another_o his_o other_o reason_n be_v that_o the_o baptism_n of_o conversion_n or_o the_o spiritual_a cleanse_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v but_o only_o improper_a and_o metaphorical_a and_o we_o must_v 〈◊〉_d throw_v about_o the_o word_n of_o any_o text_n of_o scripture_n from_o a_o proper_a to_o a_o improper_a meaning_n without_o some_o necessity_n constrain_v we_o so_o to_o do_v to_o this_o i_o answer_v first_o that_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o go_v from_o the_o proper_a signification_n of_o any_o word_n to_o a_o improper_a without_o some_o urgent_a necessity_n i_o already_o acknowledge_v but_o in_o common_a speech_n as_o what_o be_v the_o most_o common_a and_o usual_a sense_n of_o it_o in_o scripture_n for_o what_o be_v the_o most_o common_a sense_n of_o it_o in_o scripture_n i_o judge_n be_v the_o most_o proper_a meaning_n of_o it_o whether_o the_o word_n be_v otherwise_o metaphorical_a or_o not_o for_o who_o will_v deny_v but_o according_a to_o scripture_n sense_n by_o the_o word_n christ_n be_v proper_o understand_v the_o true_a christ_n of_o god_n to_o wit_n his_o only_a beget_v son_n and_o yet_o grammatical_o it_o be_v but_o metaphorical_a at_o least_o as_o much_o as_o the_o word_n baptise_v for_o christ_n signify_v anoint_v even_o as_o baptise_a signify_v wasâ—ed_v or_o dip_v and_o if_o i._n a._n or_o any_o will_v contend_v that_o christ_n be_v proper_o call_v christ_n or_o anoint_v because_o the_o spiritual_a anoint_v be_v as_o real_a and_o proper_a in_o its_o kind_n as_o the_o outward_a and_o natural_a be_v in_o its_o kind_n i_o shall_v not_o contend_v against_o they_o but_o rather_o go_v along_o with_o they_o therein_o but_o then_o i_o say_v also_o that_o the_o spiritual_a baptism_n be_v as_o real_a and_o proper_a in_o its_o kind_n as_o the_o spiritual_a anoint_v be_v in_o its_o kind_n and_o thus_o also_o when_o christ_n be_v call_v bread_n in_o scripture_n in_o the_o scripture_n sense_n he_o be_v true_o and_o proper_o call_v so_o yea_o why_o do_v he_o call_v himself_o the_o true_a bread_n and_o why_o say_v he_o that_o the_o manna_n which_o moses_n give_v to_o the_o people_n in_o the_o wilderness_n be_v not_o the_o true_a bread_n from_o heaven_n do_v not_o this_o signify_v that_o whatever_o virtue_n or_o excellency_n outward_a bread_n have_v to_o feed_v the_o body_n christ_n who_o be_v the_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a bread_n have_v it_o much_o more_o to_o feed_v the_o soul_n yea_o and_o the_o body_n also_o when_o he_o please_v so_o to_o do_v and_o in_o this_o respect_n it_o be_v that_o some_o do_v affirm_v that_o those_o name_n of_o bread_n water_n light_n oil_n and_o the_o like_a be_v more_o proper_o apply_v to_o the_o spiritual_a than_o to_o the_o natural_a so_o that_o the_o water_n oil_n light_n and_o bread_n that_o be_v but_o outward_a and_o natural_a be_v rather_o metaphorical_o so_o call_v and_o the_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a more_o true_o and_o proper_o deserve_v those_o name_n and_o thus_o the_o spiritual_a baptism_n shall_v be_v the_o most_o proper_a in_o that_o sense_n also_o but_o now_o let_v the_o scripture_n be_v search_v and_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o the_o word_n to_o baptise_v do_v no_o less_o common_o signify_v the_o spiritual_a baptism_n than_o the_o outward_a and_o elementary_a and_o therefore_o whoever_o will_v persuade_v we_o to_o believe_v that_o the_o spiritual_a baptism_n be_v not_o
