receive_v it_o sincere_o intend_v the_o confirmation_n of_o that_o covenant_n sect_n xi_o a_o earnest_a persuasive_a to_o come_v to_o the_o lord_n supper_n i_o shall_v now_o insist_v a_o little_a upon_o a_o earnest_a persuasive_a to_o the_o frequent_a attendance_n upon_o this_o sacrament_n which_o the_o woeful_a and_o deplorable_a neglect_n of_o these_o time_n and_o the_o sad_a consequence_n of_o that_o neglect_n do_v make_v but_o too_o necessary_a let_v all_o man_n know_v then_o that_o when_o they_o be_v come_v to_o year_n and_o be_v capable_a to_o know_v and_o to_o renew_v their_o vow_n to_o receive_v this_o sacrament_n in_o confirmation_n of_o that_o covenant_n no_o man_n be_v leave_v at_o liberty_n whether_o he_o will_v receive_v this_o sacrament_n or_o not_o but_o if_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n afford_v he_o mean_n and_o opportunity_n to_o do_v so_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o prepare_v himself_o for_o and_o receive_v it_o if_o a_o man_n at_o any_o time_n neglect_v to_o prepare_v himself_o for_o it_o and_o be_v therefore_o unfit_a and_o absent_v himself_o because_o he_o be_v unfit_a in_o that_o case_n he_o will_v be_v judge_v to_o have_v neglect_v the_o sacrament_n itself_o he_o that_o do_v not_o endeavour_v to_o be_v prepare_v and_o to_o receive_v it_o as_o often_o as_o opportunity_n be_v afford_v he_o to_o do_v it_o in_o that_o congregation_n of_o christian_n which_o the_o order_n of_o the_o church_n and_o obedience_n to_o the_o governor_n of_o it_o do_v oblige_v he_o to_o join_v with_o he_o do_v so_o often_o neglect_v and_o refuse_v it_o as_o he_o thus_o absent_v himself_o from_o it_o but_o the_o neglect_n and_o refusal_n of_o this_o we_o must_v know_v be_v the_o neglect_n and_o refusal_n of_o the_o incomparable_a blessing_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n of_o have_v the_o pardon_n of_o our_o sin_n renew_v and_o seal_v the_o bless_a influence_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n renew_v upon_o we_o and_o our_o title_n confirm_v to_o everlasting_a blessedness_n and_o our_o hope_n of_o it_o increase_v and_o strengthen_v it_o be_v to_o neglect_v our_o own_o interest_n and_o to_o provoke_v the_o displeasure_n of_o god_n more_o than_o by_o any_o other_o sin_n in_o neglect_v the_o offer_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o mercy_n let_v all_o those_o who_o never_o mind_n this_o sacrament_n nor_o do_v ever_o prepare_v themselves_o for_o it_o nor_o receive_v it_o know_v that_o they_o do_v therein_o intimate_v the_o renounce_n of_o their_o covenant_n with_o god_n and_o do_v cut_v themselves_o off_o from_o all_o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o the_o favour_n and_o blessing_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n till_o they_o repent_v of_o this_o guilty_a omission_n of_o their_o duty_n and_o so_o come_v to_o this_o sacrament_n prepare_v for_o it_o oh_o wretched_a creature_n they_o choose_v to_o remain_v in_o a_o state_n of_o damnation_n to_o be_v sure_a a_o man_n that_o have_v contradict_v his_o covenant_n since_o he_o be_v baptise_a by_o live_v in_o any_o wilful_a sin_n if_o that_o man_n do_v not_o resolve_v to_o forsake_v his_o sin_n and_o come_v to_o this_o sacrament_n and_o hereby_o bind_v himself_o to_o his_o duty_n he_o will_v be_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n account_v to_o renounce_v his_o christianity_n to_o deny_v the_o lord_n that_o buy_v he_o to_o trample_v upon_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o covenant_n the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o despise_v his_o die_a love_n and_o as_o such_o a_o man_n must_v inevitable_o perish_v so_o he_o will_v fall_v under_o the_o heavy_a and_o the_o sore_a perdition_n whatever_o pretend_a wish_n a_o man_n may_v have_v to_o forsake_v his_o sin_n whatever_o regret_n and_o remorse_n for_o they_o and_o whatever_o resolution_n he_o make_v to_o forsake_v they_o they_o will_v not_o be_v accept_v with_o god_n nor_o bring_v he_o into_o a_o title_n to_o the_o favour_n of_o this_o covenant_n if_o he_o have_v opportunity_n and_o mean_n to_o partake_v of_o this_o sacrament_n and_o refuse_v to_o do_v it_o because_o it_o be_v in_a and_o by_o this_o sacrament_n that_o god_n expect_v and_o require_v the_o renewal_a of_o this_o covenant_n after_o we_o have_v break_v it_o our_o repentance_n be_v not_o complete_v according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n till_o this_o be_v do_v if_o he_o afford_v we_o mean_n and_o opportunity_n to_o do_v this_o we_o be_v not_o allow_v to_o expect_v that_o he_o will_v accept_v our_o resolution_n and_o vow_n in_o any_o other_o way_n present_v to_o he_o when_o he_o have_v appoint_v we_o this_o way_n of_o present_v they_o beside_o be_v it_o not_o a_o wonderful_a thing_n that_o man_n shall_v forget_v that_o this_o sacrament_n be_v appoint_v by_o god_n as_o the_o mean_n to_o convey_v to_o they_o the_o strength_n to_o perform_v their_o good_a vow_n and_o resolution_n and_o then_o he_o that_o neglect_v this_o sacrament_n lay_v himself_o under_o the_o power_n and_o tyranny_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o neglect_v the_o mighty_a help_n
