god_n and_o if_o i_o may_v say_v further_o without_o offence_n it_o be_v god_n for_o that_o which_o be_v of_o god_n be_v god_n because_o god_n can_v be_v divide_v all_o man_n grant_v it_o be_v immortal_a and_o come_v from_o god_n pure_a and_o undefiled_a and_o how_o then_o it_o shall_v be_v impure_a i_o know_v not_o for_o this_o i_o real_o see_v that_o though_o it_o be_v infuse_v into_o the_o body_n yet_o i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v not_o of_o the_o body_n nor_o can_v the_o flesh_n be_v capable_a of_o such_o a_o thing_n as_o we_o call_v union_n with_o the_o spirit_n and_o so_o the_o soul_n be_v in_o the_o body_n but_o be_v not_o of_o the_o body_n or_o the_o body_n but_o real_o distinct_a and_o so_o it_o be_v in_o flesh_n but_o not_o flesh_n and_o so_o it_o be_v god_n manifest_a in_o flesh_n but_o not_o in_o union_n or_o conjunction_n with_o flesh_n but_o have_v a_o distinct_a and_o formal_a difference_n both_o here_o and_o hereafter_o the_o one_o return_v to_o nothing_o the_o other_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n and_o further_o how_o this_o soul_n as_o man_n speak_v of_o shall_v be_v impure_a and_o sinful_a i_o know_v not_o for_o how_o flesh_n shall_v defile_v a_o spirit_n i_o can_v imagine_v be_v that_o i_o be_o sure_a and_o as_o every_o man_n will_v grant_v that_o no_o effect_n can_v be_v produce_v beyond_o its_o cause_n but_o every_o effect_n have_v its_o rise_n and_o original_n from_o its_o proper_a cause_n and_o so_o have_v god_n lay_v in_o nature_n the_o body_n proper_a to_o the_o seed_n and_o to_o every_o seed_n it_o be_v own_o body_n and_o a_o man_n may_v as_o well_o gather_v grape_n of_o thorn_n and_o fig_n of_o thistle_n as_o to_o conceive_v it_o can_v be_v that_o a_o visible_a or_o fleshly_a substance_n can_v corrupt_v a_o spiritual_a and_o invisible_a substance_n but_o than_o you_o will_v say_v where_o be_v the_o sin_n all_o this_o while_n you_o will_v say_v then_o sin_n be_v nothing_o or_o that_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n to_o which_o i_o have_v partly_o answer_v in_o the_o forego_n subject_a speak_v of_o which_o because_o it_o be_v so_o fall_v in_o my_o way_n i_o shall_v speak_v a_o little_a further_o in_o answer_n to_o you_o first_o i_o shall_v grant_v and_o i_o think_v it_o be_v no_o less_o than_o blasphemy_n to_o affirm_v otherwise_o that_o god_n be_v not_o the_o author_n of_o sin_n or_o that_o any_o sin_n can_v be_v in_o he_o he_o be_v light_n and_o in_o he_o be_v no_o darkness_n at_o all_o and_o so_o the_o soul_n be_v of_o he_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v pure_a and_o holy_a not_o admit_v any_o mixture_n of_o flesh_n but_o for_o before_o he_o live_v in_o himself_o and_o so_o there_o can_v be_v no_o sin_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o god_n three_o inasmuch_o as_o this_o flesh_n be_v a_o veil_n or_o cover_n wherein_o this_o soul_n or_o divine_a be_v life_n this_o god_n soul_n or_o divine_a nature_n call_v it_o what_o you_o will_v the_o glory_n and_o beauty_n the_o purity_n and_o excellency_n thereof_o be_v darken_v and_o obscure_v there_o be_v the_o sin_n for_o whatever_o man_n conceive_v of_o thing_n this_o i_o real_o apprehend_v that_o that_o which_o we_o call_v the_o soul_n that_o be_v as_o man_n general_o make_v it_o the_o understanding_n reason_n judgement_n will_n and_o affection_n be_v not_o positive_o or_o actual_o infect_v with_o sin_n but_o only_o be_v obscure_v and_o can_v be_v so_o glorious_o manifest_v by_o reason_n of_o the_o flesh_n or_o fleshly_a be_v and_o so_o god_n take_v flesh_n upon_o he_o and_o through_o the_o veil_n that_o be_v the_o