in_o flesh_n but_o not_o in_o union_n or_o conjunction_n with_o flesh_n but_o have_v a_o distinct_a and_o formal_a difference_n both_o here_o and_o hereafter_o the_o one_o return_v to_o nothing_o the_o other_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n and_o further_o how_o this_o soul_n as_o man_n speak_v of_o shall_v be_v impure_a and_o sinful_a i_o know_v not_o for_o how_o flesh_n shall_v defile_v a_o spirit_n i_o can_v imagine_v be_v that_o i_o be_o sure_a and_o as_o every_o man_n will_v grant_v that_o no_o effect_n can_v be_v produce_v beyond_o its_o cause_n but_o every_o effect_n have_v its_o rise_n and_o original_n from_o its_o proper_a cause_n and_o so_o have_v god_n lay_v in_o nature_n the_o body_n proper_a to_o the_o seed_n and_o to_o every_o seed_n it_o be_v own_o body_n and_o a_o man_n may_v as_o well_o gather_v grape_n of_o thorn_n and_o fig_n of_o thistle_n as_o to_o conceive_v it_o can_v be_v that_o a_o visible_a or_o fleshly_a substance_n can_v corrupt_v a_o spiritual_a and_o invisible_a substance_n but_o than_o you_o will_v say_v where_o be_v the_o sin_n all_o this_o while_n you_o will_v say_v then_o sin_n be_v nothing_o or_o that_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n to_o which_o i_o have_v partly_o answer_v in_o the_o forego_n subject_a speak_v of_o which_o because_o it_o be_v so_o fall_v in_o my_o way_n i_o shall_v speak_v a_o little_a further_o in_o answer_n to_o you_o first_o i_o shall_v grant_v and_o i_o think_v it_o be_v no_o less_o than_o blasphemy_n to_o affirm_v otherwise_o that_o god_n be_v not_o the_o author_n of_o sin_n or_o that_o any_o sin_n can_v as_o the_o world_n be_v make_v to_o believe_v we_o do_v and_o i_o think_v they_o be_v all_o as_o plain_o and_o brief_o make_v out_o as_o they_o themselves_o can_v desire_v and_o further_o i_o know_v by_o experience_n that_o there_o be_v some_o with_o who_o my_o spirit_n sweet_o close_v in_o the_o unity_n thereof_o and_o that_o travel_n with_o i_o in_o the_o same_o birth_n yet_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bring_v forth_o their_o conception_n for_o so_o much_o as_o many_o time_n the_o truth_n suffer_v by_o a_o weak_a delivery_n and_o for_o their_o sake_n have_v i_o hold_v this_o glass_n before_o bone_n have_v be_v break_v and_o will_v have_v choose_v death_n rather_o than_o life_n and_o think_v they_o can_v have_v endure_v many_o burn_n to_o have_v be_v rid_v of_o such_o a_o condition_n and_o i_o think_v they_o will_v tell_v they_o there_o be_v no_o other_o or_o need_n be_v no_o other_o hell_n and_o all_o this_o come_v from_o a_o dark_a and_o carnal_a knowledge_n or_o rather_o ignorance_n of_o god_n for_o certain_a it_o be_v god_n condemn_v none_o but_o the_o condemnation_n be_v of_o a_o man_n self_n and_o in_o a_o man_n self_n if_o any_o shall_v say_v all_o this_o be_v nothing_o i_o care_v not_o if_o this_o be_v all_o the_o hell_n and_o that_o it_o last_v no_o long_o than_o this_o life_n but_o be_v there_o not_o a_o hell_n hereafter_o that_o be_v the_o hell_n to_o think_v of_o eternity_n and_o that_o the_o create_v re_fw-mi shall_v be_v everlasting_o torment_v and_o endure_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n to_o all_o eternity_n for_o answer_v hereunto_o i_o must_v profess_v i_o he_o shall_v after_o all_o this_o be_v receive_v up_o into_o glory_n and_o that_o flesh_n and_o blood_n can_v inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o that_o nothing_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n but_o pure_a divine_a glory_n i_o can_v conceive_v any_o other_o resurrection_n then_o of_o carnal_a to_o be_v make_v spiritual_a and_o that_o be_v no_o other_o than_o the_o spiritual_a appearance_n of_o god_n so_o that_o when_o i_o will_v find_v out_o what_o the_o resurrection_n be_v i_o reflect_v upon_o my_o own_o spirit_n and_o trace_v the_o go_n of_o god_n there_o and_o there_o i_o can_v find_v god_n rise_v from_o one_o degree_n of_o glory_n to_o