have_v they_o still_o in_o we_o while_o we_o live_v they_o will_v be_v in_o we_o do_v what_o we_o can_v we_o shall_v find_v much_o ignorance_n of_o god_n and_o all_o his_o way_n much_o folly_n which_o keep_v we_o from_o take_v any_o thing_n to_o heart_n which_o respect_v god_n or_o ourselves_o much_o uncircumcision_n of_o heart_n which_o make_v we_o that_o we_o can_v be_v holy_o poor_a in_o spirit_n though_o conscious_a of_o innumerable_a motive_n which_o shall_v induce_v we_o hereunto_o much_o dross_n of_o selfe-sufficiency_n which_o will_v not_o let_v we_o perceive_v what_o need_n we_o have_v of_o god_n presence_n for_o the_o quicken_a strengthen_v comfort_v direct_v and_o prosper_v of_o we_o in_o all_o our_o way_n though_o the_o breath_n of_o our_o nostril_n be_v not_o more_o necessary_a for_o our_o natural_a be_v than_o his_o grace_n be_v for_o our_o spiritual_a welfare_n and_o comfort_n these_o evil_n do_v renew_v their_o assault_n on_o we_o every_o day_n and_o notwithstanding_o we_o renew_v daily_o our_o endeavour_v against_o they_o yet_o can_v we_o get_v that_o full_a conquest_n over_o they_o if_o we_o can_v assemble_v all_o the_o saint_n together_o and_o ask_v they_o whether_o they_o be_v without_o sin_n 36._o what_o do_v we_o think_v will_v they_o answer_v whither_o that_o which_o pelagius_n say_v or_o that_o which_o john_n the_o apostle_n say_v how_o great_a soever_o their_o excellency_n be_v if_o they_o can_v be_v ask_v they_o will_v cry_v out_o with_o one_o voice_n 8._o if_o we_o say_v we_o have_v no_o sin_n we_o deceive_v ourselves_o and_o there_o be_v no_o truth_n in_o we_o and_o will_v they_o perhaps_o say_v so_o more_o humble_o then_o true_o god_n place_v not_o the_o commendation_n of_o humility_n in_o any_o part_n of_o falsity_n and_o therefore_o if_o they_o speak_v this_o true_o they_o have_v sin_n because_o they_o humble_o confess_v it_o and_o the_o truth_n be_v in_o they_o &_o if_o they_o say_v they_o have_v sin_n when_o they_o have_v none_o at_o all_o they_o do_v lie_v and_o so_o do_v sin_n in_o lie_v and_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o in_o they_o but_o when_o we_o be_v in_o christ_n all_o our_o sin_n be_v quite_o abolish_v and_o not_o till_o then_o and_o therefore_o to_o be_v with_o christ_n be_v far_o better_a second_o be_v it_o not_o far_o better_a to_o be_v in_o such_o a_o condition_n where_o we_o shall_v be_v free_v from_o all_o trouble_n cross_n misery_n disease_n and_o discontent_n then_o to_o live_v in_o poverty_n debt_n disease_n disgrace_n discontent_n and_o infinite_a cross_n even_o those_o thing_n often_o
