be_v once_o nay_o often_o gracious_a unto_o i_o and_o will_v continue_v so_o for_o ever_o o_o my_o god_n keep_v i_o from_o sin_v against_o thou_o so_o shall_v the_o light_n of_o thy_o countenance_n exercise_n which_o thou_o have_v prescribe_v in_o thy_o word_n that_o so_o my_o soul_n may_v live_v for_o ever_o 2_o worldly_a care_n the_o care_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o desire_n of_o these_o earthly_a vanity_n oh_o what_o snare_n they_o be_v to_o the_o soul_n and_o to_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n how_o many_o be_v take_v in_o they_o and_o so_o bring_v into_o a_o kind_n of_o thraldom_n they_o not_o so_o oppress_v my_o mind_n that_o i_o shall_v find_v less_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n in_o good_a thing_n or_o become_v more_o unapt_a for_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o duty_n of_o thy_o worship_n and_o service_n any_o holy_a or_o religious_a exercise_n which_o thou_o require_v of_o i_o but_o grant_v i_o beseech_v thou_o that_o see_v how_o deceitful_a this_o world_n goodness_n so_o that_o they_o be_v exceed_o refresh_v and_o feel_v such_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a comfort_n and_o inward_a solace_n as_o that_o they_o be_v not_o able_a outward_o to_o express_v it_o and_o sometime_o again_o as_o though_o he_o have_v forget_v they_o he_o seem_v to_o hide_v and_o to_o absent_v himself_o from_o they_o and_o suffer_v they_o to_o be_v assail_v with_o some_o grievous_a temptation_n so_o that_o their_o day_n be_v turn_v into_o night_n their_o light_n into_o darkness_n their_o joy_n and_o gladness_n into_o sorrow_n and_o heaviness_n and_o this_o the_o lord_n do_v and_o body_n into_o hell_n for_o ever_o there_o to_o have_v their_o portion_n among_o the_o damn_a either_o man_n be_v atheist_n and_o think_v there_o be_v no_o god_n for_o they_o that_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n can_v not_o but_o know_v that_o his_o power_n be_v infinite_a and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o fear_v he_o more_o than_o any_o man_n who_o power_n be_v but_o finite_a when_o it_o be_v great_a or_o else_o they_o be_v marvelous_a desperate_a who_o though_o they_o know_v and_o will_v acknowledge_v the_o power_n and_o the_o fierceness_n of_o his_o wrath_n yet_o fear_v not_o the_o punishment_n and_o the_o horrible_a torment_n which_o he_o have_v threaten_v against_o they_o o_o lord_n let_v i_o not_o be_v either_o so_o blind_v or_o so_o hard-hearted_a as_o the_o earth_n to_o heaven_n from_o this_o vale_n of_o misery_n to_o that_o place_n of_o endless_a glory_n and_o happiness_n o_o lord_n keep_v i_o from_o that_o extreme_a folly_n and_o simplicity_n of_o the_o wicked_a who_o satan_n have_v so_o deceive_v and_o delude_v that_o they_o shall_v be_v careless_a of_o that_o which_o most_o near_o concern_v they_o even_o their_o future_a and_o eternal_a endeavour_n every_o day_n to_o seek_v by_o a_o holy_a conversation_n to_o be_v assure_v of_o the_o certainty_n of_o my_o election_n and_o of_o my_o bless_a and_o happy_a estate_n after_o this_o life_n even_o my_o future_a glorification_n in_o thy_o kingdom_n that_o so_o i_o may_v be_v always_o prepare_v and_o rest_v continual_o in_o a_o joyful_a hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o the_o accomplishment_n and_o fulfil_n of_o thy_o gracious_a promise_n freewill_n it_o be_v a_o vain_a thing_n to_o think_v that_o a_o man_n have_v freewill_n unto_o that_o which_o be_v good_a as_o well_o may_v thou_o persuade_v i_o that_o a_o stone_n can_v move_v itself_o or_o that_o a_o dead_a body_n can_v raise_v itself_o out_o of_o the_o grave_n except_o the_o lord_n put_v to_o his_o hand_n we_o can_v never_o move_v ourselves_o no_o not_o to_o one_o good_a motion_n one_o good_a thought_n or_o desire_n much_o less_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o constant_a practice_n of_o that_o which_o be_v he_o take_v they_o from_o we_o