another_o and_o change_v i_o into_o his_o image_n by_o his_o spirit_n and_o so_o i_o see_v how_o he_o have_v lead_v i_o from_o one_o dispensation_n to_o another_o and_o from_o one_o ordinance_n to_o another_o till_o at_o last_o he_o appear_v so_o spiritual_o that_o he_o over-power_n all_o flesh_n and_o form_n which_o i_o admire_v in_o my_o carnal_a condition_n and_o appear_v to_o be_v that_o temple_n glory_n and_o light_v himself_o which_o i_o have_v think_v to_o have_v have_v in_o a_o sensible_a and_o carnal_a enjoyment_n hereafter_o so_o that_o i_o be_o lead_v to_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o outward_a felicity_n to_o be_v enjoy_v in_o this_o resurrection_n but_o that_o it_o be_v god_n arise_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o shine_v bright_a and_o bright_a till_o the_o perfect_a day_n &_o make_v all_o the_o creature-apprehension_n and_o knowledge_n of_o god_n to_o cease_v and_o this_o resurrection_n i_o clear_o find_v in_o my_o own_o spirit_n that_o the_o most_o glorious_a and_o enlarge_a part_n and_o ability_n in_o prayer_n speak_v or_o otherwise_o in_o which_o i_o have_v delight_v and_o no_o question_n but_o i_o do_v enjoy_v god_n in_o they_o though_o in_o a_o dark_a and_o low_a estate_n these_o i_o say_v the_o glory_n and_o beauty_n of_o they_o be_v all_o wither_a and_o vanish_v before_o the_o bright_a and_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n for_o the_o son_n in_o i_o have_v deliver_v up_o his_o kingdom_n and_o those_o fleshly_a and_o formal_a manifestation_n and_o outward_a bodily_a worship_n cease_v god_n be_v all_o in_o all_o so_o that_o i_o can_v neither_o in_o jerusalem_n or_o in_o the_o mount_n or_o in_o any_o outward_a form_n or_o duty_n worship_n god_n know_v that_o he_o be_v only_o to_o be_v worship_v in_o spirit_n &_o truth_n and_o that_o though_o god_n be_v with_o i_o in_o my_o former_a carnal_a and_o dark_a condition_n and_o do_v lead_v i_o in_o it_o gentle_o yet_o all_o be_v but_o to_o raise_v up_o himself_o and_o to_o be_v that_o spiritual_o in_o i_o in_o another_o way_n than_o that_o which_o i_o expect_v and_o so_o of_o natural_a he_o have_v make_v i_o spiritual_a which_o be_v the_o spiritual_a resurrection_n that_o we_o be_v speak_v of_o and_o further_o i_o real_o see_v that_o the_o flesh_n of_o man_n and_o of_o all_o other_o creature_n differ_v not_o any_o thing_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o they_o indeed_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o kind_n and_o manner_n some_o flesh_n be_v of_o man_n some_o of_o beast_n and_o some_o of_o fish_n but_o as_o flesh_n none_o of_o they_o be_v capable_a of_o any_o more_o glory_n than_o one_o another_o all_o be_v of_o the_o same_o mould_n and_o come_v to_o the_o same_o end_n and_o though_o the_o spirit_n in_o they_o or_o whatsoever_o be_v god_n in_o they_o return_v to_o their_o original_n which_o be_v god_n and_o so_o live_v in_o he_o again_o yet_o the_o fleshly_a part_n return_v to_o dust_n from_o whence_o it_o come_v and_o as_o the_o man_n die_v so_o die_v the_o beast_n as_o die_v the_o wise_a man_n so_o die_v the_o fool_n one_o end_n be_v to_o they_o all_o as_o solomon_n speak_v and_o whereas_o man_n imagine_v that_o there_o be_v a_o fleshly_a resurrection_n and_o that_o the_o same_o body_n flesh_n and_o bone_n shall_v rise_v and_o remain_v a_o corporal_a and_o visible_a substance_n how_o this_o shall_v be_v i_o be_o sure_a they_o do_v not_o know_v themselves_o for_o however_o man_n speak_v that_o the_o corporal_a body_n shall_v be_v make_v a_o spiritual_a to_o i_o it_o be_v ridiculous_a because_o the_o scripture_n say_v that_o which_o be_v bear_v of_o flesh_n be_v flesh_n and_o can_v remain_v in_o no_o other_o capacity_n and_o beside_o i_o hope_v no_o man_n will_v deny_v that_o a_o spiritual_a thing_n can_v be_v see_v of_o a_o fleshly_a or_o that_o a_o external_a organ_n of_o the_o body_n can_v see_v a_o internal_a and_o invisible_a thing_n