commodious_a for_o himself_o neglect_v the_o commodity_n of_o other_o yea_o he_o prefer_v his_o private_a commodity_n before_o the_o common_a not_o regard_v what_o hurt_n may_v redound_v to_o the_o religion_n thereby_o so_o he_o may_v have_v what_o he_o desire_v himself_o and_o what_o be_v this_o but_o to_o spoil_v a_o religious_a man_n of_o charity_n discretion_n and_o all_o 9_o neither_o be_v superior_a industrious_a and_o diligent_a in_o procure_v necessarye_n appertain_v to_o meat_n drink_n clothing_n and_o like_a commodity_n and_o in_o all_o event_n to_o take_v a_o special_a care_n in_o patronise_a defend_v and_o help_v they_o but_o they_o wisâ—_n he_o not_o to_o be_v so_o vigilant_a in_o observation_n oâ—_n religious_a discipline_n which_o depend_v oâ—_n obedience_n and_o this_o desire_n be_v much_o worse_a than_o the_o former_a for_o to_o wish_v this_o be_v nothing_o else_o then_o to_o have_v a_o will_n and_o desire_n thaâ—_n the_o superior_a make_v his_o subject_n not_o wise_a and_o more_o ready_a than_o the_o child_n of_o light_n 5._o another_o condition_n be_v that_o obedience_n be_v intiere_a for_o such_o be_v my_o own_o obedience_n it_o shall_v be_v enough_o for_o religious_a man_n to_o love_v this_o entiernesse_n if_o they_o thorough_o understand_v that_o this_o be_v my_o will_n and_o such_o the_o superior_n intention_n that_o what_o be_v command_v be_v the_o thing_n by_o the_o superior_a command_v and_o leave_v the_o rest_n undo_v i_o know_v not_o who_o have_v make_v they_o judge_n or_o interpreter_n of_o obedience_n neither_o do_v i_o know_v whence_o they_o have_v learn_v that_o it_o be_v not_o necessary_a to_o obey_v to_o all_o that_o the_o superior_a decreeth_n or_o command_v 6._o let_v they_o say_v when_o they_o vow_v obedience_n whether_o they_o think_v they_o be_v to_o obey_v in_o all_o thing_n or_o but_o in_o some_o whether_o they_o understand_v that_o they_o be_v always_o to_o obey_v or_o only_o for_o a_o time_n and_o if_o they_o understand_v that_o they_o be_v to_o obey_v not_o in_o all_o thing_n but_o for_o a_o certain_a time_n only_o who_o will_v accept_v of_o such_o a_o vow_n sure_o i_o accept_v not_o the_o vow_n to_o the_o world_n why_o desire_v thou_o to_o be_v honour_v of_o it_o a_o dead_a body_n care_v not_o whether_o it_o be_v place_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n or_o on_o the_o left_a in_o a_o honourable_a place_n or_o whether_o cap_n and_o knee_n be_v give_v it_o or_o not_o but_o if_o thou_o seek_v for_o a_o more_o honourable_a place_n or_o a_o great_a office_n if_o thou_o desire_v that_o other_o shall_v give_v thou_o place_n how_o be_v thou_o dead_a to_o the_o world_n neither_o do_v it_o satisfy_v i_o if_o thou_o say_v thou_o desire_v honour_n for_o my_o glory_n and_o honour_n that_o thou_o may_v have_v great_a authority_n with_o man_n and_o by_o help_n thereof_o may_v be_v able_a to_o do_v more_o good_a with_o other_o for_o if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o appertain_v to_o i_o and_o not_o much_o that_o a_o religious_a man_n conserve_v and_o maintain_v his_o good_a health_n by_o fit_a mean_n for_o the_o do_v of_o my_o service_n but_o this_o displease_v i_o that_o under_o pretence_n of_o preserve_v the_o health_n of_o body_n he_o make_v over_o much_o of_o it_o i_o like_v not_o that_o religious_a man_n who_o will_v usurp_v and_o take_v