we_o be_v willing_o to_o restore_v they_o and_o ready_o without_o any_o murmur_a or_o repine_v to_o part_v with_o they_o since_o they_o be_v but_o lend_v unto_o we_o of_o for_o a_o while_n and_o now_o require_v of_o they_o again_o what_o mean_v it_o that_o many_o be_v so_o grieve_v to_o part_n with_o those_o thing_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v lend_v they_o until_o such_o time_n as_o he_o shall_v call_v for_o they_o yea_o why_o be_v it_o that_o many_o complain_v so_o grievous_o as_o if_o they_o be_v great_o injure_v or_o have_v very_o hard_a measure_n offer_v unto_o they_o when_o the_o lord_n take_v from_o they_o their_o wife_n their_o child_n their_o friend_n their_o good_n their_o land_n live_n or_o their_o life_n itself_o be_v they_o their_o own_o and_o not_o god_n why_o then_o shall_v they_o sin_v against_o he_o by_o repine_v that_o they_o can_v keep_v they_o against_o his_o will_n have_v he_o give_v unto_o they_o the_o use_n of_o they_o through_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n i_o be_o subject_a to_o fail_v most_o to_o help_v and_o to_o assist_v i_o through_o the_o powerful_a work_n of_o thy_o bless_a spirit_n without_o which_o i_o any_o true_a delight_n or_o contentment_n in_o they_o yea_o it_o may_v well_o be_v doubt_v whether_o he_o taste_v of_o more_o sour_a or_o sweet_a more_o honey_n or_o gall_n more_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n or_o grief_n and_o vexation_n while_o he_o drink_v they_o down_o with_o a_o greedy_a appetite_n and_o in_o a_o unsatiable_a manner_n for_o thus_o the_o lord_n usual_o put_v much_o bitterness_n into_o their_o sweet_a cup_n and_o mingle_v trouble_v anguish_n and_o vexation_n with_o their_o chief_a delight_n which_o they_o most_o inordinate_o desire_v and_o seek_v after_o and_o yet_o lo_o such_o be_v the_o folly_n &_o sottishness_n of_o many_o unto_o who_o the_o lord_n otherwise_o have_v give_v understand_v whereby_o to_o judge_v and_o discern_v of_o thing_n that_o differ_v that_o like_o unreasonable_a man_n nay_o like_o brutish_a creature_n that_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n for_o the_o gain_n of_o these_o fruitless_a and_o fade_a vanity_n they_o seem_v to_o be_v least_o respect_a and_o in_o a_o manner_n forsake_v of_o thou_o the_o love_n of_o the_o world_n and_o worldly_a thing_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o distraction_n and_o much_o disquietness_n the_o inordinate_a love_n of_o any_o worldly_a thing_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o much_o disquiet_n of_o heart_n and_o great_a distraction_n and_o vexation_n of_o mind_n how_o many_o do_v hereby_o pierce_v themselves_o through_o with_o many_o sorrow_n how_o do_v they_o trouble_v their_o own_o soul_n when_o otherwise_o they_o may_v be_v at_o rest_n into_o what_o bondage_n do_v they_o bring_v themselves_o yea_o even_o consume_v themselves_o in_o vain_a with_o unprofitable_a care_n and_o pensivenesse_n it_o be_v the_o wisdom_n of_o a_o christian_a therefore_o never_o to_o affect_v or_o to_o covet_v after_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v unlawful_a for_o he_o never_o to_o desire_v or_o to_o long_o after_o any_o thing_n which_o may_v hinder_v he_o in_o any_o sort_n from_o inward_a peace_n and_o freedom_n of_o mind_n or_o be_v a_o cause_n of_o anguish_n grief_n and_o distraction_n unto_o he_o but_o to_o wean_v his_o soul_n from_o the_o excessive_a and_o disorder_a love_n and_o desire_v of_o they_o consider_v that_o they_o be_v such_o thing_n as_o when_o he_o have_v the_o full_a fruition_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o they_o he_o shall_v find_v that_o they_o will_v not_o satisfy_v his_o desire_n and_o expectation_n and_o that_o they_o will_v quick_o vanish_v away_o and_o perish_v with_o the_o use_n of_o they_o o_o lord_n withdraw_v my_o heart_n i_o beseech_v thou_o daily_o more_o and_o more_o from_o the_o love_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o