a_o dish_n for_o their_o hearer_n yet_o they_o not_o lick_v their_o finger_n or_o taste_v of_o this_o spiritual_a food_n themselves_o as_o in_o the_o build_n of_o the_o ark_n there_o be_v many_o man_n build_v noah_n ark_n to_o save_v other_o that_o be_v drown_v themselves_o so_o many_o man_n may_v build_v a_o ark_n by_o preach_v the_o word_n and_o the_o way_n of_o god_n to_o save_v other_o man_n soul_n when_o they_o may_v be_v drown_v themselves_o hence_o it_o be_v the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o of_o star_n that_o fall_v from_o heaven_n many_o minister_n that_o seem_v godly_a minister_n like_o star_n in_o their_o generation_n yet_o they_o fall_v and_o become_v wicked_a and_o loose_a and_o i_o remember_v doctor_n pembleton_n a_o famous_a minister_n in_o the_o day_n of_o queen_n mary_n and_o a_o man_n who_o ministry_n have_v convert_v many_o christian_n yet_o at_o length_n he_o himself_o turn_v to_o be_v a_o papist_n now_o these_o christian_n do_v never_o misdoubt_v or_o suspect_v their_o conversion_n because_o the_o man_n that_o convert_v they_o be_v a_o bad_a man_n they_o may_v be_v good_a people_n though_o he_o be_v a_o bad_a minister_n so_o that_o this_o be_v no_o ground_n in_o the_o world_n though_o i_o confess_v it_o be_v not_o ordinary_a that_o god_n make_v wicked_a man_n mean_n of_o conversion_n but_o god_n ordinary_o crown_v the_o word_n most_o in_o the_o mouth_n of_o a_o godly_a minister_n yet_o sometime_o i_o say_v god_n may_v use_v a_o wicked_a man_n to_o be_v a_o mean_n to_o convert_v soul_n and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o these_o reason_n to_o prove_v that_o a_o wicked_a man_n may_v convert_v soul_n and_o that_o god_n tie_v not_o conversion_n only_o to_o a_o godly_a minister_n because_o first_o the_o efficacy_n of_o the_o word_n do_v not_o depend_v upon_o man_n but_o upon_o jesus_n christ_n and_o christ_n may_v make_v use_n of_o who_o he_o please_v second_o if_o only_o a_o good_a man_n can_v convert_v than_o this_o will_v follow_v that_o we_o can_v be_v as_o well_o sure_a of_o another_o man_n conversion_n as_o we_o be_v of_o our_o own_o which_o be_v a_o thing_n most_o untrue_a for_o if_o only_a a_o godly_a man_n can_v convert_v then_o if_o i_o be_v sure_a of_o my_o own_o conversion_n i_o be_v as_o well_o sure_a of_o his_o conversion_n that_o wrought_v upon_o i_o also_o which_o can_v be_v so_o that_o clear_o this_o shall_v lay_v no_o block_n in_o your_o way_n because_o you_o discern_v the_o minister_n that_o wrought_v upon_o you_o to_o be_v no_o good_a man_n see_v conversion_n be_v not_o tie_v only_o to_o a_o godly_a minister_n three_o a_o three_o ground_n from_o whence_o doubt_n arise_v in_o call_v one_o be_v from_o some_o seem_a defect_n they_o apprehend_v to_o be_v in_o the_o concomitant_n that_o accompany_v or_o in_o the_o effect_n that_o shall_v follow_v effectual_a calling_n and_o this_o make_v they_o fear_n that_o sure_o they_o be_v not_o effectual_o call_v i_o will_v name_v to_o you_o three_o or_o four_o first_o say_v a_o doubt_a christian_n i_o do_v hear_v in_o scripture_n what_o effect_n will_v follow_v and_o what_o will_v accompany_v a_o man_n effectual_o call_v and_o i_o find_v they_o not_o wrought_v in_o my_o soul_n as_o now_o first_o i_o apprehend_v that_o when_o a_o man_n be_v effectual_o call_v he_o shall_v be_v enable_v by_o god_n to_o call_v upon_o he_o in_o prayer_n i_o find_v in_o scripture_n 1_o cor._n 1.2_o that_o all_o that_o be_v call_v to_o be_v saint_n they_o shall_v call_v upon_o the_o lord_n in_o every_o place_n but_o alas_o woe_n be_v i_o i_o do_v not_o find_v this_o in_o my_o this_o complaint_n i_o will_v say_v this_o that_o those_o that_o know_v most_o they_o know_v but_o little_a in_o the_o mystery_n of_o christ_n as_o you_o be_v not_o perfect_a in_o other_o grace_n so_o you_o be_v not_o here_o perfect_a in_o knowledge_n you_o know_v but_o in_o part_n 1_o cor._n 13.9_o therefore_o you_o have_v no_o need_n to_o be_v discourage_v at_o this_o second_o and_o more_o particular_o you_o that_o complain_v of_o ignorance_n though_o you_o be_v ignorant_a and_o can_v find_v that_o marvellous_a light_n shine_v in_o your_o soul_n which_o you_o expect_v yet_o if_o your_o learn_v and_o know_v the_o way_n of_o god_n reveal_v in_o his_o word_n such_o a_o ignorance_n will_v never_o damn_v you_o but_o when_o ignorance_n come_v to_o be_v wilful_a that_o a_o man_n do_v not_o know_v and_o he_o will_v not_o learn_v a_o man_n be_v a_o ignorant_a man_n yet_o he_o think_v he_o know_v more_o than_o all_o the_o preacher_n can_v tell_v he_o this_o be_v a_o sad_a sign_n you_o be_v word_n and_o uncapable_a to_o apprebend_n any_o thing_n that_o be_v teach_v you_o that_o you_o be_v not_o like_o those_o jer._n 4.22_o my_o people_n have_v no_o understanding_n they_o be_v a_o sottish_a people_n wise_a to_o do_v evil_a but_o to_o do_v good_a they_o have_v no_o understanding_n many_o man_n be_v ignorant_a man_n yet_o not_o so_o sottish_o ignorant_a as_o not_o to_o be_v capable_a of_o learning_n if_o you_o will_v teach_v he_o he_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v instruct_v but_o some_o man_n be_v so_o ignorant_a they_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o learning_n you_o may_v as_o the_o lord_n his_o god_n three_o in_o case_n your_o ignorance_n be_v not_o a_o fundamental_a ignorance_n i_o mean_v such_o a_o ignorance_n as_o not_o to_o know_v those_o necessary_a and_o fundamental_a point_n in_o the_o word_n that_o must_v be_v know_v if_o ever_o you_o be_v save_v as_o about_o jesus_n christ_n and_o salvation_n and_o justification_n by_o his_o blood_n and_o faith_n in_o
