judgement_n for_o by_o thy_o word_n thou_o shall_v be_v justify_v and_o by_o thy_o word_n thou_o shall_v be_v condemn_v i_o need_v not_o tell_v you_o what_o these_o idle_a word_n be_v profane_v atheistical_a discourse_n blaspheme_v god_n and_o his_o providence_n ridicul_v his_o worship_n and_o religion_n the_o doctrine_n and_o precept_n of_o it_o and_o those_o miracle_n which_o be_v wrought_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o the_o confirmation_n of_o christianity_n to_o which_o our_o saviour_n particular_o refer_v in_o this_o place_n or_o obscene_a and_o wanton_a discourse_n which_o s._n paul_n call_v corrupt_a communication_n which_o shall_v never_o come_v into_o the_o mouth_n of_o christian_n and_o all_o revile_v and_o reproachful_a speech_n slander_v backbiting_a rail_a which_o our_o saviour_n threaten_v with_o eternal_a damnation_n but_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o whosoever_o be_v angry_a with_o his_o brother_n without_o a_o cause_n shall_v be_v in_o danger_n of_o the_o judgement_n and_o whosoever_o shall_v say_v to_o his_o brother_n racha_n shall_v be_v in_o danger_n of_o the_o counsel_n but_o whosoever_o shall_v say_v thou_o fool_n shall_v be_v in_o danger_n of_o hellfire_n 5_o mat._n 22._o and_o st._n james_n with_o a_o peculiar_a respect_n to_o such_o angry_a reproachful_a language_n tell_v we_o if_o any_o man_n among_o you_o seem_v to_o be_v religious_a and_o bridle_v not_o his_o tongue_n but_o deceive_v his_o own_o heart_n that_o man_n religion_n be_v vain_a 1_o james_n 26._o and_o yet_o i_o need_v not_o tell_v any_o man_n how_o common_a this_o practice_n be_v atheistical_a profane_a obscene_a revile_v discourse_n make_v up_o the_o wit_n and_o humour_n and_o conversation_n of_o the_o age_n the_o brisk_a and_o pleasant_a talker_n will_v sit_v like_o moop_n and_o gaze_v upon_o one_o another_o without_o one_o wise_a word_n to_o say_v unless_o you_o allow_v they_o to_o laugh_v at_o god_n and_o religion_n and_o all_o thing_n sacred_a to_o make_v a_o mock_n of_o sin_n to_o tickle_v their_o fancy_n with_o obscene_a jest_n or_o spiteful_a reflection_n for_o be_v it_o ever_o possible_a that_o such_o man_n shall_v have_v nothing_o to_o laugh_v at_o or_o nothing_o to_o rail_v at_o they_o be_v undo_v these_o man_n never_o think_v of_o be_v judge_v for_o their_o word_n and_o yet_o there_o be_v as_o much_o reason_n we_o shall_v be_v judge_v for_o our_o word_n as_o for_o our_o action_n word_n be_v the_o first_o and_o most_o natural_a indication_n of_o the_o temper_n and_o disposition_n of_o the_o mind_n for_o out_o of_o the_o fullness_n of_o the_o heart_n the_o mouth_n speak_v our_o word_n betray_v the_o atheism_n and_o infidelity_n the_o lust_n and_o wantonness_n revenge_n and_o malice_n and_o other_o evil_a passion_n which_o be_v within_o man_n be_v general_o more_o cautious_a of_o their_o action_n than_o of_o their_o word_n and_o they_o can_v speak_v their_o mind_n when_o they_o can_v act_v and_o therefore_o may_v be_v better_o know_v by_o their_o word_n than_o by_o their_o action_n nay_o word_n do_v not_o only_o betray_v what_o be_v within_o but_o show_v what_o the_o heart_n most_o abound_v with_o for_o out_o of_o the_o fullness_n of_o the_o heart_n the_o mouth_n speak_v that_o man_n talk_v of_o most_o which_o be_v most_o in_o their_o thought_n and_o which_o they_o be_v most_o full_a of_o so_o full_a that_o they_o can_v open_v their_o mouth_n but_o it_o run_v out_o there_o be_v some_o fool_n that_o only_o say_v in_o their_o heart_n there_o be_v no_o god._n such_o thought_n as_o these_o lie_v low_a and_o secret_a be_v not_o come_v to_o maturity_n and_o perfection_n yet_o to_o be_v talk_v but_o when_o man_n venture_v to_o say_v this_o with_o their_o mouth_n when_o they_o come_v to_o be_v talk_v and_o dispute_v fool_n it_o be_v a_o sign_n they_o be_v very_o full_a of_o these_o thought_n and_o either_o be_v atheist_n or_o have_v a_o great_a mind_n to_o be_v so_o there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o lascivious_a wanton_n who_o yet_o be_v very_o modest_a in_o conversation_n and_o will_v not_o offend_v chaste_a ear_n with_o their_o wanton_a discourse_n but_o when_o man_n think_v they_o can_v be_v witty_a nor_o pleasant_a company_n without_o lard_v their_o talk_n with_o obscene_a jest_n and_o put_v modest_a matron_n and_o virgin_n to_o the_o blush_v they_o have_v arrive_v at_o a_o great_a perfection_n of_o lewdness_n and_o do_v not_o such_o man_n deserve_v to_o be_v judge_v but_o beside_o this_o do_v any_o thing_n do_v more_o mischief_n in_o the_o world_n than_o word_n as_o little_a as_o some_o man_n make_v of_o they_o can_v there_o be_v a_o great_a contempt_n of_o god_n then_o for_o man_n to_o deny_v his_o be_v to_o reproach_v his_o providence_n to_o ridicule_n his_o worship_n st._n jude_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o lord_n come_v with_o ten_o thousand_o of_o his_o saint_n to_o execute_v vengeance_n upon_o all_o and_o to_o convince_v all_o that_o be_v ungodly_a among_o they_o of_o all_o their_o ungodly_a deed_n which_o they_o have_v ungodly_a commit_v and_o of_o all_o the_o hard_a speech_n which_o ungodly_a sinner_n have_v speak_v against_o he_o judas_n 14_o 15_o v._n do_v any_o thing_n more_o tend_v to_o corrupt_v the_o mind_n of_o man_n than_o such_o word_n which_o st._n paul_n say_v eat_v like_o a_o canker_n 2_o tim._n 2.17_o and_o prey_n upon_o the_o very_a vital_n of_o religion_n what_o tend_v more_o to_o corrupt_v man_n life_n then_o lewd_a and_o wanton_a talk_n as_o st._n paul_n tell_v we_o that_o evil_a communication_n corrupt_v good_a manner_n what_o make_v more_o division_n in_o the_o world_n and_o give_v great_a disturbance_n to_o neighbour_n and_o family_n and_o private_a person_n then_o slander_v and_o backbiting_a and_o tale-bearing_a i_o be_o sure_a st._n james_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o tongue_n be_v a_o little_a member_n and_o boast_v great_a thing_n behold_v how_o great_a a_o matter_n a_o little_a fire_n kindle_v and_o the_o tongue_n be_v a_o fire_n a_o world_n of_o iniquity_n so_o be_v the_o tongue_n among_o our_o member_n that_o it_o defile_v the_o whole_a body_n and_o set_v on_o fire_n the_o course_n of_o nature_n and_o it_o be_v set_v on_o fire_n of_o hell_n 3_o jam._n 5_o 6._o and_o if_o word_n can_v do_v so_o much_o mischief_n in_o the_o world_n it_o be_v very_o fit_a that_o god_n shall_v judge_v we_o for_o they_o and_o than_o it_o be_v very_o fit_a that_o we_o shall_v be_v
