to_o the_o prescript_n rule_v thereof_o for_o as_o they_o do_v pretend_v to_o obey_v it_o in_o work_n so_o in_o mind_n they_o do_v hate_v it_o wherefore_o in_o mind_n also_o they_o remain_v sinner_n although_o they_o pretend_v themselves_o righteous_a by_o work_n that_o be_v they_o be_v like_a unto_o those_o of_o cain_n brood_n and_o to_o hypocrite_n who_o hand_n in_o deed_n be_v compel_v to_o good_a but_o they_o have_v a_o hart_n which_o as_o it_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o the_o law_n so_o do_v it_o very_o consent_v unto_o sin_n and_o be_v miserable_o subject_a unto_o they_o to_o know_v this_o concern_v themselves_o be_v not_o the_o low_a degree_n to_o salvation_n hereof_o also_o we_o may_v see_v how_o fit_o paul_n call_v such_o constrain_a work_n the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n law_n the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n for_o they_o flow_v not_o from_o a_o ready_a and_o willing_a hart_n but_o be_v enforce_v by_o the_o law_n the_o heart_n decline_v a_o other_o way_n howbeit_o the_o law_n do_v not_o require_v work_n alone_o but_o much_o rather_o the_o heart_n itself_o so_o that_o we_o may_v say_v not_o only_o the_o work_n but_o rather_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o law_n not_o only_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o law_n but_o rather_o the_o mind_n will_n and_o all_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o law_n whereupon_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o first_o psalm_n of_o the_o bless_a man_n but_o his_o delight_n be_v in_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o in_o his_o law_n do_v he_o exercise_v himself_o day_n and_o night_n such_o a_o mind_n the_o law_n require_v in_o deed_n but_o it_o give_v it_o not_o neither_o can_v it_o give_v it_o of_o it_o own_o nature_n whereby_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o while_n the_o law_n continue_v to_o exact_v it_o of_o a_o man_n and_o to_o condemn_v he_o as_o long_o as_o he_o have_v not_o such_o a_o mind_n as_o disobedient_a to_o god_n he_o be_v in_o anguish_n on_o every_o side_n his_o conscience_n be_v grievous_o terrify_v and_o without_o all_o counsel_n and_o help_v then_o in_o deed_n he_o be_v most_o ready_o for_o grace_n and_o this_o be_v that_o time_n appoint_v of_o the_o father_n father_n the_o time_n appoint_v of_o the_o father_n when_o his_o servitude_n shall_v end_v and_o he_o shall_v enter_v into_o the_o state_n of_o the_o son_n for_o be_v thus_o in_o distress_n and_o terrify_v see_v that_o by_o no_o other_o mean_n he_o can_v avoid_v the_o condemnation_n of_o the_o law_n he_o turn_v himself_o whole_o to_o pray_v to_o the_o father_n for_o grace_n he_o acknowledge_v his_o frailty_n he_o confess_v his_o sin_n he_o cease_v to_o trust_v in_o work_n and_o do_v altogether_o as_o it_o be_v meet_v humble_v himself_o perceive_v now_o full_a well_o that_o between_o he_o and_o a_o manifest_a sinner_n there_o be_v no_o difference_n at_o all_o but_o of_o work_n that_o he_o have_v a_o wicked_a heart_n even_o as_o every_o other_o sinner_n have_v yea_o it_o may_v be_v that_o such_o hypocrite_n do_v far_o more_o hate_v the_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n than_o those_o famous_a sinner_n which_o be_v even_o as_o it_o be_v drown_v in_o sin_n for_o while_o these_o be_v even_o weary_v with_o the_o work_n of_o sin_n and_o do_v try_v the_o filthiness_n of_o they_o it_o often_o time_n come_v to_o pass_v that_o they_o do_v in_o some_o part_n loath_a and_o detest_v they_o when_o as_o those_o righteous_a one_o do_v always_o think_v those_o thing_n that_o they_o have_v not_o try_v to_o be_v more_o sweet_a neither_o can_v they_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v so_o much_o gall_n in_o sin_n whereof_o they_o be_v by_o nature_n inflame_v with_o such_o a_o desire_n &_o therefore_o as_o they_o do_v more_o earnest_o love_n sin_n so_o consequent_o they_o do_v much_o worse_o hate_v the_o law_n which_o as_o a_o certain_a schoolmaster_n be_v always_o against_o their_o desire_n moreover_o forasmuch_o as_o the_o condition_n of_o man_n nature_n be_v such_o that_o it_o be_v able_a to_o give_v to_o the_o law_n work_v only_o and_o not_o the_o hart_n who_o do_v not_o see_v how_o great_o it_o be_v contemn_v of_o we_o deal_n hypocritical_a deal_n a_o unequal_a division_n true_o to_o dedicate_v the_o hart_n which_o do_v incomparable_o excel_v all_o other_o thing_n