of_o they_o who_o say_v the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v no_o true_a church_n but_o a_o harlot_n and_o the_o pope_n be_v antichrist_n as_o the_o westminster_n cenfession_n of_o faith_n do_v express_o call_v he_o cap._n 25._o sect_n 6._o and_o yet_o the_o presbyterian_a minister_n general_o derive_v their_o call_n from_o he_o and_o i_o have_v hear_v divers_a of_o they_o express_o affirm_v it_o be_v minister_n have_v their_o call_n 8._o and_o as_o all_o true_a preach_a aught_o to_o be_v by_o the_o inspiration_n and_o move_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n so_o all_o true_a pray_v and_o sing_v both_o in_o private_a and_o in_o public_a for_o still_o that_o be_v it_o which_o the_o scripture_n enjoin_v ephes_n 6.18_o to_o pray_v always_o with_o the_o spirit_n or_o in_o the_o spirit_n and_o bastard_n kind_a for_o the_o true_a worshipper_n worship_v the_o father_n in_o spirit_n and_o in_o truth_n and_o the_o father_n seek_v such_o to_o worship_n he_o and_o none_o else_o and_o whereas_o some_o say_v then_o man_n who_o neglect_v prayer_n be_v excusable_a because_o they_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n to_o move_v they_o to_o prayer_n i_o answer_v not_o they_o be_v not_o in_o the_o least_o excusable_a for_o as_o he_o that_o owe_v a_o sum_n of_o money_n to_o his_o prince_n though_o he_o have_v not_o wherewith_o to_o pay_v his_o debt_n be_v still_o debtor_n and_o yet_o must_v not_o pay_v with_o false_a coin_n but_o true_a so_o he_o who_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n be_v assistance_n and_o help_n to_o pray_v be_v still_o oblige_v to_o pray_v but_o not_o without_o the_o spirit_n and_o that_o he_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n be_v help_n at_o all_o seasonable_a and_o requisite_a time_n for_o prayer_n it_o be_v his_o own_o default_n who_o have_v resist_v the_o spirit_n and_o provoke_v he_o to_o withdraw_v his_o necessary_a assistance_n from_o he_o for_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v ready_a to_o give_v his_o seasonable_a help_n to_o all_o man_n to_o help_v they_o both_o in_o prayer_n and_o thanksgiving_n and_o all_o other_o command_v duty_n and_o performance_n and_o as_o for_o sing_v on_o a_o book_n and_o with_o artificial_a music_n and_o note_n or_o tone_n it_o be_v no_o part_n of_o gospel-worship_n be_v no_o where_o either_o command_v or_o practise_v in_o the_o new-testament_n and_o it_o be_v strange_a that_o these_o man_n shall_v be_v against_o pray_v on_o a_o book_n and_o yet_o sing_v on_o a_o book_n for_o if_o the_o one_o be_v not_o spiritual_a the_o other_o be_v not_o 9_o there_o be_v other_o such_o as_o these_o call_v independent_o and_o baptist_n who_o deny_v all_o immediate_a call_v to_o the_o ministry_n and_o yet_o betake_v themselves_o to_o as_o poor_a and_o shiftless_a evasion_n about_o their_o call_n as_o the_o former_a they_o ghost_n and_o if_o the_o real_a inward_a work_n of_o sanctification_n and_o obedience_n have_v not_o be_v necessary_a to_o salvation_n the_o
so_o a_o church_n or_o assembly_n of_o people_n only_o profess_v the_o true_a religion_n but_o have_v nothing_o of_o the_o true_a life_n and_o spirit_n of_o christ_n and_o who_o outward_a and_o bodily_a service_n and_o work_n have_v no_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a virtue_n and_o life_n in_o they_o which_o be_v that_o salt_n that_o make_v they_o savoury_a and_o do_v recommend_v they_o unto_o god_n so_o that_o he_o savour_v a_o sweet_a savour_n in_o they_o can_v be_v true_o and_o just_o account_v a_o true_a church_n of_o christ_n for_o we_o no_o where_o find_v in_o scripture_n any_o society_n or_o company_n of_o people_n call_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n who_o have_v nothing_o but_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n and_o although_o hypocrite_n and_o mere_a formalist_n do_v outward_o at_o time_n mingle_v or_o mix_v with_o sincere_a christian_n and_o do_v assume_v the_o same_o outward_a profession_n with_o they_o in_o former_a age_n as_o such_o be_v among_o the_o church_n of_o corinth_n and_o gulatia_n etc._n etc._n yet_o these_o hypocrite_n and_o mere_a formalist_n who_o have_v only_o the_o form_n but_o have_v nothing_o of_o the_o power_n and_o life_n of_o true_a religion_n be_v no_o part_n of_o the_o true_a church_n no_o more_o than_o chaff_n or_o tare_n that_o be_v mix_v with_o wheat_n be_v any_o part_n of_o the_o wheat_n or_o dross_n that_o be_v mix_v with_o silver_n be_v any_o part_n of_o the_o silver_n or_o old_a leaven_n that_o be_v mix_v with_o the_o new_a dough_n be_v any_o part_n of_o it_o and_o therefore_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v the_o work_n of_o all_o the_o true_a member_n of_o the_o true_a church_n to_o purge_v out_o the_o old_a leaven_n and_o to_o be_v a_o separate_a people_n from_o all_o these_o that_o have_v only_o a_o form_n and_o profession_n of_o religion_n but_o have_v nothing_o of_o the_o power_n of_o it_o 3._o the_o church_n of_o christ_n be_v call_v his_o body_n frequent_o in_o scripture_n and_o every_o same_o breath_n to_o deny_v all_o inward_a revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o to_o say_v the_o spirit_n work_v only_o effective_o and_o not_o objective_o and_o therefore_o be_v only_a medium_n incognitum_fw-la assentiendi_fw-la to_o wit_n a_o unknown_a principle_n of_o assent_v let_v the_o wise_a in_o heart_n consider_v and_o judge_v for_o see_v no_o place_n of_o scripture_n tell_v we_o that_o we_o have_v these_o infallible_a mark_n of_o god_n child_n and_o yet_o the_o spirit_n do_v tell_v or_o witness_v it_o to_z or_o together_o with_o our_o spirit_n this_o certain_o be_v a_o novum_fw-la effatum_fw-la or_o new_a truth_n or_o say_v no_o where_o either_o express_o or_o consequential_o contain_v in_o the_o scripture_n or_o if_o they_o say_v it_o be_v contain_v in_o scripture_n at_o least_o consequential_o to_o wit_n that_o j.d._n or_o j.c._n have_v the_o infallible_a mark_n of_o a_o child_n of_o god_n let_v he_o produce_v it_o or_o any_o for_o he_o which_o