flesh_n do_v destroy_v and_o do_v condemn_v sin_n in_o the_o flesh_n so_o that_o whosoever_o pray_v or_o prophecy_n with_o a_o veil_n or_o cover_n upon_o his_o head_n christ_n which_o be_v god_n in_o the_o spirit_n such_o a_o one_o dishonour_v his_o head_n which_o be_v christ_n because_o he_o suffer_v something_o to_o come_v betwixt_o god_n and_o he_o so_o that_o by_o this_o time_n i_o suppose_v you_o see_v what_o i_o conceive_v of_o sin_n and_o where_o it_o lie_v and_o what_o i_o conceive_v of_o that_o we_o call_v soul_n and_o of_o the_o body_n or_o fleshly_a part_n of_o man_n wherein_o i_o have_v be_v force_v to_o make_v a_o little_a digression_n because_o thing_n be_v mysterious_a and_o to_o come_v to_o the_o point_n in_o hand_n concern_v a_o hell_n hereafter_o what_o it_o shall_v be_v or_o what_o shall_v be_v torment_v in_o it_o i_o do_v not_o as_o yet_o apprehend_v for_o the_o soul_n come_v pure_a and_o be_v of_o the_o essence_n of_o god_n can_v not_o be_v corrupt_v and_o the_o body_n not_o capable_a of_o any_o impression_n of_o god_n and_o return_n to_o its_o first_o principle_n of_o earth_n so_o that_o unless_o you_o will_v imagine_v a_o hell_n in_o god_n which_o you_o will_v account_v blasphemy_n to_o speak_v i_o can_v fancy_v or_o imagine_v any_o such_o hell_n hereafter_o as_o man_n dream_v off_o the_o truth_n be_v there_o be_v nothing_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n but_o god_n every_o thing_n below_o god_n perish_v and_o come_v to_o nothing_o and_o as_o all_o thing_n have_v their_o subsistence_n and_o be_v in_o god_n before_o they_o be_v ever_o manifest_v in_o the_o world_n or_o creature_n so_o in_o the_o end_n whatsoever_o be_v of_o god_n or_o god_n in_o the_o world_n at_o the_o end_n of_o it_o they_o shall_v all_o be_v rapt_v up_o into_o god_n again_o and_o so_o as_o god_n from_o all_o eternity_n live_v in_o himself_o and_o all_o thing_n in_o he_o so_o when_o he_o shall_v cease_v to_o live_v in_o flesh_n and_o creature_n he_o will_v then_o live_v in_o himself_o all_o eternity_n then_o may_v he_o conclude_v a_o hell_n for_o as_o sin_n be_v the_o dark_a appearance_n of_o god_n so_o be_v hell_n a_o inseparable_a companion_n of_o it_o but_o to_o imagine_v the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o hereafter_o or_o to_o all_o eternity_n will_v render_v i_o in_o my_o own_o apprehension_n one_o of_o those_o who_o property_n it_o be_v to_o believe_v every_o thing_n but_o i_o know_v who_o i_o have_v believe_v thus_o have_v i_o do_v with_o that_o part_n of_o my_o discourse_n which_o i_o call_v the_o dark_a side_n of_o god_n which_o i_o divide_v into_o three_o part_n which_o we_o call_v devil_n sin_n and_o hell_n in_o all_o which_o i_o have_v endeavour_v to_o clear_a god_n and_o to_o make_v the_o devil_n and_o sin_n as_o vile_a as_o i_o can_v but_o be_o far_o short_a of_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o want_v word_n to_o express_v myself_o in_o either_o only_o what_o be_v upon_o my_o spirit_n thou_o have_v in_o the_o letter_n concern_v the_o resurrection_n christ_n where_o he_o say_v i_o be_o the_o resurrection_n and_o the_o life_n and_o i_o see_v it_o full_o make_v out_o in_o i_o that_o christ_n spiritual_o be_v that_o resurrection_n which_o i_o think_v shall_v be_v of_o the_o creature_n and_o i_o can_v tell_v what_o in_o the_o creature_n shall_v rise_v or_o be_v capable_a of_o such_o glory_n and_o happiness_n beside_o god_n and_o so_o i_o see_v that_o which_o i_o do_v expect_v to_o enjoy_v hereafter_o only_o
