open_v the_o first_o and_o second_o i_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o speak_v to_o the_o other_o the_o first_o question_n than_o be_v this_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o fullness_n quest_n 1_o of_o joy_n in_o this_o place_n you_o must_v understand_v that_o joy_n arise_v always_o from_o sol._n 1_o the_o apprehension_n of_o some_o good_a either_o present_o enjoy_v or_o hope_v for_o good_a be_v the_o object_n of_o joy_n whether_o that_o good_a be_v real_o good_a or_o seem_o good_a whether_o we_o enjoy_v it_o for_o present_a or_o hope_v to_o enjoy_v it_o hereafter_o it_o work_v joy_n in_o we_o there_o be_v 4._o sort_n of_o good_a and_o but_o four_o in_o the_o world_n worth_n mention_v i_o mean_v of_o general_a good_a thing_n which_o may_v cause_v man_n to_o rejoice_v and_o of_o those_o 4_o the_o three_z first_o will_v not_o bring_v in_o fullness_n of_o joy_n they_o have_v but_o a_o little_a short_a scanty_a joy_n with_o they_o &_o the_o four_o do_v the_o deed_n the_o first_o be_v outward_a mercy_n as_o health_n wealth_n prosperity_n victory_n peace_n deliverance_n etc._n etc._n belove_a these_o be_v outward_a mercy_n temporal_a mercy_n as_o we_o call_v they_o and_o these_o i_o confess_v bring_v in_o some_o joy_n to_o the_o soul_n but_o not_o full_a joy_n which_o be_v true_a both_o of_o the_o have_v of_o they_o or_o be_v instrumental_a in_o they_o 1._o the_o have_v of_o they_o it_o be_v comfortable_a to_o have_v peace_n after_o war_n and_o to_o have_v plenty_n and_o trade_v our_o shop_n and_o highway_n open_a etc._n etc._n we_o may_v rejoice_v in_o these_o thing_n for_o godliness_n do_v not_o unman_v 30._o 1_o cor._n 7_o 30._o we_o it_o do_v not_o hinder_v the_o course_n of_o any_o true_a natural_a affection_n in_o we_o neither_o do_v god_n blame_v we_o for_o rejoice_v in_o these_o thing_n but_o sure_o the_o have_v of_o these_o thing_n do_v not_o bring_v in_o full_a joy_n because_o it_o be_v possible_a these_o thing_n may_v be_v curse_n as_o well_o as_o blessing_n and_o at_o the_o best_a they_o be_v but_o external_a temporal_a blessing_n they_o sink_v not_o to_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o they_o last_v but_o for_o a_o season_n 2._o no_o nor_o be_v instrumental_a in_o procure_v they_o i_o confess_v that_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v cite_v the_o word_n of_o 35._o act._n 20._o 35._o our_o lord_n it_o be_v a_o more_o bless_a thing_n to_o give_v then_o to_o receive_v so_o it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o happy_a and_o a_o far_o more_o comfortable_a thing_n to_o be_v instrumental_a to_o procure_v peace_n and_o welfare_n to_o other_o than_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o those_o thing_n ourselves_o and_o this_o be_v for_o your_o comfort_n without_o flattery_n be_v it_o speak_v i_o mean_v our_o parliament_n and_o our_o army_n it_o be_v much_o i_o say_v for_o your_o comfort_n and_o it_o may_v bring_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o joy_n to_o you_o that_o not_o only_o you_o have_v outward_a mercy_n as_o peace_n etc._n etc._n but_o that_o you_o have_v be_v the_o chief_a instrument_n to_o procure_v all_o our_o mercy_n and_o as_o i_o say_v it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o comfortable_a to_o do_v good_a then_o to_o receive_v it_o to_o be_v instrumental_a in_o procure_v these_o thing_n than_o the_o mere_a have_v or_o enjoy_v of_o they_o for_o in_o scripture_n you_o shall_v find_v cyrus_n though_o else_o it_o 28._o esa_n 44._o 28._o may_v be_v he_o be_v a_o carnal_a natural_a man_n yet_o he_o be_v call_v the_o shepherd_n of_o god_n his_o anoint_v because_o he_o be_v a_o instrument_n whereby_o the_o saint_n enjoy_v peace_n and_o 28._o not_o at_o this_o time_n condemn_v or_o commend_v any_o of_o these_o thing_n for_o the_o matter_n of_o they_o but_o only_o this_o i_o drive_v at_o if_o you_o build_v your_o christian_a fellowship_n and_o communion_n upon_o any_o one_o of_o these_o thing_n or_o such_o like_a make_v they_o the_o main_a pillar_n of_o christian_a communion_n it_o will_v be_v more_o like_o a_o carnal_a faction_n than_o a_o spiritual_a communion_n take_v therefore_o the_o apostle_n rule_v in_o the_o text_n we_o have_v fellowship_n with_o the_o father_n and_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n and_o what_o follow_v these_o thing_n we_o write_v tbat_v you_o may_v have_v fellowship_n with_o we_o and_o true_o our_o fellowship_n be_v with_o the_o father_n and_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n that_o be_v the_o main_a and_o principal_a ground_n of_o all_o church_n fellowship_n of_o christian_a fellowship_n of_o the_o saint_n one_o with_o another_o therefore_o when_o i_o have_v communion_n with_o a_o saint_n i_o must_v not_o look_v so_o much_o whether_o he_o be_v of_o such_o a_o opinion_n or_o whether_o he_o have_v take_v the_o covenant_n or_o have_v be_v baptize_v christ_n baptize_v i_o speak_v not_o this_o as_o if_o my_o opinion_n be_v for_o rebaptisation_n or_o against_o the_o baptise_v of_o the_o infant_n of_o believer_n the_o contrary_a appear_v by_o my_o practice_n but_o only_o that_o such_o difference_n of_o opinion_n shall_v not_o hinder_v their_o mutual_a receive_v each_o other_o to_o fellowship_n and_o communion_n who_o be_v in_o fellowship_n with_o god_n and_o jesus_n christ_n once_o or_o twice_o or_o ten_o time_n but_o see_v if_o he_o have_v fellowship_n with_o the_o father_n and_o with_o jesus_n christ_n if_o he_o have_v he_o be_v one_o of_o the_o body_n and_o a_o fellow-member_n and_o we_o must_v fall_v in_o immediate_o with_o he_o though_o withal_o i_o be_o to_o use_v all_o mean_n in_o love_n and_o meekness_n to_o recall_v he_o from_o his_o error_n the_o vine_n the_o member_n and_o the_o head_n nay_o one_o thing_n more_o see_v what_o the_o soul_n be_v to_o the_o body_n such_o be_v christ_n and_o so_o near_o be_v he_o and_o near_o to_o the_o understanding_n have_v with_o any_o other_o person_n it_o be_v not_o as_o when_o a_o man_n understanding_n conceive_v of_o another_o woman_n by_o mere_a imagination_n and_o think_v of_o she_o there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o union_n between_o she_o and_o his_o understanding_n but_o this_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o union_n that_o be_v between_o a_o man_n and_o his_o wife_n by_o the_o bond_n and_o tie_n of_o matrimony_n that_o be_v a_o real_a union_n that_o be_v conceive_v by_o some_o to_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o that_o place_n hos_n 2._o i_o will_v marry_v thou_o in_o faithfulness_n &_o judgement_n or_o in_o truth_n as_o some_o read_v it_o i_o will_v marry_v thou_o in_o truth_n i_o will_v not_o have_v you_o think_v the_o union_n between_o christ_n and_o the_o saint_n be_v nothing_o
