the_o word_n in_o the_o greek_a be_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d which_o beza_n render_v svo_fw-la illo_fw-la proprio_fw-la sanguine_fw-la that_o be_v by_o that_o his_o own_o proper_a blood_n and_o then_o may_v he_o prove_v that_o the_o blood_n that_o be_v say_v to_o be_v his_o blood_n be_v yet_o not_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o person_n that_o be_v god_n but_o the_o blood_n of_o another_o that_o be_v call_v god_n but_o be_v not_o god_n otherwise_o it_o stand_v in_o force_n the_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o the_o blood_n of_o a_o mere_a creature_n but_o the_o blood_n of_o god_n whence_o the_o merit_n of_o it_o proceed_v for_o the_o expiate_a of_o sin_n whereas_o he_o say_v that_o in_o this_o sense_n christ_n be_v call_v the_o lamb_n of_o god_n because_o he_o be_v far_o more_o excellent_a than_o the_o paschal_n lamb_n oa_o any_o other_o lamb_n that_o be_v sacrifice_v it_o be_v grant_v that_o he_o be_v so_o call_v for_o that_o reason_n and_o not_o only_o because_o christ_n who_o be_v slay_v be_v man_n and_o those_o lamb_n be_v burr_n bruit_n creature_n and_o so_o inferior_a to_o he_o but_o because_o the_o person_n of_o this_o lamb_n slay_v be_v more_o than_o a_o man_n be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o very_a god_n but_o not_o slay_v like_o a_o lamb_n as_o he_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o very_a god_n but_o according_a to_o the_o humanity_n which_o he_o assume_v and_o as_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o very_a man_n so_o be_v he_o slay_v it_o be_v say_v the_o son_n of_o man_n must_v be_v deliver_v up_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o man_n and_o they_o shall_v kill_v he_o yet_o though_o he_o can_v not_o suffer_v as_o god_n he_o notwithstanding_o by_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n viz._n by_o the_o divinity_n or_o godhead_n offer_v up_o himself_o a_o sacrifice_n a_o lamb_n without_o spot_n and_o blemish_n to_o god_n which_o make_v his_o blood_n more_o effectual_a to_o expiate_v sin_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o goat_n can_v be_v for_o otherwise_o there_o will_v have_v be_v no_o difference_n in_o point_n of_o worth_n and_o value_n in_o purge_v away_o of_o sin_n of_o man_n for_o the_o blood_n of_o a_o man_n at_o the_o most_o can_v but_o satisfy_v for_o the_o offence_n of_o a_o man_n and_o not_o of_o many_o man_n and_o to_o this_o purpose_n the_o blood_n of_o a_o man_n will_v have_v be_v as_o ineffectual_a as_o the_o blood_n of_o a_o beast_n i_o have_v be_v large_a in_o the_o vindication_n of_o this_o instance_n because_o the_o matter_n of_o it_o be_v weighty_a it_o be_v a_o great_a truth_n of_o god_n and_o of_o high_a concernment_n to_o the_o saint_n i_o shall_v be_v the_o brief_a in_o the_o next_o the_o nine_o argument_n or_o instance_n that_o i_o produce_v be_v this_o inst_z 9_o if_o christ_n be_v a_o mere_a creature_n than_o the_o intercession_n of_o christ_n be_v overthrow_v for_o christ_n if_o a_o mere_a man_n be_v in_o heaven_n can_v know_v the_o state_n of_o the_o church_n in_o all_o place_n upon_o earth_n