gross_a and_o carnal_a conceit_n of_o god_n but_o i_o shall_v not_o enter_v upon_o any_o thing_n controvertall_a only_o i_o shall_v give_v you_o what_o be_v make_v out_o in_o i_o and_o i_o conceive_v no_o other_o what_o the_o scripture_n hold_v out_o in_o the_o letter_n and_o so_o it_o be_v true_a that_o there_o be_v three_o that_o bear_v record_n in_o heaven_n and_o yet_o these_o three_o but_o one_o he_o do_v not_o speak_v three_o person_n but_o three_o and_o that_o thus_o as_o far_o as_o i_o conceive_v the_o father_n be_v god_n from_o all_o eternity_n who_o be_v be_v be_v in_o himself_o have_v all_o being_n wrap_v up_o in_o himself_o this_o god_n let_v himself_o and_o his_o be_v in_o several_a form_n of_o flesh_n be_v god_n the_o son_n for_o i_o do_v not_o apprehend_v that_o god_n creature_n as_o well_o as_o in_o the_o man_n christ_n though_o as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v he_o be_v the_o most_o express_a image_n and_o that_o the_o fullness_n of_o the_o godhead_n dwell_v bodily_a in_o he_o that_o be_v in_o respect_n of_o manifestation_n but_o otherwise_o i_o conceive_v that_o god_n who_o can_v admit_v of_o degree_n can_v be_v say_v to_o dwell_v in_o he_o more_o than_o another_o and_o i_o may_v show_v that_o his_o be_v in_o spirit_n be_v much_o more_o glorious_a than_o his_o be_v in_o flesh_n the_o one_o be_v but_o a_o shadow_n and_o type_n of_o the_o other_o but_o i_o forbear_v because_o it_o may_v afford_v another_o discourse_n of_o itself_o and_o return_v to_o what_o we_o have_v in_o hand_n and_o that_o be_v that_o god_n the_o son_n be_v god_n manifest_a in_o flesh_n now_o that_o we_o call_v holy_a ghost_n be_v god_n live_v in_o spirit_n and_o all_o these_o be_v not_o three_o distinct_a being_n only_a one_o be_v make_v out_o in_o three_o several_a term_n to_o make_v it_o a_o little_a plain_o the_o scripture_n say_v god_n be_v love_n and_o yet_o it_o tell_v we_o of_o a_o threefold_a love_n the_o first_o be_v god_n love_n to_o we_o the_o second_o be_v our_o love_n to_o god_n the_o three_o be_v our_o love_n to_o one_o another_o now_o it_o be_v plain_a these_o be_v not_o three_o but_o one_o for_o by_o the_o same_o love_n that_o god_n love_v we_o by_o the_o same_o love_n we_o love_v he_o we_o love_v he_o because_o he_o love_v we_o and_o it_o be_v the_o same_o love_n by_o which_o we_o love_v one_o another_o and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o that_o love_v not_o his_o brother_n love_v not_o god_n and_o so_o we_o have_v communion_n with_o god_n when_o we_o have_v communion_n with_o one_o another_o so_o that_o god_n love_n to_o we_o and_o our_o love_n to_o he_o and_o to_o one_o another_o be_v not_o three_o love_n but_o one_o so_o in_o like_a manner_n love_n be_v the_o father_n this_o love_n manifest_v in_o flesh_n be_v the_o son_n this_o love_n love_v the_o love_v be_v the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o these_o three_o be_v one_o the_o father_n be_v god_n form_v all_o thing_n the_o son_n be_v god_n who_o be_v form_v and_o manifest_v in_o flesh_n the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v god_n manifest_v or_o reveal_v the_o manifest_a thus_o the_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n be_v not_o three_o person_n but_o one_o entire_a be_v make_v out_o in_o several_a expression_n and_o thus_o i_o have_v do_v with_o this_o subject_n concern_v god_n be_v willing_a to_o loose_v myself_o in_o the_o thought_n of_o he_o as_o know_v that_o he_o can_v be_v know_v and_o that_o all_o word_n or_o expression_n of_o scripture_n or_o man_n come_v short_a of_o he_o and_o do_v but_o confound_v and_o darken_v the_o glory_n of_o that_o great_a creator_n who_o have_v do_v all_o thing_n according_a to_o reason_n and_o be_v himself_o the_o reason_n and_o ground_n