zealous_a resolution_n of_o forsake_v every_o evil_a way_n for_o the_o rest_n of_o that_o time_n which_o god_n shall_v spare_v thou_o and_o that_o thy_o own_o heart_n deceive_v thou_o not_o in_o this_o so_o weighty_a a_o business_n it_o will_v be_v wisdom_n to_o send_v for_o some_o godly_a divine_a not_o only_o to_o assist_v thou_o with_o his_o prayer_n but_o with_o his_o counsel_n also_o and_o to_o that_o purpose_n open_v thy_o heart_n so_o free_o to_o he_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o judge_v whether_o thy_o repentance_n be_v such_o as_o may_v give_v thou_o confidence_n to_o appear_v before_o god_n dreadful_a tribunal_n and_o that_o if_o it_o be_v not_o he_o may_v help_v thou_o what_o he_o can_v towards_o the_o make_n it_o so_o and_o when_o thou_o have_v thus_o provide_v for_o thy_o better_a part_n thy_o soul_n then_o consider_v thy_o body_n also_o and_o as_o the_o wise_a man_n say_v eccluâ—_n 38._o 12._o give_v place_n to_o the_o physician_n for_o the_o lord_n have_v create_v he_o use_v such_o mean_n as_o may_v be_v most_o likely_a to_o recover_v thy_o health_n but_o always_o remember_v that_o the_o success_n of_o they_o must_v come_v from_o god_n and_o beware_v of_o asa_n sin_n who_o seek_v to_o the_o physician_n and_o not_o to_o the_o lord_n 2_o chro._n 6._o 12._o dispose_v also_o betimes_o of_o thy_o temporal_a affair_n by_o make_v thy_o will_n and_o set_v all_o thing_n in_o such_o order_n as_o thou_o mean_v final_o to_o leave_v they_o in_o and_o defer_v it_o not_o till_o thy_o sickness_n grow_v more_o violent_a for_o then_o perhaps_o thou_o shall_v not_o have_v such_o use_n of_o thy_o reason_n as_o may_v fit_v thou_o for_o it_o or_o if_o thou_o have_v it_o will_v be_v then_o much_o more_o seasonable_a to_o employ_v thy_o thought_n on_o high_a thing_n on_o the_o world_n thou_o be_v go_v to_o rather_o than_o that_o thou_o be_v about_o to_o leave_v we_o can_v carry_v the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n with_o we_o when_o we_o go_v hence_o and_o it_o be_v not_o fit_a we_o shall_v carry_v the_o thought_n of_o they_o therefore_o let_v those_o be_v early_o dispatch_v that_o they_o may_v not_o disturb_v thou_o at_o last_o a_o prayer_n for_o a_o sick_a person_n o_o merciful_a and_o righteous_a lord_n the_o god_n of_o health_n and_o of_o sickness_n of_o life_n and_o of_o death_n i_o most_o unfeigned_o acknowledge_v that_o my_o great_a abuse_n of_o those_o many_o day_n of_o strength_n and_o welfare_n which_o thou_o have_v afford_v i_o have_v most_o just_o deserve_v thy_o present_a visitation_n i_o desire_v o_o lord_n humble_o to_o accept_v now_o the_o work_n of_o hope_n be_v to_o prevent_v this_o by_o set_v before_o we_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o promise_n that_o they_o belong_v to_o all_o that_o will_v but_o perform_v the_o condition_n and_o therefore_o though_o a_o man_n have_v not_o hitherto_o perform_v it_o and_o so_o have_v yet_o no_o right_n to_o they_o yet_o hope_n will_v tell_v he_o that_o that_o right_o may_v for_o it_o there_o be_v joy_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o angel_n of_o god_n over_o one_o sinner_n that_o repent_v luke_n 15._o 10._o and_o now_o who_o will_v not_o rather_o choose_v by_o a_o timely_a repentance_n to_o bring_v joy_n to_o heaven_n to_o god_n and_o his_o holy_a angel_n then_o by_o a_o sullen_a desperation_n to_o please_v satan_n and_o his_o accurse_a spirit_n especial_o when_o by_o the_o former_a we_o shall_v gain_v endless_a happiness_n to_o ourselves_o and_o by_o the_o latter_a as_o endless_a torment_n 28._o a_o three_o duty_n to_o god_n be_v love_n there_o motive_n be_v two_o common_a motive_n of_o love_n among_o man_n the_o one_o the_o goodness_n and_o excellency_n of_o the_o person_n the_o other_o his_o particular_a kindness_n and_o love_n to_o we_o and_o both_o these_o be_v in_o the_o high_a degree_n in_o god_n 29._o first_o he_o be_v of_o infinite_a goodness_n and_o excellency_n excellency_n in_o himself_o this_o you_o be_v before_o teach_v how_o much_o worse_o than_o his_o very_a crucifier_n they_o crucify_v he_o once_o but_o thou_o have_v as_o much_o as_o in_o thou_o lay_v crucify_v he_o daily_o they_o crucify_v he_o because_o they_o know_v he_o not_o but_o thou_o have_v know_v both_o what_o he_o be_v in_o himself_o the_o lord_n of_o glory_n and_o what_o he_o be_v to_o thou_o a_o most_o tender_a and_o merciful_a saviour_n and_o yet_o thou_o have_v still_o continue_v thus_o to_o crucify_v he_o afresh_o consider_v this_o and_o let_v it_o work_v in_o thou_o first_o a_o great_a sorrow_n for_o thy_o sin_n past_a and_o then_o a_o kill_v and_o crucify_v it_o offer_v it_o up_o at_o this_o instant_n a_o sacrifice_n to_o he_o who_o be_v sacrifice_v for_o thou_o and_o particular_o for_o that_o very_a end_n that_o he_o may_v by_o withdraw_v it_o condemn_v we_o to_o walk_v on_o still_o in_o darkness_n but_o let_v it_o continue_v to_o shine_v till_o it_o have_v guide_v our_o foot_n into_o the_o way_n of_o peace_n o_o lord_n arise_z stir_v up_o thy_o strength_n &_o come_v &_o help_v we_o and_o deliver_v not_o the_o soul_n of_o thy_o turtle_n dove_n this_o disconsolate_a church_n unto_o the_o multitude_n of_o the_o enemy_n