to_o sin_n and_o the_o brutish_a hand_n to_o the_o law_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o to_o offer_v chaff_n to_o the_o law_n and_o the_o wheat_n to_o sin_n the_o shell_n to_o god_n and_o the_o kernel_n to_o satan_n so_o that_o come_v to_o pass_v which_o be_v in_o the_o gospel_n that_o the_o wickedness_n of_o he_o which_o be_v in_o thy_o judgement_n a_o desperate_a sinner_n be_v count_v as_o a_o mote_n and_o thou_o which_o so_o play_v the_o hypocrite_n be_v count_v as_o a_o beam_n if_o this_o evil_n be_v add_v hereunto_o that_o such_o hypocrite_n do_v not_o see_v a_o beam_n in_o their_o eye_n but_o be_v blind_v do_v persevere_v in_o their_o accustom_a work_n not_o mark_v this_o their_o inward_a abomination_n of_o the_o hart_n they_o by_o and_o by_o burst_v forth_o to_o judge_v &_o condemn_v other_o they_o despise_v sinner_n as_o he_o do_v in_o the_o gospel_n they_o think_v themselves_o not_o like_a unto_o they_o they_o be_v not_o as_o other_o man_n be_v they_o think_v themselves_o alone_o godly_a and_o righteous_a who_o ungodliness_n if_o one_o reprove_v &_o as_o it_o be_v meet_v bewray_v they_o by_o and_o by_o be_v in_o a_o rage_n and_o fury_n and_o stick_v not_o to_o kill_v innocent_a abel_n and_o to_o persecute_v all_o those_o that_o follow_v the_o truth_n and_o they_o will_v seem_v to_o do_v that_o to_o defend_v good_a work_n and_o to_o obtain_v righteousness_n neither_o do_v they_o promise_v to_o themselves_o a_o small_a reward_n for_o this_o inasmuch_o as_o they_o do_v as_o they_o say_v persecute_v heretic_n blasphemer_n them_z which_o be_v seduce_v &_o do_v seduce_v with_o mischievous_a error_n which_o labour_n to_o seduce_v and_o pluck_v even_o they_o from_o good_a work_n here_o thou_o may_v see_v that_o that_o show_v itself_o whatsoever_o the_o scripture_n attribute_v to_o these_o man_n be_v sure_o most_o pestilent_a spirit_n to_o wit_n that_o they_o be_v a_o generation_n of_o viper_n and_o serpent_n they_o be_v no_o other_o but_o of_o cain_n brood_n and_o so_o they_o do_v wherefore_o he_o have_v humble_v himself_o to_o we_o and_o take_v upon_o he_o that_o nature_n which_o be_v best_a know_v and_o most_o familiar_a unto_o we_o to_o wit_n even_o our_o own_o here_o he_o look_v for_o we_o here_o he_o will_v receive_v we_o he_o that_o will_v seek_v he_o here_o shall_v find_v he_o that_o will_v ask_v here_o shall_v be_v hear_v here_o be_v the_o throne_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o true_a mercy_n seat_n from_o which_o none_o be_v drive_v or_o thrust_v which_o with_o true_a faith_n resort_v unto_o it_o they_z which_o do_v here_o neglect_v he_o as_o though_o he_o be_v other_o be_v wont_a this_o be_v that_o one_o man_n which_o be_v bear_v only_o of_o a_o woman_n he_o will_v not_o say_v of_o a_o virgin_n virgin_n why_o paul_n rather_o say_v that_o christ_n be_v make_v of_o a_o woman_n they_o of_o a_o virgin_n for_o that_o a_o virgin_n be_v not_o a_o name_n of_o nature_n but_o a_o woman_n signify_v a_o sex_n and_o certain_a condition_n whereunto_o it_o belong_v to_o be_v with_o child_n and_o to_o bring_v forth_o that_o be_v to_o do_v the_o part_n of_o a_o mother_n see_v therefore_o that_o marie_n be_v a_o mother_n in_o deed_n she_o be_v right_o call_v a_o woman_n for_o she_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n unto_o we_o which_o belong_v to_o a_o mother_n and_o not_o to_o a_o virgin_n although_o she_o bring_v it_o forth_o alone_o without_o the_o mean_n of_o man_n wherein_o she_o be_v declare_v both_o a_o singular_a virgin_n and_o woman_n but_o because_o it_o be_v of_o great_a importance_n to_o the_o apostle_n and_o unto_o all_o we_o that_o marie_n be_v a_o woman_n and_o thereby_o the_o mother_n of_o christ_n then_o that_o she_o be_v a_o virgin_n for_o that_o this_o be_v only_o a_o ornament_n unto_o she_o but_o in_o that_o she_o be_v a_o woman_n she_o bring_v forth_o he_o which_o be_v salvation_n unto_o all_o for_o this_o cause_n i_o say_v the_o apostle_n call_v she_o rather_o a_o woman_n then_o a_o virgin_n neither_o be_v it_o consider_v of_o christ_n shall_v be_v a_o virgin_n the_o cause_n be_v for_o that_o it_o behove_v that_o christ_n shall_v be_v bear_v without_o sin_n and_o therefore_o without_o the_o commixtion_n of_o man_n for_o of_o the_o seed_n of_o a_o sinful_a man_n nothing_o can_v be_v bear_v but_o that_o which_o be_v defile_v with_o sin_n but_o it_o behove_v that_o christ_n shall_v be_v that_o bless_a seed_n who_o