of_o all_o thing_n for_o in_o he_o they_o live_v and_o move_v and_o have_v their_o be_v and_o therefore_o to_o he_o be_v the_o glory_n for_o evermore_o concern_v heaven_n now_o for_o that_o which_o we_o call_v heaven_n i_o can_v conceive_v it_o any_o local_a place_n because_o god_n be_v not_o confine_v or_o have_v his_o be_v 〈◊〉_d station_n in_o our_o settle_a compass_n and_o therefore_o i_o see_v that_o true_a which_o the_o letter_n speak_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v within_o you_o and_o so_o i_o see_v heaven_n to_o be_v there_o where_o god_n display_v his_o own_o glory_n and_o excellency_n for_o heaven_n be_v nothing_o but_o god_n at_o large_a or_o god_n make_v out_o himself_o in_o spirit_n and_o glory_n and_o so_o i_o real_o see_v that_o then_o man_n be_v in_o heaven_n or_o heaven_n in_o man_n when_o god_n appear_v in_o his_o glorious_a and_o pure_a manifestation_n of_o himself_o in_o love_n and_o grace_n in_o peace_n and_o rest_n in_o the_o spirit_n when_o god_n show_v himself_o to_o be_v all_o the_o happiness_n comfort_n and_o reward_n and_o so_o this_o heaven_n be_v not_o outward_a or_o a_o place_n of_o any_o outward_a or_o carnal_a bodily_a happiness_n as_o man_n dream_v of_o but_o it_o consist_v in_o righteousness_n joy_n &_o peace_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n all_o which_o be_v spiritual_a and_o terminate_v in_o god_n alone_o i_o do_v not_o as_o i_o have_v carnal_o conceive_v that_o when_o paul_n be_v rapt_v up_o into_o the_o three_o heaven_n and_o hear_v and_o see_v thing_n unutterable_a that_o he_o be_v bodily_a take_v up_o or_o hear_v god_n with_o a_o audible_a voice_n no_o but_o i_o rather_o conceive_v it_o some_o extraordinary_a appearance_n of_o god_n fill_v the_o spirit_n with_o glorious_a amazement_n and_o admiration_n of_o its_o own_o excellency_n so_o that_o when_o god_n do_v glorious_o appear_v to_o the_o silence_v of_o flesh_n and_o overpower_v the_o selfish_n be_v in_o man_n and_o fill_v the_o spirit_n with_o its_o own_o glory_n then_o be_v god_n and_o his_o heaven_n come_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o such_o a_o estate_n some_o may_v be_v &_o have_v be_v sensible_a of_o that_o they_o have_v so_o feel_v the_o overpower_v of_o god_n in_o their_o spirit_n that_o they_o can_v not_o tell_v whether_o they_o be_v in_o the_o body_n or_o out_o of_o the_o body_n as_o be_v paul_n condition_n and_o this_o heaven_n the_o land_n of_o canaan_n be_v a_o lively_a type_n of_o wherein_o god_n after_o he_o have_v by_o a_o strong_a hand_n bring_v the_o child_n of_o israel_n from_o the_o bondage_n of_o egypt_n and_o through_o many_o danger_n of_o the_o wilderness_n and_o red_a sea_n god_n at_o last_o bring_v they_o to_o a_o land_n of_o rest_n in_o which_o this_o be_v real_o make_v out_o to_o i_o that_o it_o be_v the_o overrule_a power_n of_o god_n in_o we_o that_o take_v we_o from_o the_o egyptian_a bondage_n of_o self_n and_o flesh_n and_o through_o the_o wilderness_n and_o sea_n much_o toil_a and_o toss_v up_o and_o down_o in_o selfe-workes_a and_o hard_a duty_n outward_a and_o carnal_a service_n the_o law_n still_o beat_v we_o to_o work_n of_o prayer_n humiliation_n make_v we_o to_o make_v brick_n without_o straw_n and_o set_v hard_a and_o cruel_a taskmaster_n over_o we_o so_o that_o we_o may_v say_v through_o many_o tribulation_n we_o must_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o when_o god_n power_n be_v destroy_v these_o enemy_n of_o our_o peace_n and_o bring_v we_o into_o that_o land_n of_o rest_n that_o spiritual_a canaan_n which_o we_o speak_v of_o then_o do_v we_o cease_v from_o these_o labour_n but_o