thing_n thereof_o see_v they_o be_v vain_a transitory_a and_o full_a of_o grief_n and_o vexation_n not_o yield_v that_o delight_n and_o contentment_n which_o they_o promise_v and_o make_v show_n of_o but_o rather_o much_o anguish_n and_o unquietnes_n of_o mind_n see_v they_o be_v a_o cause_n of_o such_o unlooked_a for_o bitterness_n let_v i_o not_o so_o affect_v they_o as_o i_o have_v do_v let_v they_o not_o seem_v so_o sweet_a and_o pleasant_a unto_o i_o as_o they_o do_v unto_o other_o who_o have_v not_o taste_v of_o better_a thing_n and_o therefore_o find_v such_o relish_n in_o these_o but_o grant_v that_o all_o the_o affection_n of_o my_o heart_n may_v be_v set_v upon_o thou_o alone_o and_o that_o i_o may_v delight_v and_o rejoice_v continual_o in_o thou_o who_o be_v the_o only_a fountain_n of_o all_o true_a joy_n peace_n and_o happiness_n assure_o persuade_v myself_o that_o have_v thou_o to_o be_v my_o never_o think_v myself_o to_o be_v altogether_o forsake_v of_o thou_o because_o thou_o send_v some_o grief_n and_o affliction_n upon_o i_o or_o suffer_v satan_n to_o assault_v i_o with_o diverse_a of_o true_a glory_n unto_o which_o that_o be_v no_o way_n comparable_a and_o deprive_v he_o of_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a grace_n the_o most_o precious_a jewel_n in_o this_o world_n and_o most_o to_o be_v desire_v and_o seek_v for_o far_o above_o all_o fade_a and_o earthly_a vanity_n for_o while_o that_o any_o seek_v to_o please_v himself_o overmuch_o in_o receive_v honour_n of_o man_n he_o can_v but_o displease_v god_n very_o high_o and_o want_v that_o honour_n which_o be_v from_o above_o while_o he_o covet_v and_o hunt_v after_o the_o praise_n and_o applause_n of_o this_o world_n and_o desire_n to_o lift_v up_o himself_o in_o the_o pride_n and_o vanity_n of_o his_o heart_n above_o other_o the_o lord_n resist_v he_o and_o deni_v his_o grace_n unto_o he_o so_o that_o of_o all_o other_o he_o be_v herein_o through_o the_o just_a judgement_n of_o god_n most_o barren_a and_o fruitless_a have_v perhaps_o the_o shadow_n and_o outward_a appearance_n of_o some_o moral_a virtue_n but_o want_v that_o which_o be_v the_o life_n and_o soul_n of_o they_o o_o lord_n how_o little_a cause_n have_v i_o to_o glory_n of_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o i_o except_o it_o be_v of_o my_o infirmity_n my_o weakness_n and_o manifold_a imperfection_n unto_o which_o i_o feel_v myself_o continual_o subject_a what_o be_v it_o for_o which_o i_o shall_v esteem_v myself_o to_o be_v any_o thing_n or_o to_o be_v once_o worthy_a to_o be_v account_v among_o the_o mean_a of_o thy_o servant_n for_o behold_v i_o be_o but_o a_o frail_a and_o a_o sinful_a man_n full_a of_o wretchedness_n and_o who_o be_v worthy_a of_o all_o praise_n and_o glory_n both_o now_o and_o evermore_o the_o christian_n paradise_n in_o this_o life_n the_o child_n of_o god_n live_v continual_o in_o a_o paradise_n even_o while_o they_o remain_v in_o this_o world_n and_o seem_v to_o other_o to_o be_v wretched_a and_o miserable_a subject_a unto_o manifold_a affliction_n and_o diverse_a kind_n of_o calamity_n they_o taste_v daily_o of_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n and_o be_v refresh_v with_o those_o inward_a spiritual_a joy_n and_o heavenly_a delight_n which_o be_v above_o all_o other_o joy_n and_o in_o comparison_n whereof_o all_o the_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n which_o this_o deceitful_a and_o entice_a world_n can_v afford_v they_o be_v but_o mere_a vanity_n they_o be_v certify_v of_o their_o salvation_n they_o know_v themselves_o to_o be_v elect_v &_o redeem_v by_o christ_n their_o saviour_n and_o that_o none_o can_v take_v they_o out_o of_o his_o hand_n who_o be_v so_o mighty_a and_o powerful_a in_o himself_o and_o so_o gracious_a and_o love_a unto_o they_o yea_o by_o faith_n and_o hope_v they_o be_v ascend_v into_o heaven_n and_o in_o spirit_n behold_v that_o
