faithful_a in_o all_o his_o word_n he_o will_v ever_o be_v mindful_a of_o his_o covenant_n the_o truth_n of_o the_o lord_n endure_v for_o ever_o and_o although_o our_o faith_n be_v not_o so_o strong_a and_o therefore_o our_o prayer_n so_o hearty_a and_o zealous_a as_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v yea_o though_o our_o faith_n be_v faint_a and_o cold_a yet_o let_v we_o hold_v fast_o this_o principle_n that_o our_o prayer_n be_v not_o frustrate_a or_o in_o vain_a for_o our_o comfort_n herein_o we_o have_v a_o example_n in_o the_o father_n which_o bring_v his_o son_n first_o to_o the_o apostle_n and_o
our_o tentation_n give_v we_o truce_n so_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o hasten_v unto_o god_n for_o help_v final_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o glory_n of_o god_n ought_v to_o draw_v we_o whole_o unto_o it_o not_o by_o fit_n but_o continual_o that_o all_o time_n shall_v be_v fit_a and_o convenient_a for_o we_o to_o pray_v wherefore_o not_o without_o cause_n we_o be_v so_o often_o command_v to_o pray_v continual_o and_o though_o we_o be_v not_o drive_v with_o like_a necessity_n at_o all_o time_n to_o pray_v yet_o in_o this_o case_n s_o james_n teach_v we_o what_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v if_o any_o man_n be_v heavy_a or_o afflict_a say_v he_o let_v he_o pray_v that_o be_v let_v he_o crave_v god_n help_n and_o comfort_n and_o who_o so_o be_v merry_a let_v he_o sing_v that_o be_v let_v he_o praise_v god_n moreover_o the_o benefit_n and_o blessing_n of_o god_n be_v large_a and_o plentiful_a towards_o we_o which_o way_n soever_o we_o turn_v we_o that_o we_o can_v never_o want_v matter_n and_o occasion_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n and_o see_v we_o ought_v to_o acknowledge_v god_n to_o be_v the_o author_n and_o giver_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n we_o shall_v always_o receive_v the_o same_o at_o his_o hand_n with_o thanksgiving_n for_o to_o that_o end_n god_n continual_o bestow_v his_o good_a blessing_n and_o benefit_n upon_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v continual_o show_v forth_o his_o praise_n and_o be_v thankful_a unto_o he_o for_o the_o same_o and_o so_o we_o render_v unto_o he_o his_o due_a honour_n and_o s._n paul_n when_o he_o say_v that_o they_o be_v sanctify_v by_o the_o word_n and_o prayer_n signify_v that_o to_o we_o they_o be_v not_o holy_a and_o clean_a without_o the_o word_n and_o prayer_n and_o therefore_o david_n say_v when_o he_o have_v feel_v the_o liberality_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o there_o be_v put_v into_o his_o mouth_n a_o new_a song_n that_o be_v a_o new_a occasion_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n whereby_o he_o signify_v that_o it_o be_v a_o wicked_a silence_n if_o we_o pass_v over_o any_o of_o god_n benefit_n without_o praise_n see_v that_o as_o often_o as_o he_o do_v good_a unto_o we_o so_o often_o he_o give_v we_o occasion_n to_o speak_v good_a of_o he_o we_o shall_v therefore_o continual_o that_o be_v as_o much_o as_o be_v possible_a at_o all_o time_n in_o all_o place_n and_o in_o thing_n as_o occasion_n be_v continual_o offer_v unto_o we_o lift_v up_o our_o prayer_n unto_o god_n in_o crave_v help_n at_o his_o hand_n and_o confess_v his_o praise_n whereby_o we_o may_v both_o obtain_v of_o he_o all_o good_a thing_n and_o also_o praise_n and_o magnify_v his_o name_n for_o all_o how_o this_o perseverance_n in_o prayer_n be_v require_v of_o we_o christ_n himself_o teach_v he_o set_v forth_o one_o manner_n of_o prayer_n in_o the_o which_o he_o have_v brief_o comprehend_v all_o such_o thing_n as_o we_o ought_v yea_o or_o in_o any_o wise_a may_v ask_v of_o god_n wherein_o he_o have_v express_v what_o be_v due_a please_a and_o acceptable_a to_o he_o what_o be_v necessary_a for_o we_o and_o what_o he_o will_v grant_v so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o herein_o omit_v that_o may_v be_v think_v upon_o to_o the_o praise_n &_o glory_n of_o god_n or_o come_v into_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n for_o his_o profit_n and_o commodity_n and_o this_o be_v that_o prayer_n that_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n teach_v his_o disciple_n when_o they_o ask_v of_o he_o how_o they_o shall_v pray_v whosoever_o therefore_o shall_v ask_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o contain_v in_o the_o prayer_n which_o be_v find_v in_o the_o scripture_n &_o which_o do_v continual_o proceed_v from_o the_o hart_n of_o the_o faithful_a be_v refer_v by_o the_o direction_n of_o god_n spirit_n unto_o this_o prayer_n howsoever_o they_o differ_v in_o the_o variety_n of_o word_n many_o good_a and_o godly_a man_n even_o in_o our_o day_n well_o exercise_v in_o prayer_n have_v leave_v unto_o we_o