true_o this_o i_o speak_v from_o experience_n so_o long_o as_o man_n be_v under_o moses_n they_o can_v enjoy_v neither_o must_v they_o come_v into_o this_o land_n and_o therefore_o i_o do_v not_o wonder_v that_o the_o scripture_n speak_v many_o shall_v seek_v to_o enter_v and_o not_o be_v able_a and_o straight_o and_o rarrow_a be_v the_o gate_n and_o few_o there_o be_v that_o find_v it_o i_o will_v not_o speak_v to_o discourage_v any_o but_o i_o real_o apprehend_v the_o great_a pretender_n to_o heaven_n scarce_o know_v what_o it_o be_v or_o will_v ever_o enjoy_v it_o but_o shall_v with_o moses_n only_o see_v it_o a_o far_o off_o god_n not_o be_v willing_a to_o do_v any_o great_a work_n in_o their_o spirit_n because_o of_o their_o unbelief_n but_o what_o happiness_n and_o comfort_n they_o do_v enjoy_v to_o who_o god_n appear_v thus_o spiritual_o in_o none_o know_v but_o themselves_o this_o be_v that_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o hebrew_n into_o which_o the_o soul_n of_o just_a man_n make_v perfect_a be_v proper_a and_o peculiar_a to_o god_n for_o i_o real_o see_v that_o after_o god_n be_v manifest_a in_o flesh_n and_o see_v of_o angel_n preach_v in_o the_o world_n and_o believe_v in_o that_o then_o he_o shall_v after_o all_o this_o be_v receive_v up_o into_o glory_n and_o that_o flesh_n and_o blood_n can_v inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o that_o nothing_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n but_o pure_a divine_a glory_n i_o can_v conceive_v any_o other_o resurrection_n then_o of_o carnal_a to_o be_v make_v spiritual_a and_o that_o be_v no_o other_o than_o the_o spiritual_a appearance_n of_o god_n so_o that_o when_o i_o will_v find_v out_o what_o the_o resurrection_n be_v i_o reflect_v upon_o my_o own_o spirit_n and_o trace_v the_o go_n of_o god_n there_o and_o there_o i_o can_v find_v god_n rise_v from_o one_o degree_n of_o glory_n to_o another_o and_o change_v i_o into_o his_o image_n by_o his_o spirit_n and_o so_o i_o see_v how_o he_o have_v lead_v i_o from_o one_o dispensation_n to_o another_o and_o from_o one_o ordinance_n to_o another_o till_o at_o last_o he_o appear_v so_o spiritual_o that_o he_o over-power_n all_o flesh_n and_o form_n which_o i_o admire_v in_o my_o carnal_a condition_n and_o appear_v to_o be_v that_o temple_n glory_n and_o light_v himself_o which_o i_o have_v think_v to_o have_v have_v in_o a_o sensible_a and_o carnal_a enjoyment_n and_o whereas_o man_n imagine_v that_o there_o be_v a_o fleshly_a resurrection_n and_o that_o the_o same_o body_n flesh_n and_o bone_n shall_v rise_v and_o remain_v a_o corporal_a and_o visible_a substance_n how_o this_o shall_v be_v i_o be_o sure_a they_o do_v not_o know_v themselves_o for_o however_o man_n speak_v that_o the_o corporal_a body_n shall_v be_v make_v a_o spiritual_a to_o i_o it_o be_v ridiculous_a because_o the_o scripture_n say_v that_o which_o be_v bear_v of_o flesh_n be_v flesh_n and_o can_v remain_v in_o no_o other_o capacity_n and_o beside_o i_o hope_v no_o man_n will_v deny_v that_o a_o spiritual_a thing_n can_v be_v see_v of_o a_o fleshly_a or_o that_o a_o external_a organ_n of_o the_o body_n can_v see_v a_o internal_a and_o invisible_a thing_n the_o apostle_n make_v it_o plain_a that_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v see_v be_v temporal_a and_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o see_v be_v eternal_a now_o how_o it_o can_v stand_v or_o consist_v with_o reason_n or_o scripture_n logic_n or_o rhetoric_n that_o man_n shall_v hold_v and_o maintain_v that_o man_n shall_v visible_o see_v one_o another_o in_o heaven_n as_o they_o call_v