the_o apostle_n make_v it_o plain_a that_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v see_v be_v temporal_a and_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o see_v be_v eternal_a now_o how_o it_o can_v stand_v or_o consist_v with_o reason_n or_o scripture_n logic_n or_o rhetoric_n that_o man_n shall_v hold_v and_o maintain_v that_o man_n shall_v visible_o see_v one_o another_o in_o heaven_n as_o they_o call_v it_o and_o know_v one_o another_o and_o see_v their_o visible_a shape_n as_o they_o live_v in_o on_o the_o earth_n &_o yet_o they_o maintain_v on_o the_o other_o side_n this_o be_v a_o spiritual_a body_n i_o can_v see_v if_o this_o be_v divinity_n than_o i_o be_o not_o in_o the_o humanity_n but_o indeed_o i_o be_o willing_a to_o give_v way_n to_o their_o weakness_n because_o i_o have_v be_v as_o childish_a myself_o only_o i_o can_v but_o take_v notice_n of_o the_o babel_n and_o confusion_n that_o man_n be_v in_o and_o yet_o think_v themselves_o the_o only_a ambassador_n of_o peace_n and_o as_o if_o all_o knowledge_n and_o spiritual_a learning_n be_v confine_v to_o they_o but_o lay_v my_o hand_n gentle_o on_o their_o sore_n i_o let_v they_o pass_v and_o go_v on_o to_o that_o in_o hand_n and_o whereas_o the_o scripture_n speak_v of_o a_o spiritual_a body_n i_o conceive_v that_o there_o be_v a_o spiritual_a body_n and_o that_o this_o body_n must_v be_v raise_v which_o spiritual_a body_n i_o apprehend_v to_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o divine_a be_v or_o god_n in_o spirit_n term_v a_o body_n for_o these_o two_o reason_n as_o i_o conceive_v first_o because_o god_n be_v the_o body_n and_o substance_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o so_o it_o be_v say_v that_o this_o god_n dwell_v bodily_a or_o substantial_o in_o the_o man_n christ_n he_o be_v that_o person_n in_o who_o flesh_n god_n do_v more_o glorious_o appear_v then_o in_o any_o other_o so_o he_o be_v the_o most_o express_a image_n oâ—_n his_o father_n person_n and_o in_o this_o respect_n god_n may_v be_v term_v a_o spiritual_a body_n though_o for_o my_o part_n i_o dare_v not_o imagine_v he_o to_o have_v either_o person_n or_o body_n second_o god_n may_v be_v style_v a_o spiritual_a body_n because_o this_o body_n or_o divine_a be_v be_v and_o have_v its_o be_v in_o many_o member_n and_o so_o god_n be_v style_v the_o head_n of_o the_o body_n and_o christ_n be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o church_n which_o be_v his_o body_n wherein_o ireal_o apprehend_v that_o all_o the_o apperances_n of_o god_n in_o the_o saint_n as_o they_o be_v call_v &_o all_o the_o manifestation_n of_o god_n in_o flesh_n or_o in_o any_o fleshly_a or_o outward_a dispensation_n or_o form_n they_o be_v but_o the_o cark_n and_o shadow_n of_o god_n who_o be_v the_o body_n or_o substance_n of_o they_o all_o and_o all_o these_o die_a and_o vanish_v as_o they_o shall_v god_n shall_v only_o live_v and_o raise_v himself_o a_o spiritual_a body_n and_o therein_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n so_o that_o it_o be_v spiritual_o true_a that_o the_o body_n which_o be_v fleshly_a shall_v perish_v and_o the_o spiritual_a body_n shall_v be_v raise_v as_o we_o shall_v have_v occasion_n in_o the_o sequel_n of_o the_o discourse_n to_o make_v out_o but_o because_o man_n be_v still_o pore_v upon_o a_o scripture_n without_o they_o to_o prove_v a_o carnal_a resurrection_n and_o will_v believe_v nothing_o but_o what_o they_o think_v the_o scripture_n speak_v in_o the_o letter_n though_o indeed_o they_o err_v not_o know_v it_o or_o the_o power_n of_o god_n i_o shall_v a_o little_a condescend_v to_o their_o weakness_n in_o this_o kind_n though_o for_o my_o part_n if_o there_o be_v not_o a_o letter_n in_o all_o the_o bible_n to_o strengthen_v i_o in_o my_o opinion_n of_o the_o resurrection_n i_o shall_v not_o much_o care_n nor_o need_v i_o the_o testimony_n of_o it_o as_o to_o myself_o for_o i_o have_v a_o sure_a word_n within_o to_o which_o i_o take_v heed_n yet_o i_o say_v for_o other_o man_n sake_n i_o shall_v
