pass_v through_o the_o common_a road_n with_o other_o and_o sometime_o meet_v with_o bad_a and_o unpleasant_a way_n and_o now_o and_o then_o with_o a_o shower_n that_o may_v fall_v upon_o they_o but_o the_o religious_a man_n be_v however_o much_o better_a provide_v against_o those_o against_o the_o common_a and_o unavoidable_a evil_n of_o life_n than_o another_o who_o be_v but_o equal_o subject_a great_a and_o valuable_a and_o desirable_a yet_o i_o do_v not_o know_v that_o religion_n take_v away_o or_o disallow_v the_o other_o we_o may_v therefore_o both_o lawful_o desire_n and_o endeavour_v our_o present_a state_n or_o the_o make_v of_o humane_a nature_n they_o be_v not_o only_o for_o wise_o moderate_v and_o govern_v but_o quite_o root_a all_o passion_n and_o affection_n whatever_o out_o of_o their_o wise_a man_n which_o be_v to_o make_v he_o not_o a_o man_n or_o such_o a_o creature_n with_o such_o faculty_n and_o power_n as_o god_n think_v for_o wise_a reason_n fit_a to_o do_v this_o grievous_a and_o intolerable_a do_v it_o appear_v to_o we_o and_o how_o will_v one_o that_o have_v be_v in_o it_o represent_v it_o how_o if_o he_o have_v but_o as_o much_o charity_n as_o dives_n will_v he_o warn_v we_o not_o to_o come_v into_o that_o place_n of_o torment_n how_o unwilling_a will_v he_o be_v to_o go_v back_o to_o it_o how_o loath_a to_o end_v his_o message_n and_o how_o that_o of_o hercules_n that_o will_v scorch_v and_o inflame_v and_o torture_v they_o beyond_o expression_n and_o stick_v close_o to_o they_o burn_v they_o with_o poisonous_a flame_n and_o fill_v they_o with_o the_o perpetual_a stench_n of_o sire_n and_o brimstone_n how_o the_o body_n of_o wicked_a man_n may_v be_v make_v the_o instrument_n of_o torment_n to_o their_o soul_n be_v easy_a to_o ourselves_o about_o if_o it_o be_v not_o some_o way_n or_o other_o useful_a to_o the_o practice_n of_o religion_n and_o be_v not_o influential_a to_o the_o make_v we_o good_a and_o virtuous_a in_o our_o life_n but_o the_o resurrection_n have_v such_o a_o direct_a and_o immediate_a tendency_n to_o do_v this_o as_o it_o carry_v in_o it_o the_o assurance_n of_o a_o future_a state_n both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n that_o if_o we_o full_o believe_v it_o and_o be_v undoubted_o persuade_v of_o it_o it_o will_v do_v its_o own_o work_n and_o will_v necessary_o promote_v virtue_n and_o religion_n and_o be_v effectual_a upon_o all_o our_o life_n do_v not_o a_o secret_a scepticism_n and_o insidelity_n which_o be_v the_o vice_n of_o our_o age_n hinder_v and_o defeat_v the_o power_n of_o it_o let_v the_o belief_n of_o it_o therefore_o be_v firm_a and_o unshaken_a upon_o our_o mind_n and_o let_v the_o efficacy_n of_o it_o be_v powerful_a upon_o our_o life_n and_o conversation_n there_o be_v