it_o and_o know_v one_o another_o and_o see_v their_o visible_a shape_n as_o they_o live_v in_o on_o the_o earth_n &_o yet_o they_o maintain_v on_o the_o other_o side_n this_o be_v a_o spiritual_a body_n i_o can_v see_v if_o this_o be_v divinity_n than_o i_o be_o not_o in_o the_o humanity_n but_o indeed_o i_o be_o willing_a to_o give_v way_n to_o their_o weakness_n because_o i_o have_v be_v as_o childish_a myself_o only_o i_o can_v but_o take_v notice_n of_o the_o babel_n and_o confusion_n that_o man_n be_v in_o and_o yet_o think_v themselves_o the_o only_a ambassador_n of_o peace_n and_o as_o if_o all_o knowledge_n and_o spiritual_a learning_n be_v confine_v to_o they_o but_o lay_v my_o hand_n gentle_o on_o their_o sore_n i_o let_v they_o pass_v and_o go_v on_o to_o that_o in_o hand_n and_o whereas_o the_o scripture_n speak_v of_o a_o spiritual_a body_n i_o conceive_v that_o there_o be_v a_o spiritual_a body_n and_o that_o this_o body_n must_v be_v raise_v which_o spiritual_a body_n i_o apprehend_v to_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o divine_a be_v or_o god_n in_o spirit_n term_v a_o body_n for_o these_o two_o reason_n as_o i_o conceive_v first_o because_o god_n be_v the_o body_n and_o substance_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o so_o it_o be_v say_v that_o this_o god_n dwell_v bodily_a or_o substantial_o in_o the_o man_n christ_n he_o be_v that_o person_n in_o who_o flesh_n god_n do_v more_o glorious_o appear_v then_o in_o any_o other_o so_o he_o be_v the_o most_o express_a image_n oâ—_n his_o father_n person_n and_o in_o this_o respect_n god_n may_v be_v term_v a_o spiritual_a body_n though_o for_o my_o part_n i_o dare_v not_o imagine_v he_o to_o have_v either_o person_n or_o body_n second_o god_n may_v be_v style_v a_o spiritual_a body_n because_o this_o body_n or_o divine_a be_v be_v and_o have_v its_o be_v in_o many_o member_n and_o so_o god_n be_v style_v the_o head_n of_o the_o body_n and_o christ_n be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o church_n which_o be_v his_o body_n wherein_o ireal_o apprehend_v that_o all_o the_o apperances_n of_o god_n in_o the_o saint_n as_o they_o be_v call_v &_o all_o the_o manifestation_n of_o god_n in_o flesh_n or_o in_o any_o fleshly_a or_o outward_a dispensation_n or_o form_n they_o be_v but_o the_o cark_n and_o shadow_n of_o god_n who_o be_v the_o body_n or_o substance_n of_o they_o all_o and_o all_o these_o die_a and_o vanish_v as_o they_o shall_v god_n shall_v only_o live_v and_o raise_v himself_o a_o spiritual_a body_n and_o therein_o live_v to_o all_o eternity_n so_o that_o it_o be_v spiritual_o true_a that_o the_o body_n which_o be_v fleshly_a shall_v perish_v and_o the_o spiritual_a body_n shall_v be_v raise_v as_o we_o shall_v have_v occasion_n in_o the_o sequel_n of_o the_o discourse_n to_o make_v out_o but_o because_o man_n be_v still_o pore_v upon_o a_o scripture_n without_o they_o to_o prove_v a_o carnal_a resurrection_n and_o will_v believe_v nothing_o but_o what_o they_o think_v the_o toss_v to_o and_o fro_o like_o the_o wave_n of_o the_o sea_n but_o when_o god_n appear_v and_o show_v i_o that_o there_o be_v no_o scripure_a god_n command_v worship_n but_o what_o be_v spiritual_a like_o himself_o and_o within_o man_n and_o what_o he_o be_v the_o author_n and_o end_n of_o and_o that_o all_o thing_n else_o be_v but_o shadow_n what_o swee_a peace_n and_o comfort_n i_o then_o do_v and_o do_v now_o enjoy_v i_o may_v tell_v you_o if_o i_o can_v for_o the_o truth_n be_v they_o be_v unspeakable_a and_o so_o it_o be_v the_o spiritual_a discovery_n of_o god_n that_o be_v the_o scripture_n i_o look_v