when_o christ_n rise_v we_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o rise_v with_o he_o so_o that_o there_o be_v a_o sweet_a truth_n in_o that_o scripture_n where_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o day_n of_o a_o man_n death_n be_v better_a than_o the_o day_n that_o a_o man_n be_v bear_v for_o better_a it_o be_v for_o a_o man_n to_o die_v spiritual_o then_o to_o live_v natural_o and_o so_o none_o of_o we_o live_v to_o himself_o or_o die_v to_o himself_o but_o whether_o we_o live_v or_o die_v all_o be_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o he_o be_v glorify_v in_o the_o death_n as_o well_o as_o in_o the_o life_n for_o our_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o god_n in_o christ_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v to_o the_o collossian_o though_o we_o be_v dead_a as_o he_o say_v and_o nothing_o appear_v of_o life_n to_o ourselves_o or_o other_o yet_o we_o need_v not_o fear_v for_o the_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o when_o christ_n our_o life_n shall_v appear_v and_o so_o appear_v as_o to_o be_v our_o life_n and_o happiness_n then_o shall_v we_o appear_v glorious_a but_o it_o be_v in_o he_o when_o christ_n rise_v so_o spiritual_o and_o glorious_o to_o subdue_v and_o destroy_v the_o fleshly_a be_v which_o be_v the_o death_n and_o cause_n death_n for_o no_o soon_o do_v sin_n enter_v but_o death_n enter_v with_o it_o then_o do_v christ_n the_o spiritual_a be_v and_o life_n triumph_v and_o then_o be_v death_n swallow_v up_o of_o life_n and_o mortality_n of_o immortality_n that_o be_v flesh_n be_v swallow_v up_o of_o spirit_n and_o death_n the_o fleshly_a be_v be_v swallow_v up_o of_o life_n the_o spiritual_a be_v and_o then_o shall_v be_v bring_v to_o pass_v that_o say_n o_o death_n where_o be_v thy_o sting_n o_o grave_n where_o be_v thy_o victory_n but_o thanks_o to_o god_n for_o it_o be_v he_o that_o get_v the_o victory_n again_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o natural_a so_o it_o be_v in_o the_o spiritual_a this_o resurrection_n be_v set_v forth_o by_o the_o resemblance_n of_o the_o grain_n of_o corn_n and_o it_o hold_v out_o a_o lively_a resemblance_n of_o the_o spiritual_a life_n and_o death_n and_o of_o the_o spiritual_a resurrection_n of_o the_o natural_a for_o as_o the_o grain_n glory_n in_o the_o spirit_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v true_a till_o the_o fleshly_a and_o outward_a form_n or_o formal_a be_v suffer_v the_o divine_a can_v reign_v and_o therefore_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o death_n there_o be_v life_n and_o god_n do_v but_o die_v in_o weakness_n to_o rise_v in_o power_n not_o that_o god_n be_v weak_a but_o he_o be_v bury_v and_o hide_v in_o the_o carnal_a sense_n and_o life_n to_o rise_v with_o more_o strong_a and_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o himself_o which_o be_v the_o spiritual_a resurrection_n which_o be_v further_o illustrate_v by_o the_o terrestrial_a when_o these_o come_v and_o appear_v and_o that_o god_n put_v on_o the_o heavenly_a clothing_n then_o be_v the_o corruptible_a swall_v up_o of_o the_o incorruptible_a for_o it_o be_v true_a that_o flesh_n and_o blood_n can_v inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n nor_o corruption_n put_v on_o incorruption_n but_o when_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o change_n and_o of_o natural_a we_o become_v spiritual_a and_o when_o the_o last_o trump_n shall_v blow_v that_o be_v when_o god_n shall_v glorious_o sound_v forth_o his_o one_o praise_n &_o nothing_o but_o spiritual_a power_n appear_v then_o shall_v the_o dead_a hear_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o live_v and_o the_o dark_a and_o carnal_a appearance_n of_o god_n shall_v give_v way_n to_o the_o more_o pure_a and_o
