before_o they_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n second_o this_o i_o hope_v may_v tend_v to_o clear_v up_o the_o matter_n and_o show_v the_o present_a difference_n be_v but_o little_a and_o rise_v rather_o some_o learned_a man_n and_o sound_v in_o the_o faith_n seem_v to_o hint_n as_o if_o faith_n be_v a_o condition_n of_o our_o justification_n but_o how_o that_o which_o god_n himself_o give_v to_o we_o by_o his_o free_a and_o absolute_a promise_n can_v be_v a_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o of_o our_o justification_n i_o see_v not_o that_o which_o be_v part_n of_o the_o covenant_n on_o god_n part_n can_v be_v the_o condition_n of_o it_o on_o our_o part_n also_o they_o call_v faith_n the_o instrumental_a cause_n of_o justification_n which_o we_o must_v leave_v they_o to_o explain_v they_o mean_v i_o think_v but_o as_o the_o hand_n that_o apply_v a_o plaster_n be_v a_o cause_n of_o the_o cure_n we_o must_v say_v with_o a_o late_a learned_a author_n faith_n be_v no_o qualify_a condition_n nor_o any_o procure_a cause_n of_o our_o justification_n though_o without_o faith_n god_n declare_v no_o man_n a_o justify_v person_n 2._o faith_n do_v not_o cause_n or_o render_v the_o believe_v not_o saving_o in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o it_o remain_v upon_o he_o because_o he_o believe_v not_o or_o because_o he_o continue_v in_o the_o first_o adam_n in_o condemn_a adam_n and_o be_v not_o transplant_v into_o the_o second_o adam_n jesus_n christ_n nay_o and_o his_o unbelief_n bind_v all_o his_o sin_n and_o the_o sentence_n upon_o he_o not_o believe_v be_v not_o the_o first_o disease_n but_o it_o be_v the_o refuse_v the_o remedy_n those_o sting_v with_o fiery_a serpent_n be_v mortal_o wound_v that_o be_v their_o disease_n and_o if_o any_o will_v not_o do_v not_o look_v up_o to_o the_o brazen_a serpent_n that_o be_v the_o reason_n they_o die_v in_o respect_n of_o their_o refuse_v the_o remedy_n but_o their_o be_v sting_v be_v that_o which_o kill_v they_o so_o it_o be_v sin_n that_o be_v the_o breach_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o disease_n and_o the_o cause_n why_o sinner_n perish_v all_o be_v condemn_v already_o and_o their_o refuse_v of_o christ_n offer_v in_o the_o gospel_n for_o their_o cure_n aggravate_v their_o sin_n and_o condemnation_n and_o it_o leave_v such_o that_o final_o persist_v in_o unbelief_n incurable_a for_o ever_o six_o all_o before_o they_o be_v in_o christ_n be_v under_o condemnation_n because_o the_o holy_a ghost_n frequent_o ascribe_v our_o actual_a or_o personal_a justification_n to_o faith_n and_o can_v we_o read_v those_o scripture_n without_o offence_n or_o do_v any_o think_v they_o understand_v this_o point_n better_o than_o paul_n or_o the_o other_o apostle_n 5.1_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n we_o have_v peace_n with_o god_n 3.28_o etc._n etc._n therefore_o we_o conclude_v that_o a_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o faith_n 2.16_o etc._n etc._n know_v that_o a_o man_n be_v not_o justify_v by_o