upon_o and_o if_o so_o than_o i_o must_v needs_o infer_v that_o those_o in_o who_o christ_n be_v spiritual_o discover_v and_o that_o live_v in_o a_o spiritual_a enjoyment_n of_o he_o they_o must_v needs_o be_v best_o able_a to_o speak_v the_o language_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o to_o give_v the_o sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o it_o and_o be_v best_a acquaint_v with_o the_o original_n for_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o it_o they_o in_o who_o he_o be_v most_o spiritual_o discover_v must_v needs_o know_v the_o mind_n of_o it_o and_o what_o scripture_n be_v which_o may_v exclude_v all_o outward_a part_n of_o learning_n art_n and_o other_o qualification_n which_o man_n boast_v of_o for_o though_o they_o may_v serve_v to_o speak_v scripture_n outward_o and_o help_v to_o express_v man_n to_o one_o another_o and_o to_o read_v it_o in_o the_o several_a translation_n of_o it_o from_o one_o nation_n to_o another_o yet_o they_o all_o come_v short_a of_o the_o spiritual_a discovery_n of_o god_n and_o so_o be_v not_o essential_a to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o he_o be_v only_o know_v and_o see_v in_o his_o own_o light_n and_o which_o may_v likewise_o condemn_v the_o roman_a clergy_n i_o think_v the_o english_a divine_n may_v take_v their_o part_n herein_o that_o have_v attain_v a_o little_a skill_n in_o the_o several_a language_n of_o several_a country_n and_o receive_v ordination_n as_o they_o call_v it_o they_o think_v themselves_o so_o invest_v with_o power_n above_o their_o brethren_n that_o none_o must_v be_v infallible_a or_o authentic_a in_o the_o any_o private_a interpretation_n but_o holy_a man_n speak_v as_o they_o be_v inspire_v so_o that_o that_o which_o give_v the_o rise_n &_o ground_n of_o scripture_n be_v god_n speak_v in_o man_n or_o inspire_a man_n and_o they_o best_o know_v what_o be_v scripture_n in_o who_o god_n most_o powerful_o speak_v and_o it_o be_v as_o true_a that_o god_n speak_v spiritual_o in_o man_n and_o not_o in_o any_o audible_a voice_n or_o form_n of_o word_n for_o i_o do_v not_o conceive_v he_o ever_o speak_v so_o to_o any_o he_o be_v void_a of_o all_o shape_n and_o form_n or_o bodily_a organ_n and_o when_o god_n so_o speak_v that_o from_o natural_a they_o be_v make_v spiritual_a then_o be_v it_o indeed_o they_o be_v spiritual_o teach_v and_o to_o this_o sweet_o fall_v in_o that_o of_o david_n thou_o have_v teach_v i_o truth_n in_o the_o secret_a part_n then_o indeed_o man_n come_v to_o be_v convince_v of_o their_o former_a weak_a and_o carnal_a condition_n when_o god_n spiritual_o discover_v himself_o in_o they_o so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o read_n or_o peruse_v of_o the_o scripture_n in_o the_o letter_n of_o it_o for_o so_o a_o man_n may_v read_v all_o his_o life-time_n and_o be_v never_o the_o better_a that_o teach_v man_n spiritual_o but_o when_o the_o scripture_n be_v spiritual_o make_v out_o and_o interpret_v in_o they_o than_o they_o be_v teach_v and_o then_o it_o be_v isaac_n and_o ishmael_n jacob_n and_o esau_n david_n and_o saul_n and_o so_o the_o good_a king_n and_o the_o bad_a the_o good_a prophet_n and_o the_o wicked_a the_o true_a apostle_n and_o the_o false_a they_o do_v but_o all_o express_a both_o estate_n and_o be_v not_o so_o much_o to_o be_v look_v upon_o in_o their_o several_a person_n but_o be_v real_o fulfil_v and_o appliable_a to_o every_o man_n in_o each_o estate_n degree_n and_o condition_n whatsoever_o as_o to_o instance_n it_o tell_v we_o of_o the_o man_n christ_n who_o live_v and_o die_v at_o jerusalem_n and_o that_o he_o rise_v
