scurrilous_a and_o profane_a ascoffe_n against_o the_o sacred_a altar_n which_o all_o these_o think_v worthy_a of_o all_o reverence_n and_o when_o they_o have_v do_v all_o they_o can_v yet_o still_o think_v they_o have_v do_v too_o little_a and_o so_o i_o leave_v he_o to_o his_o meditation_n and_o follow_v he_o to_o another_o reason_n wherein_o though_o he_o argue_v weak_o and_o like_o himself_o against_o altar_n in_o christian_a church_n yet_o he_o reason_v so_o like_o a_o divine_a that_o a_o christian_n may_v hear_v he_o with_o patience_n which_o his_o late_a rude_a scurrility_n and_o unsavoury_a language_n be_v enough_o to_o banish_v another_o reason_n the_o author_n have_v meet_v with_o for_o the_o utter_a cast_v down_o of_o altar_n stand_v where_o they_o will_v church_n or_o but_o man_n and_o those_o man_n not_o lay_v person_n but_o priest_n and_o those_o priest_n receive_v the_o same_o not_o stand_v or_o kneel_v or_o sit_v but_o lie_v and_o lean_v one_o on_o another_o breast_n or_o bosom_n and_o receive_v the_o same_o not_o in_o a_o morning_n but_o at_o night_n and_o not_o fast_v but_o after_o meat_n and_o that_o meat_n take_v at_o a_o supper_n and_o that_o supper_n not_o the_o first_o supper_n but_o when_o that_o supper_n be_v end_v and_o the_o table_n take_v away_o and_o they_o all_o rise_v up_o and_o after_o all_o this_o the_o deliverer_n must_v gird_v himself_o with_o a_o towel_n and_o wash_v the_o receiver_n foot_n and_o this_o do_v they_o must_v all_o couch_v they_o down_o again_o and_o so_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n these_o and_o diverse_a ceremony_n be_v to_o be_v observe_v if_o our_o saviour_n manner_n of_o institution_n be_v our_o precise_a pattern_n now_o if_o no_o man_n will_v bind_v the_o church_n to_o observe_v these_o and_o the_o like_a ceremony_n why_o will_v the_o author_n bind_v we_o to_o a_o table_n rather_o than_o to_o a_o altar_n and_o why_o will_v he_o forbid_v the_o vicar_n to_o call_v it_o a_o altar_n consider_v that_o the_o author_n tell_v he_o that_o altar_n stand_v still_o in_o some_o orthodoxal_a church_n and_o may_v remain_v in_o we_o still_o for_o aught_o he_o know_v to_o the_o contrary_a but_o such_o a_o one_o as_o he_o have_v much_o less_o do_v it_o bind_v we_o to_o the_o name_n of_o a_o table_n if_o our_o saviour_n have_v say_v do_v not_o you_o call_v it_o a_o altar_n or_o the_o church_n have_v order_v and_o say_v do_v not_o you_o call_v it_o a_o altar_n he_o may_v have_v have_v some_o warrant_n for_o his_o injunction_n do_v not_o you_o call_v it_o a_o altar_n but_o our_o saviour_n table_n do_v not_o restrain_v the_o church_n from_o a_o altar_n a_o altar_n we_o have_v or_o the_o lord_n table_n set_v altarwise_a which_o be_v all_o one_o and_o a_o altar_n we_o may_v call_v it_o his_o peremptory_a imperative_n notwithstanding_o the_o truth_n be_v this_o the_o purpose_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n in_o his_o first_o institution_n of_o this_o holy_a sacrament_n be_v not_o to_o make_v his_o example_n our_o pattern_n in_o the_o circumstance_n of_o a_o table_n time_n communicant_n or_o the_o like_a but_o when_o he_o depart_v he_o give_v his_o holy_a spirit_n to_o his_o apostle_n and_o to_o the_o holy_a catholic_a church_n which_o be_v the_o pillar_n and_o ground_n of_o truth_n and_o to_o the_o church_n be_v we_o to_o resort_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n