upon_o he_o a_o physician_n office_n and_o judge_v himself_o what_o be_v for_o and_o what_o be_v against_o his_o health_n for_o of_o this_o it_o happen_v that_o whatsoever_o please_v his_o appetite_n that_o be_v good_a for_o he_o &_o what_o agree_v not_o with_o his_o taste_n that_o be_v hurtful_a for_o his_o health_n neither_o do_v he_o offend_v i_o less_o because_o he_o say_v he_o do_v it_o for_o my_o great_a and_o better_a service_n and_o indeed_o it_o be_v not_o to_o serve_v i_o but_o to_o serve_v his_o own_o gust_n and_o sensuality_n it_o be_v my_o service_n when_o every_o one_o mortify_v his_o own_o flesh_n as_o much_o as_o be_v requisite_a and_o it_o need_v o_o how_o many_o religious_a be_v there_o who_o under_o a_o pretext_n of_o conserve_n their_o health_n become_v the_o slave_n of_o their_o own_o desire_n the_o health_n be_v better_a keep_v by_o parsimony_n and_o moderation_n then_o by_o the_o procure_n of_o thing_n appertain_v to_o the_o taste_n yea_o by_o this_o the_o health_n be_v impair_v for_o that_o there_o be_v excess_n in_o all_o thing_n common_o that_o have_v pleasure_n with_o they_o moreover_o it_o be_v a_o obligation_n proper_a to_o a_o religious_a person_n to_o yield_v no_o more_o to_o the_o body_n than_o what_o be_v needful_a for_o entertain_v of_o life_n &_o not_o what_o be_v for_o the_o stir_v up_o of_o the_o flesh_n 4._o if_o the_o religious_a man_n will_v examine_v whence_o arise_v that_o so_o great_a a_o care_n he_o have_v of_o himself_o and_o of_o his_o body_n he_o will_v not_o be_v so_o anxious_a and_o importune_v in_o seek_v after_o the_o commodity_n thereof_o in_o some_o it_o grow_v of_o a_o superfluous_a commiseration_n and_o pity_n towards_o themselves_o because_o they_o can_v wish_v to_o yield_v their_o body_n some_o pleasure_n in_o other_o it_o proceed_v of_o a_o magnifical_a opinion_n they_o conceive_v of_o their_o own_o estimation_n for_o whereas_o they_o be_v persuade_v that_o it_o great_o import_v the_o common_a wealth_n if_o they_o live_v long_o their_o care_n be_v all_o in_o all_o about_o the_o preservation_n of_o their_o health_n both_o these_o namely_o commiseration_n and_o estimation_n be_v selfe-loves_a daughter_n and_o what_o good_a fruit_n can_v come_v of_o so_o dangerous_a a_o root_n these_o man_n peradventure_o think_v that_o if_o they_o be_v go_v my_o church_n will_v come_v to_o decay_v or_o their_o religion_n will_v come_v to_o ruin_v they_o be_v great_o deceive_v many_o other_o pillar_n have_v fall_v and_o yet_o both_o my_o church_n and_o religion_n hold_v their_o own_o that_o care_n appertain_v to_o i_o aswell_o to_o conserve_v both_o as_o to_o provide_v they_o of_o good_a workman_n and_o labourer_n and_o i_o under_o take_v that_o the_o religion_n when_o such_o man_n be_v go_v shall_v not_o only_o not_o come_v to_o ruin_v but_o shall_v further_o receive_v a_o increase_n because_o those_o common_o who_o have_v take_v less_o pain_n in_o religion_n and_o have_v most_o trouble_v it_o be_v those_o who_o have_v be_v most_o of_o all_o give_v to_o their_o pleasure_n and_o commodity_n of_o body_n and_o these_o be_v they_o who_o do_v by_o their_o example_n
to_o be_v diligent_a in_o all_o his_o action_n chap._n viii_o son_n a_o servant_n that_o be_v diligent_a not_o only_o in_o his_o ministry_n and_o service_n but_o also_o in_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v
