must_v either_o suffer_v blow_n i_o mean_v the_o buffet_n of_o satan_n or_o else_o fall_v one_o of_o the_o two_o what_o do_v we_o always_o in_o this_o life_n but_o fight_v continual_o against_o principality_n against_o power_n against_o the_o ruler_n of_o the_o darkness_n of_o this_o world_n against_o spiritual_a wickedness_n in_o high_a place_n beside_o we_o have_v combat_v with_o covetousness_n with_o inordinate_a lust_n with_o angrinesse_n with_o vainglory_n our_o mind_n be_v enclose_v and_o beset_v round_o about_o with_o the_o assault_n of_o satan_n and_o with_o manifold_a temptation_n and_o these_o come_v so_o thick_a one_o upon_o the_o neck_n of_o another_o that_o it_o can_v scarce_o meet_v with_o every_o one_o of_o they_o and_o they_o that_o it_o do_v meet_v with_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o resist_v almost_o any_o one_o of_o they_o if_o covetousness_n be_v subdue_v lust_n arise_v if_o lust_n be_v master_v vainglory_n stir_n if_o vainglory_n be_v vanquish_v angrinesse_n come_v in_o place_n pride_n swell_v envy_n urge_v and_o heat_n of_o spirit_n break_v forth_o and_o make_v discord_n the_o world_n also_o and_o our_o own_o flesh_n make_v many_o assault_n upon_o we_o and_o much_o annoy_n us._n of_o all_o this_o and_o a_o great_a deal_n more_o do_v death_n make_v a_o end_n and_o what_o shall_v i_o say_v more_o for_o the_o time_n will_v fail_v i_o to_o produce_v all_o the_o meditation_n that_o make_v for_o this_o purpose_n and_o that_o which_o have_v be_v say_v do_v abundant_o prove_v that_o the_o death_n of_o the_o saint_n as_o the_o psalmist_n here_o say_v be_v precious_a objection_n visible_a it_o by_o the_o preciousness_n of_o the_o saint_n death_n be_v not_o visible_a but_o some_o may_v think_v that_o all_o this_o be_v but_o word_n and_o that_o he_o see_v no_o such_o matter_n in_o the_o death_n of_o the_o saint_n but_o that_o they_o die_v as_o other_o man_n do_v if_o their_o death_n be_v so_o precious_a why_o do_v it_o not_o appear_v so_o answer_n their_o death_n be_v precious_a but_o yet_o it_o do_v not_o appear_v so_o first_o because_o it_o be_v no_o treasure_n of_o this_o world_n but_o a_o heavenly_a treasure_n i_o say_v the_o preciousness_n of_o the_o saint_n death_n be_v a_o heavenly_a treasure_n and_o therefore_o hide_v from_o the_o sight_n of_o carnal_a eye_n in_o that_o treasury_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o jesus_n christ_n by_o who_o death_n it_o be_v make_v precious_a second_o notwithstanding_o it_o appear_v not_o yet_o we_o have_v a_o most_o sure_a word_n for_o it_o even_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o can_v lie_v witness_v that_o it_o be_v so_o and_o that_o be_v better_a for_o we_o than_o if_o it_o do_v appear_v for_o our_o eye_n may_v deceive_v we_o as_o they_o that_o take_v christ_n for_o a_o spirit_n and_o our_o judgement_n be_v dim_a and_o not_o able_a to_o judge_v in_o such_o matter_n but_o god_n word_n can_v deceive_v we_o but_o put_v we_o out_o of_o doubt_n in_o the_o matter_n three_o the_o time_n be_v not_o yet_o come_v that_o it_o must_v appear_v but_o it_o will_v come_v and_o then_o it_o shall_v be_v manifest_a to_o the_o whole_a world_n that_o it_o have_v be_v so_o four_o though_o it_o appear_v not_o to_o mortal_a eye_n yet_o we_o see_v it_o by_o faith_n our_o eye_n be_v no_o judge_n in_o this_o case_n and_o the_o world_n be_v worse_a than_o our_o eye_n for_o the_o glory_n be_v not_o earthly_a nor_o know_v to_o the_o man_n of_o this_o world_n whereof_o we_o speak_v but_o the_o treasure_n be_v spiritual_a and_o of_o the_o spiritual_a man_n it_o be_v discern_v know_v thyself_o that_o by_o faith_n thou_o be_v christ_n and_o he_o thou_o that_o he_o die_v for_o thou_o and_o thou_o live_v by_o he_o that_o thou_o be_v a_o member_n of_o his_o body_n notice_n of_o god_n goodness_n to_o his_o saint_n and_o too_o too_o common_o see_v that_o general_o among_o man_n the_o saint_n of_o all_o other_o be_v lest_o regard_v but_o with_o the_o lord_n of_o heaven_n there_o be_v none_o regard_v with_o any_o special_a favour_n but_o only_o the_o saint_n and_o these_o he_o respect_v after_o a_o special_a manner_n as_o the_o psalmist_n faith_n behold_v 34.15_o psal_n 33.18_o &_o 34.15_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v upon_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o upon_o they_o that_o hope_v in_o his_o mercy_n many_o parent_n be_v very_o careful_a for_o the_o welfare_n of_o their_o child_n but_o no_o parent_n care_n can_v be_v compare_v with_o the_o care_n which_o god_n have_v of_o his_o saint_n for_o notwithstanding_o the_o great_a care_n of_o the_o best_a parent_n in_o the_o world_n yet_o some_o thing_n they_o shall_v see_v to_o befall_v their_o child_n which_o they_o can_v do_v to_o and_o which_o they_o be_v not_o able_a for_o their_o life_n to_o prevent_v but_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o lord_n there_o be_v no_o such_o thing_n can_v befall_v his_o saint_n but_o whatsoever_o he_o please_v and_o whatsoever_o his_o hand_n and_o his_o counsel_n have_v determine_v before_o to_o be_v do_v that_o only_o shall_v befall_v they_o both_o in_o life_n and_o death_n use_v 2_o second_o this_o serve_v to_o banish_v from_o the_o heart_n of_o every_o good_a man_n distraction_n to_o banish_v distraction_n all_o distract_n thought_n whether_o concern_v maintenance_n bodily_a safety_n protection_n from_o danger_n or_o whatsoever_o thing_n they_o die_v in_o the_o due_a time_n that_o be_v to_o say_v in_o that_o time_n which_o be_v best_a for_o they_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o good_a it_o be_v the_o portion_n of_o bloody_a and_o
