like_a may_v be_v say_v touch_v the_o danger_n on_o the_o other_o hand_n also_o for_o when_o man_n have_v such_o a_o opinion_n of_o their_o own_o power_n and_o ability_n to_o perform_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o promise_n as_o that_o they_o be_v not_o mindful_a of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n assistance_n nor_o sensible_a of_o their_o need_n of_o it_o but_o be_v negligent_a in_o address_v to_o god_n for_o it_o and_o in_o their_o dependence_n upon_o he_o for_o the_o supply_n of_o it_o it_o can_v be_v expect_v that_o the_o holy_a spirit_n shall_v take_v any_o such_o pleasure_n in_o such_o man_n as_o to_o take_v up_o his_o residence_n and_o make_v his_o abode_n with_o they_o and_o if_o not_o the_o communication_n of_o his_o assistance_n to_o such_o man_n must_v needs_o be_v more_o rare_a and_o more_o spare_v and_o his_o visit_n less_o frequent_a and_o when_o they_o be_v so_o it_o will_v be_v visible_a in_o the_o dulness_n dead-heartedness_n and_o barrenness_n of_o such_o christian_n though_o then_o they_o may_v retain_v a_o form_n of_o godliness_n for_o the_o holy_a spirit_n will_v not_o vouchsafe_v to_o such_o his_o special_a presence_n and_o assistance_n who_o do_v of_o their_o own_o power_n and_o ability_n to_o perform_v it_o as_o to_o overlook_a and_o neglect_v the_o divine_a assistance_n as_o if_o they_o have_v little_a or_o no_o need_n of_o it_o such_o as_o
