capable_a always_o to_o acquire_v a_o great_a perfection_n ad_fw-la infinitum_fw-la which_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o all_o creature_n viz._n to_o increase_v and_o infinite_o advance_v towards_o a_o far_a perfection_n as_o be_v before_o demonstrate_v but_o what_o far_a progress_n in_o goodness_n or_o perfection_n have_v a_o dead_a matter_n because_o after_o it_o have_v suffer_v infinite_a change_n of_o motion_n and_o figure_n it_o be_v constrain_v always_o to_o remain_v dead_a as_o before_z and_o if_o motion_n and_o figure_n contribute_v nothing_o to_o the_o receive_n of_o life_n then_o certain_o this_o be_v make_v never_o the_o better_a nay_o be_v not_o in_o the_o least_o degree_n promote_v in_o goodness_n for_o suppose_v this_o dead_a matter_n have_v undergo_v all_o form_n and_o be_v transmute_v into_o all_o kind_n of_o figure_n even_o the_o most_o regular_a and_o exact_a what_o do_v this_o profit_n this_o matter_n or_o body_n because_o it_o want_v all_o life_n and_o which_o be_v perform_v thereby_o but_o a_o mere_a dead_a body_n or_o matter_n require_v no_o kind_n of_o motion_n or_o figure_n nor_o in_o itself_o be_v perfect_v more_o by_o one_o motion_n or_o figure_n than_o by_o another_o for_o it_o be_v alike_o indifferent_a to_o all_o motion_n and_o figure_n whatsoever_o and_o by_o consequence_n be_v not_o perfect_v or_o better_v by_o any_o of_o they_o and_o then_o what_o advantage_n will_v it_o have_v from_o all_o these_o help_n if_o it_o always_o remain_v a_o dead_a and_o impassable_a thing_n §_o 3._o my_o three_o reason_n be_v draw_v from_o the_o divine_a goodness_n but_o we_o shall_v urge_v this_o argument_n a_o little_a far_o the_o divine_a attribute_n be_v common_o and_o right_o distinguish_v into_o communicable_a and_o incommunicable_a yet_o the_o bulk_n or_o quantity_n not_o increase_v that_o seem_v whole_o irrational_a and_o it_o will_v be_v a_o mere_a impossibility_n and_o contradiction_n to_o grant_v such_o a_o intimate_a presence_n in_o creature_n which_o only_o agree_v unto_o god_n and_o christ_n as_o creator_n who_o prerogative_n it_o be_v to_o be_v intrinsical_o present_a in_o creature_n whereas_o no_o creature_n can_v have_v that_o intrinseck_n presence_n in_o its_o fellow_n creature_n because_o than_o it_o will_v cease_v to_o be_v a_o creature_n and_o obtain_v one_o of_o the_o incommunicable_a attribute_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n which_o be_v intrinseck_n presence_n this_o i_o say_v be_v primary_o to_o be_v attribute_v to_o god_n and_o secondary_o to_o christ_n in_o as_o much_o as_o he_o be_v medium_fw-la quid_fw-la or_o a_o certain_a medium_fw-la between_o god_n and_o creature_n and_o who_o as_o he_o be_v partaker_n of_o mutability_n and_o immutability_n of_o eternity_n and_o time_n so_o he_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v partaker_n of_o body_n and_o spirit_n and_o consequent_o of_o place_n and_o extension_n for_o in_o as_o much_o as_o his_o body_n be_v of_o another_o substance_n than_o the_o body_n of_o all_o other_o creature_n as_o of_o who_o he_o be_v the_o near_a beginning_n to_o god_n it_o may_v be_v true_o say_v he_o be_v intrinsical_o present_a in_o they_o and_o yet_o not_o so_o as_o to_o be_v confound_v with_o they_o for_o to_o suppose_v one_o creature_n intrinsical_o present_a in_o another_o so_o as_o to_o be_v mingle_v and_o most_o perfect_o unite_v with_o it_o and_o yet_o its_o quantity_n or_o extension_n not_o increase_v that_o confound_v the_o creature_n and_o make_v two_o or_o more_o to_o be_v but_o one_o yea_o according_a to_o this_o hypothesis_n it_o may_v be_v say_v the_o whole_a creation_n be_v reducible_a into_o the_o quantity_n of_o the_o least_o grain_n or_o dust_n because_o every_o part_n will_v be_v suppose_v to_o penetrate_v another_o and_o no_o great_a extension_n follow_v than_o of_o one_o part._n but_o if_o it_o be_v say_v that_o only_o prove_v that_o spirit_n may_v be_v reduce_v into_o so_o small_a a_o space_n but_o not_o body_n because_o body_n be_v impenetrable_a i_o answer_v this_o be_v but_o a_o beg_n of_o the_o question_n because_o they_o have_v not_o yet_o prove_v that_o body_n and_o spirit_n be_v distinct_a substance_n which_o perpetual_o change_v with_o time_n see_v time_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o motion_n or_o change_n of_o the_o creature_n from_o one_o state_n or_o condition_n into_o another_o and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o case_n of_o time_n and_o creature_n which_o be_v in_o time_n so_o also_o in_o the_o case_n of_o place_n bulk_n or_o quantity_n for_o as_o in_o god_n there_o be_v no_o time_n so_o also_o in_o he_o there_o be_v no_o bulk_n or_o corporeal_a quantity_n but_o in_o creature_n there_o be_v both_o time_n and_o corporeal_a quantity_n because_o otherwise_o they_o will_v be_v either_o god_n or_o nothing_o which_o be_v impossible_a for_o whatsoever_o quantity_n bulk_n or_o extension_n any_o creature_n have_v it_o retain_v the_o same_o as_o something_o which_o be_v of_o its_o own_o proper_o penetration_n which_o agree_v to_o body_n as_o well_o as_o spirit_n as_o some_o body_n that_o be_v less_o gross_a may_v penetrate_v another_o that_o be_v more_o gross_a but_o two_o body_n of_o a_o equal_a thickness_n can_v penetrate_v each_o other_o the_o same_o may_v be_v say_v of_o spirit_n which_o have_v their_o degree_n of_o more_o or_o less_o grossness_n as_o body_n have_v neither_o be_v there_o any_o other_o difference_n between_o body_n and_o spirit_n if_o body_n be_v not_o take_v in_o their_o sense_n who_o teach_v that_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n mere_o dead_a and_o
